Large, impersonal hotel. They had gone out of their way to decorate the hotel for Christmas.
Our room (1042) had a balcony with sea view and I think the majority were the same. It was quiet and overlooked the adult only sunbathing area. Two plastic chairs and table provided on the balcony. The room was fresh and clean with sheets changed during our week stay. The shower was over/in the bath which may cause difficulty for some people. Maybe there are rooms with a walk in shower.Small soap and shower gel provided. The only complaint I had was the mattress which was too hard for me and I had to request a topper.
There were apparently approx 1000 people of all nationalities staying over Christmas and this caused some waiting for the evening meal. Get to the vast dining room early and you got a seat but by 7.30p.m. there was a queue. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet style with plenty of variety. Eat the salad and fruit if you want vitamins. Catering for so many made it impossible to provide well cooked vegetables. However because of the number of guests to be catered for the Christmas dinner was in two sittings with waiter service. We were allocated 9.15pm and I thought the main course had been cooked for the 6.15pm sitting and kept warm. Bit disappointing.
There was entertainment every evening, some better than others. The small stage area they were expected to perform on really limited what they could do and restricted performers such as the Chinese acrobats.
An abundance of sun beds round the pool and a separate area for adults only. You can get from the pool area right onto the promenade to walk off all that readily available food!
Would we go back? Probably. The hotel can tick all the boxes to get its 4 stars. For five stars it would have to do something about the vast overcrowded dining room and I don't see how they could rectify this.

Room Tip: Request a room overlooking the adult only sundeck.

We have just come back, after having Christmas and new year at the Guayarmina Costa Adeje.
Very good Hotel very clean ,staff all very helpful, the Christmas Gala night and new years Gala night was exceptional.
A couple of complaints you have to pay for wi-fi 6 euros per day, safe in room at 2euro 50 per day
and pay to use fridge.
Location could not be beter.

Room Tip: Pool side to get sun on balcony

Booked this hotel for 7 of us during Christmas week. Having never been away for Christmas before we did not really know what to expect. We were not disappointed as the hotel did a great job in making guests feel festive. The Christmas Gala dinner was great fun and the entertainment for our nephews aged 4 and 6 was excellent on both Christmas Eve and Christmas day.
However, there were some issues that we experienced. Firstly, our 3 rooms ( next to each other) were right by the road overlooking the dustbins. The noise in the mornings of mopeds and vans was not good and we were even woken on Boxing Day morning at 3.50 am with the bin full of bottles being emptied by a lorry with lights blazing ! Avoid rooms 253 - 255 if
possible!
We did ask to change rooms on the first day that we arrived but this could not be done for 2 days so decided to stay where we were rather than unpack for 7 people and then go through the upheaval.
In general the food in the restaurant was good and there was plenty of choice.
The kids club was not as good as we would have hoped and the children got bored quickly.
Overall the holiday was good and the staff at the hotel worked very hard to make it a special week.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is on a high level and away from the road

2nd time at this hotel in 3years.
Never been to a hotel for a 2nd time in fear it won't be as good as the first. This was an exception and they did not fail to deliver the goods!

What the hotel may lack in room amenities, such as flat screen tv, it more than makes up for with their activities they offer and the friendliness of staff.

The staff made you feel at home at all times. All three entertainers were spectacular and friendly. The nightly shows were brilliant, the wait and bar staff were highly experienced.
I was pleasantly surprised to see many familiar faces from 3 years ago.

Ivan,Mario and Monika were the most personable people I have met in a hotel.
They truly made this not just a 'stay', but a family holiday that will be hard to top.
Which is why I hops none leave as we will be coming back within the year!

The location is great, loads to do outside the hotel, but you don't need to.

For those that said the drinks are expensive, are not comparing apples to apples. The sangria at €12 for a litre is made from scratch and cannot be compared to the €5 supermarket nonsense that is sold in some pubs.

Just returned from our second holiday at this hotel. Everything was, as before, super location, cleanliness and all staff were helpful and smiling. The only thing we could comment on was the food. Lack of fresh vegetables (although plenty of salad). If you wanted a cooked breakfast the bacon was overcooked most days, fried eggs cooked in 6" of oil and omlettes were made from a prepacked source! The desserts were very repetative, almost the same thing every night. Also the male pianist in the piano bar, was so noisy and got carried away with jazzing up the tunes, you couldn't make out what he was playing! The lady pianist was excellent. Definitely not as good as our previous visit. Shame because location is excellent.

Stayed here for two weeks. Had a lovely balcony room overlooking the sea-front and beach.
The hotel is very spacious, although an unusual design and it takes a while to get your bearings. It is all kept very clean with inside and outside areas being cleaned daily. The food in
the self-service restaurant was generally very good with plenty of choice and something to suit
everyone.Although sometimes you had to queue for meals they seemed to get you seated quite quickly. There were plenty of sunbeds to go round and although some people did put towels on to reserve, there really was no need. The entertainment was quite good, although some acts were better than others. The position of this hotel is great - there are lots of shops and bars along the front from the hotel. Look forward to going back here in the future.
