Having read some of the recent reviews, I felt that I should at last submit my own review. I have been to Mykonos 20 times over the last 30 years, and have visited the Piano bar on almost every trip. The bar is in a charming old building in the Little Venice area of the town and has great sea views at the back together with lovely art work and mirrors.
Jody and Nikos are great hosts and with their friendly staff always make visitors welcome, whether you stay in the bar area where you quickly meet old and new friends or in the cabaret area. The bar has a largely gay clientele but is very straight friendly. There is a great range of cocktails and prices are similar to other Mykonos bars but with the added cabaret are good value.
Cabaret is normally from 10.30pm - 2am and the bar stays open for an hour after that. The much loved performers such as Phyllis Pastore, Kathy "Babe" Robinson, with David Dyer on the piano are always of very high quality. I find it annoying and rude when the singing and music is drowned out by chatter and noisiness and sometimes the singer or Jody and Nikos have to remind people of this! If others find this offensive then there are many other bars in town for having a noisy night out with your pals. The music is largely songs from the shows but with some modern tearjerkers, together with sing a longs to get the audience going.
If you enjoy a good piano/cabaret bar with great hosts and a friendly atmosphere you will love it here.
