“Best hotel ever!”
Reviewed January 26, 2012

We went there for one week in October 2011.We really enjoyed ourselves and all the positive reviews that you read here are true.We have travelled a lot around Europe to several places and this is by far the best hotel with the best people that you could find.Everything was excellent for us!Our room was large with modern and chic furniture,a modern bathroom and a big veranda admiring the beautiful sea and town of Mykonos.Sophia and her staff treated us like a part of their family. They were always very warm and smily. The service was perfect too.Everything we wanted we had it at once.We strongly recommend you to go there for a mykonian vacation. We already planning to go back again this year!

Room Tip: We had a family deluxe room which was like a suite. It's number was 112.Try this.It is very nice.

We took the decision tpo choose Alkyon Hotel for our October stay after we read all the reviews on TripAdvisor! It was definitely worth it! We loved our Honeymoon Room (we hardly left our room) and enjoyed literally everything from the staff at the reception and at the bar till the fabulous breakfast served on the large beautiful breakfast area having the Mykonos town over in front of us! We didn’t book the transfer from the port to the hotel as we thought it would be really easy to catch a taxi to get there, but when we arrived everything was gone either taxis or buses. So we had the phone number of Alkyon and we called them to help us out.We spoke with Sophia and she sent us a driver to pick us up!The driver came at once.Such a great and generous service!
The next day Sophia reccommened to visit Ano Mera Village, which was magnificent. Our room by the way was super with a large double bed and a paquet of red roses with a bottle of red wine waiting for us to taste it! PLEASE JUST DO IT AND BOOK HERE!

Everything about Alkyon Hotel was perfect for us from the beginning to the end.The location is superb. A short walk to the main town and top the bus terminal to access any part of the island. The view is unbeatable. We had a large room with our own veranda facing the the old port and Harbour with the sunsets in a full corner. Best of all are the hosts Sophia and her parents Maria and George.Such friendly service and attention to detail. Breakfast is homemade using organic fresh products from their own farm such as tomatoes, cucumbers, melon, water melon e.t.c.These are so yummy and a good start of the day!We stayed 3 nights and we loved every minute of it.Do yourself a favour and stay here!

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms offer better views. So I advise you to request one of them.

We booked two rooms for two people in september. Our decision was made based on trip advisor reviews. The hotel team picked us up at the the port, at the scheduled time. Sophia, the owner of the hotel, set us up a rental car agency and gave us beaches and restaurants suggestions.

We reccommend to book the deluxe room with balcony and sea view. It´s much better than the other ones.

Besides some reviews tells that Sophia is not friendly, we have no complaints at all. Sophia is lovelly. Every time we needed her advices she was ready and friendly to help us.

The hotel is a short walk down to the village. It´s good because it´s very difficult to park in the village at night.

alkyon is a good hotel with a plus a beautiful pool over the city of mykons: the staff is very helpful and they were very helpful to help me during a sudden boat strike they assisted me for my tickets and itinerary (i was on the way to other islands) the room is ok, no thrills but quiet even if at road level, they even help commuting you to airport or port when leaving, overall hghtly reccomended

We stayed at Alkyon for 4 nights in the middle of October while our trip in Greece and I can honestly say that this hotel is one of the best we have ever stayed in. Every aspect of our stay was truly enjoyable, beginning with our e-mail reservation process, right through the end and our escort to the airport.

All the staff made every effort to make us feel at home and they have succeded that! All their recommendations were spot on and nothing was too much trouble. Sophia is fantastic.Views are fabulous and the rooms are splendid.

Customer service, location/views, cleanliness, tasty breakfast. We had everything we could have asked for.The bad was that we had to leave, but would definitely stay again!

Room Tip: Choose a room right in front of the pool or next to it.These are spacious and beautiful designed.

From the moment we arrived in Mykonos to our departure a few days later we felt we had come to a magical place just perfect for unwinding. We stayed in room number 122 which had an enormous balcony overlooking the Mykonos port and the town.
The thing that sets Alkyon apart from other hotels is it's exceptional service. Sophia and her team think of everything to make your stay enjoyable and there is nothing I can think of to suggest as an improvement. They are all so kind and helpful to their guests :). If you are planning a holiday to Mykonos this is the place to stay. We are already planning our return now for our next time in Mykonos and our next stay in Alkyon Hotel!

Room Tip: Choose number 122.It is perfectly located for great sunset views!
