“A must stay and do in Tenerife”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

Just returned from a week in this wonderful hotel which met and exceeded our expectations. Could not fault room which we requested by e- mailing to reception before our arrival and we had a queen size bed with a balcony affording sea views. Room service was as you should expect for a hotel of this rating but access to the room
was a problem FIVE times and a technician was sent THREE TIMES TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM WITH THE DOOR LOCK ! Food was varied and of good quality with
a selection of hot and cold dishes with an attentive waiting staff and a good ambience
in the bright and airy restaurant.Children were catered for and high chairs provided.
The pool area was well managed and entertainment very good. The atrium area was
lovely with ample seating for guests. However ther was one grumpy person on reception
who assured us that of the 500 or so rooms we were an isolated case with the keycard
problem NOT according to other guests we spoke to who had similar issues with room
access and had the technician visit. Perhaps a retraining of grumpy would be of benefit.
So I have therefore downgraded my review from an overall excellence due to a distinct
lack of customer care at reception and the utter annoyance with the keycard which was renewed at least THREE times. We would come back to the hotel but so long as the door locks are sorted out pronto.

Room Tip: Ask for room 4042

Just returned from 10 day holiday and had an amazing time. Travelled with husband and 17yr old daughter and her friend. Hotel lovely, spotless ,polite staff. Food really good with plenty choice. Pool lovely, people reserving sunbeds early morning in 2nd week when it became busier which was annoying. Fabulous location near to bars, beach etc. Can recommend Aqualand water park despite Thompson reps determined we should go on their very expensive trip to Siam Park water park. Walked to Aqualand, half the price, no queues for slides and amazing dolphin show. Great bands at Blue Cactus Bar, also at Harleys bar and fun nights at Bahia beach bar.

Most people have made the relevant comments. Nice clean hotel, good food, excellent location. Plenty of sun beads and large variety of food? Entertainment variable but on the whole above average (Jonny Circus, a Chaplin comedy act was superb). Only if you need a fridge to store things other than cans is it worth getting one otherwise don't bother, it's not worth the cost. If you stay here you can also watch the entertainment at the sister hotel, much the same things but in a different order so may suit your timetable better. Would stay here again.

Just returned from a week with my daughter, package holiday with Thomson, wanted a safe hotel with entertainment if we wanted, beach near by and close to the airport ( short transfer time). We were not disappointed. The Hotel was very clean tidy, staff were always helpful and their English was much better than my Spanish !. The sun terrace always had plenty of sun beds and pool towels were provided. The bar by the pool wasn't over priced and buying a local ice cream in a cone was cheaper than at home ! We were half board so breakfast and evening meals were provided. The food was buffet style, it always looked fresh and the dining area was always clean and tidy, there was a choice of pre prepared food or freshly cooked fish or meats. 5 minutes way by taxi or free bus was Siam waterpark, this was worth the visit, by the time I had screamed my way around the rides it was worth the 25 pounds entry fee. There was nightly entertainment if you wanted it of different varieties but if you didn't want it you didn't need to go. Wifi was available but at a cost, it wasn't available in the bedrooms only in the public areas. There was a mix o different people, couples young and old, families and singles so it looked like a hotel for all. Brilliant time had.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with view of the beach and not on the 1st floor if you are a light sleeper

Hotel is situated in a brilliant location right on the beach and close to many bars and restaurants. Very good atmosphere in and around the hotel. Hotel is very grand looking and is kept very clean at all times. The only downside is that you have to pay for the safe and the fridge which as its so hot you will need to have it. The rooms are clean but basic which for the amount of money you pay I think the safe and fridge should come with the room. Breakfast is amazing everything you could think of to eat is there and dinner is the same. The hotel caters for everyone however we found there are a lot of screaming kids!

All in all the hotel is lovely and out of all the other hotels around I would definitely recommend this one and will come back. Excellent stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room above the ground floor as it can get noisy.

Wonderful hotel, very impressive, very clean. Food was fantastic plenty of choice and very fresh. Staff very friendly nothing too much trouble. Rooms very clean and towels white and changed daily. Bed linen changed twice during the week. Lovely pool with plenty of sun beds and pool towels provided, beach on the doorstep. Lovely walks on the level along promenade. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend this holiday. Good entertainment every night. Would request room on the front because we were allocated a balcony on the side overlooking the tennis court although we could see the sea and pool if we looked to the right. We were in room 2014 on the second floor.

Room Tip: Ask for room overlooking the front not on the ground floor.

For the past 25 years, (bar one), we have visited this hotel. Always in the summer, and most of the time at the start of the winter. It goes without saying that we rate this hotel extremely highly or we wouldn,' go back - would we. The range and quality of food is excellent. You should really go on a diet and lose a few pounds before you go as you can eat as much as you like and easily put on at least a few pounds. The staff are always friendly and extremely efficient in the dining room. Rooms are always kept clean. My only gripe would be having to pay for an empty mini-bar.
It is also right beside the nearest promenade and very near to a bus stop.

Room Tip: All the rooms have a view of the sea (although one or two need you to be a giraffe!!). We never ask...
