We had a fabulous stay in one of these villas. We had originally booked a one-bedroom villa but were upgraded to an amazing two-bed one because there was a bit of noise from some building works on the lower level. The difference was incredible, it was huge, on two floors - the upstairs floor had the master bed & bath with a large outdoor stone bath on the terrace (room for two) - wonderful to soak in there whilst looking up at the stars. The lower floor was living, kitchen, 2nd bedroom & bath and an absolutely fab private pool and huge terrace with outside seating area. It was very quiet when we were there so we did use the main infinity pool too. The spa is lovely - we had it all to ourselves a couple of times. Breakfasts are good - we only had dinner on one night as we felt it was a bit pricey. A car was included in our holiday package so we were able to get out & about to eat, a little village just down the hill was perfect for seafood and a relaxed atmosphere. These villas don't come cheap but they are perfect for quiet relaxation, we'll be back!

Room Tip: We would book the larger villa next time, the difference between the one & two bedroom villas is...

Whilst the hotel facilities were as described and the villa very comforatble, well furnished and having extremely comfortable beds, the location was disappointing to say the least and not as expected from the description by Jet2 or by Trip Advisor and the Hotel. One of the nicest things about this hotel is the staff especially in the restaurant who are charming and very attentive.

Unfortunately, the mian road from La Caleta through to the Golf Adeje course, and the main route to the highway, connecting the area to Los Cristianos and beyond, runs directly beneath the villa balconys. It spoils the tranquility, making sunbathing on the private balconys impossible due to the very high noise level. It was impossible to relax or have a conversation, traffic often consisted of heavy goods and buses, which had to change to low gears to navigate the hill, increasing noise/pollution levels - distincly unpleasant.

Also the location was'nt as described by either Jet2 or Trip Advisor, all trips outside the hotel involved a taxi - 5 KM and 5 Euros to La Caleta and no less than 20 Euro and 15 KM to the nearest resort of Costa Adeje or Los Cristianos.

A 5* price for a 2* stay - I wouldn't recommend the hotel for those wanting to explore the area or needing to relax!

Room Tip: You will have to pay for a very large villa to get away from the road, so for couples it's not g...

We stayed for 3 nights early Jan13 and loved the Royal Garden Villas, from the moment we arrived we knew we wouldnt want to leave! Not many places live up to the hype in all aspects but thankfully this place did. Gorgeous villa with everything and more we could need, luxurious and fantastic attention to detail in terms of decor and furnishings. Lovely views and staff. We had a car so shops no issue, we were more than happy with the decision to stay slightly out of the main resorts as we could nip about and had the benefit of peace, quiet and views over Adeje. La Caletta restaurants of a high quality, "Pisces" gambas ajillo (garlic prawns) and the garlic bread were a highlight! 5
All in all Royal Gardens is 5 stars all the way and defo a place I would return to or recommend

Found Pardise in Adeje Tenerife . The villa had every comfort one could wish for from Robes slippers , fridge full of delicous food and drinks. Sumptuous beds on the terrace and a pool.
Sheer luxury [ HEAVEN]

Room Tip: Some villas overlook the road. Also overlooks the golf course.

Stayed here for our honeymoon in September, and right from the start it was fantastic. Beautiful setting, quiet surroundings (apart from the road - more later), fabulous villa and first class staff. We stayed in Villa Sofia which had a beautiful large kitchen, very well presented and decorated living room, beautiful bedroom and just stunning bathroom. Outside we had an excellent terrace with a plunge pool (about 10 feet square, not really big enough to swim but excellent when you've been in the sun a while) and very nice furniture. So many good things to say that basically we had to look to find things to criticize.

Not so good bits:
Ok, the road. It didn't actually bother us, maybe because we live in a busy town. There is a fair amount of road noise. What did bother us was the dirt it created. There was a dust layer covering everything on the terrace.

We never had a freezer to make ice with. However, ice is delivered twice daily by the staff and on request if needed.

The room has loads of things around that can be purchased which was a bit annoying. The fridge was about a quarter full of cans and bottles of pop, wine, water and such. The kitchen table had bags of crisps, nuts and such in a basket and on the worktop there was coffee/tea etc, all with a price list. We just didn't want it.

There is no market nearby at all. Closest is at the top of the hill near the main motorway. Didn't visit but must be 20 minutes walk away.
If you walk into Costa Adeje be prepared for a long walk (steep incline) as it took us 35-45 minutes, some of which was over a rocky area to save time. Really, you have to use a taxi which costs about 7 euros per trip (+ tip). If you want to go into Los Cristianos it cost us 15 - 17 euros + tip each way.

Particularly good bits:
The villa itself. Lots of beautiful stonework, the floors were gorgeous! Very tasteful decor. The bed was a queen of such proportions and comfort. Nice extra touch was the dual area air conditioning, one for bedroom, one for living room/kitchen - note, don't be tempted to set the air con below 24c!

Breakfast had an excellent wide choice, both hot and cold variety. We even had a champagne breakfast at one point. Many thanks to the breakfast staff, particularly Jorge!

The staff were all excellent. Very attentive, always a good morning or a hello with a smile. Certainly didn't see any moody faces. Nothing was too much trouble.

The little touches. Things like a notes informing of the weather forecast for the following day, news of whats on like markets and such, and suggestions of things to do and see. We certainly appreciated and made use of them

Overall its an excellent complex and very luxurious. Heartily recommended.

David & Claire

We booked 3 nights at this beautiful resort, although the postion of the villas are in close proximity to the road, when you first walk through the gates to the descrete receiption area, you could be on a remote island in the Indian ocean!
The design of both the rooms & the common areas have been thought through in great detail, offering absolute luxury.
Beautiful furnished rooms with no expense spared, a car is required due to its location & secure parking is provided below.
Would definatley return & recomend to friends & family.

More on that later,

We were in Villa Carmen on the lower level, a present from me to my wife for her birthday.

As soon as you walk through the rustic wooden gates you realise you are in a very special place. The setting and the whole environment are first class. The villa was every thing we could have wished for, spacious, well appointed, excellent in every way.
The whole place was so peaceful and quite ( with one exception ) and walking down to the restaurant in the early evening you could smell the heady fragrance from a plant I believe is known as Gentleman of the Night, truly hypnotic.

The restaurant was not as dark or as cold as other reviewers have mentioned. This was due in no small part to the restaurant and in fact most of the environs being decorated for Christmas, it gave the restaurant a magical feel.

The food there was first class, breakfast very good and evening meals terrific, we were on half board so apart from one disaster at the Monkey Bar in Las Americas we dined in style.

Every member of staff we encountered was very good, friendly, efficient but without being 'in your face'.

The gym and spa area got well used and we really enjoyed those facilities.

Question, is it a haven of peace and tranquillity, answer yes, as long as you don't use your patio.

Anyone who tells you that the road noise on the lower levels is not a problem is being 'economical with the truth'. Not that bad on the Sat/Sun but come Monday morning, oh dear, there must be either a quarry or some other construction work above the complex, there was a constant stream of large empty tipper lorries going up the hill then returning down fully laden with some sort of dark gravel or volcanic ash. At one point in the middle of the afternoon I counted 30 vehicle movements in five minutes, that's over 350 per hour. Most light cars were not a problem but the motorbikes, coaches, buses and above all the lorries made conversation impossible as they passed. At one point i was listening to my iPad via my headphones, I had AC/DC cranked up to the max and the lorry noise still drowned them out!!!.

However as the week wore on we became a little more immune and the view was very nice.

Was the noise excessive, yes it was, did it spoil our holiday, most certainly it did not, would we return to Royal Garden Villas, absolutely YES. We would however try and book a villa on the second level.

Overall it was a fantastic week, blessed as it was with excellent weather, in the past four or five years we have become hooked on cruising but this week gave us food for thought, we may well combine both in future.

Room Tip: Go for the upper level if you can, the road IS VERY NOISY.
