“Excellent Fish/wine, Good pasta, good-looking pizzas”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2012

Perched up one one of the hundreds of totally white street squares in Old Mykonos town, the atmosphere is a given. We ran into the restaurant on one of our walks through the town, and it happened to look really nice at a tiem when we were really hungry, so we sat down - not to be dissapointed.

Grilled Seabass was perfect, wine list was extensive and good. Spagetti was really good, but not quite excellent for a Italian run place. Enjoy !

“Great food, excellent service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2012

Casa di Giorgio is in Mykonos town, in a charming little street behind the Catholic Cathedral It offers a varied menu - fresh fish, seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes, great salads, authentic pasta, risotto and pizza. The food was superb - we had a great pizza and rich gnocchi napoletana, with a very generous and beautifully fresh salad. The service was very friendly and efficient. Most of the tables aren't under cover, but this isn't usually a problem in Mykjonos. Try a carafe of their local house wine - we had half a litre and found it so good that we ordered another half litre, which came in at the same price as if we'd ordered a litre in the first place! Do give Casa di Giorgio a try!

“Wonderful italian restaurant hidden away near Little Venice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 29, 2011

My husband and I stumbled on this restaurant during the day when we visited a cute little church that is in front of the restaurant. After checking the menu and the prices and being given a friendly welcome by the Manager/Owner we decided to return that evening.

99% of the restaurant is outdoors so if it is raining this is not the place to go. When we arrived about 8.30pm the restaurant was very busy with people waiting to get in, which to us is always a good sign with an italian restaurant. We waited about 15 mins and were given a table near the sea side of the restaurant, which is near a wall.
We were given menu and someone came very quickly to take our orders, but we ordered a bottle of wine and a drink and said we would like to relax and take our time reading the menu. The waiter returned again in about 10 mins (they were very efficient) but again I said we werent ready. The waiter (one of the 2 who spoke english) said to wave to him when we were ready.
We ordered appetizers and a main course of pasta. The food was well presented and very tasty. After dinner we sat back and people watched as the restaurant is very busy with lots people coming in late, and from what we could see a number of them were locals plus a lot of italians.
We enjoyed a tirasumu and a lovely cold lemoncella late in the night.
We returned to this restaurant almost every second night during our 7 night stay on Mykonos. We found this restaurant to be very relaxing with a good atmosphere and excellant food. It was also excellant value at about 50/60euro for 2 course, wine and drinks.
We were always recognised and warmly welcomed. On 2nd and third visits we always asked for a table more at the front of the restaurant as the light was better there to see what you are eating.
When the Mykonos wind is blowing do not sit in the area where there is a slight water view as it gets very windy and cold. We had coats on 1 or 2 nights while we were there.
Would highly recommend this as one of the better restaurants in Mykonos town.
