We've been enjoying Lotus restaurant for many years and we love it, The setting is so charming in a cosy space off the main street under a canopy of bougainvillea. The food is excellent - all freshly prepared and cooked and delicious. What really makes this restaurant special is the welcome - we adore Elsa the owner and have become friends over the years and always get an amazing welcome from her, her beautiful two sons and Jorgas behind the bar. Every year it is full of regulars who go back year after year - so that is all the recommendation you need. We now can't eat there without seeing the same faces and saying our hello's to people from all around the world who also go back year after year. You are in for a lovely meal and evening if you go - also have a seat at the bar for a cosy drink before or after dinner - it's where those in the know hang out.

Entering Lotus means a mix of warmth, romance, and lovely music which creates a cosy atmosphere.
Elsa the host who is running the place is the icing of the cake with her beautiful smile, her motherly care and her love and knowledge for food and drink.
The drinks are made by the god Zeus called Georgos himself with so much passion that every drink can be his own.
After the first time we had eaten at Lotus we went back 2 more times as we were in love with the atmosphere. The food was tasting excellent, homemade and cared with love.
Elsa was always the sparkle who was in the middle and created a lovely hospitality with a mix of humour and care.
We will definitely go back next year and will recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have a romantic night, with excellent food for a valuable price.

Great restaurant, took us a little while to fine it as the Mayor order the very friendly lady that owned the place to take it down. But if you find the bank on the main street, you are also most there.
Food was really good, I was very impressed with my main course. Will 100% be going back. Can not say a bad thing about this place, well bar the sign, but that is the Mayors fault.

My family and I visited the Lotus last night, our third visit in 5 days, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Perfectly located on the grand Matogiannia Street. Lotus provides the perfect venue for value, quality and service. We dined ‘alfresco’, enjoying the warm evening air of Mykonos town and watching the world go by from our table situated under the Lotus-covered trellis that adorns some of the restaurant ceiling. “Mamma Elsa” (or Elsa as she is properly known) is the perfect Host and tended to all of our needs, whilst also indulging in friendly, informative chat about the town and surrounding beaches (and even drawing multiple maps so we could find our way to Lia Beach and the famous Shirley Valentine beach). The food is exquisite at Lotus – some of the best we have enjoyed in Mykonos – we particularly enjoyed the Lotus chicken curry, followed by the homemade almond cake (or homemade chocolate cake as was the case last night). Absolutely delicious. If you are looking for truly gorgeous food served in a warm, intimate environment, softly lit, with café del mar style and/or Greek music gently playing in the background, Lotus is for you. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Go, see, enjoy!

It's very easy in Mykonos to pay through the nose and end up with greasy canteen style food so Lotus rapidly became our favourite restaurant there. I'd definitely recommend the house specials and the wine list. The moussaka was excellent.

It's a small family run style restaurant and the slightly chaotic nature of the service adds to the charm.
