I will make this review as detailed & honest as possible :)

My boyfriend and I had stayed at this hotel in September 2013 for 7 nights Half Board. We are in our early 20's, It was our first holiday together & it was perfect for us. We wanted a nice relaxing & quiet holiday & that is what we got! On arrival we were checked in by the friendly staff in reception & were given information papers about what meal times were e.t.c.

We stayed in a pool view room on the 1st floor which had a cute little balcony with a table and 2 chairs. There is a safe in the room & you have to pay a €10 deposit to get the key, but that's fine cos you get it back when you leave! I was really impressed with the room to be honest, there was a mini fridge, a small tv which had about 3 english channels & an air conditioner. The bed was 2 beds pushed together but it honestly wasn't a problem for us, it was large enough that both of us could fit on one of the 2 beds & I loved that there was an enormous mirror behind the bed hehe. There was also a large sofa & another chair that could be pulled out and used as a sofa bed. The room was lovely & clean, the maids did a fab job, it always smelt and looked clean everyday after they had been, we even left them a cheeky tip on the day we left because they defo deserved it!
The service was great! When we first arrived I wanted to freshen up and take a shower, I immediately noticed that the shower head was broken, (apart from that the bathroom was very nice) it wouldn't stay up & kept falling down so my boyfriend called room service and they told us someone would come up to our room, & they did straight away & within 5 minutes the guy had got us a new shower head and BAM problem solved.

I have no idea how anyone could complain about the food at this hotel, I am a pretty fussy eater & I'm a Pescatarian so I don't eat any meat with the exception of fish, I couldn't complain! There is literally something for everyone. At breakfast there was a wide range of foods, there was fresh fruit, mini baguettes, cereal, yoghurt, pastries, toast & the usual cooked breakfast (I couldn't eat the scrambled egg which I was quite sad about because it was literally full of bits of egg shell)
We never had lunch so I can't comment on that.
The dinner buffet was yummy! Yes they do have some of the same foods every night but they always had something different too! I also ate chips every night but not cos I had to, they were just really nice haha. They had an area full of lovely fresh salad & they always had a different kind of soup every night & then the main food area had a wide range of different things to choose from and one night they even had a huge pan of freshly cooked paella and it was amazing. I personally was a little disappointed with the desserts, but my boyfriend was more than happy as they had ice cream every night and he loves the stuff!

We never actually used the hotels main pool as we used the rooftop area which we loved! It was very quiet and the views were amazing. There was always plenty of sun loungers up there & there were 2 pools, one either side of the roof. There is also a bar up there which is handy if you fancy a cheeky drink while you are sunbathing. There is a cornered off section for nudists but to be honest, most of the women on the main rooftop were casually nude on their top half anyway lol!

For me the beach was disappointing, on one day we had a stroll down to the nearby beach just a short walk away down a hill, & it wasn't a relaxing environment, it was almost like a party beach, packed full of sun loungers - everywhere, too many people, lots of bars and loud music being pumped out. We stayed for about 10 minutes and then we decided to go, & went back to the hotel & up to the roof :) It didn't bother us too much as we liked it up there anyway! We wanted peace and quiet! Even so, there were some nice little shops and places to eat right by the beach.

If you are an animal lover, definitely arrange a trip to Jungle Park! We had a wonderful day out there. There is a free bus that takes you there which was awesome & hassle free.

There is a tennis court at the side of the hotel & also a very mini golf course, my boyfriend & I tried both of these out one morning but not for very long as it was too much playing sports in the hot weather haha!
Downstairs there is a games room which would be great if you have kids & there is an XBOX too. The spa area, gym and a hair salon (they did a fish pedicure too) is also downstairs, we had a walk down to see them & they looked lovely but we never actually used those facilities.

Overall, I would go back in a heartbeat! The area of Tenerife was gorgeous & the hotel was spot on. I was honestly just so happy to be away with my boyfriend enjoying his company that the little things which people moan about would never have bothered me. It's all about the attitude you have, be positive & you will love it... be a grumpy negative nitpicker, & you will always find something to complain about wherever you go.

We were unsure which Hotel to book as they all seemed to have positive and negative feedback but decided to go with Fanabe Costa Sur. I am glad we did.
We didn't want to be in the busy chavvy areas (Las Americas / Los Christianos) and Costa Adej'e is tranquill. The beach is beautiful. The walk is not far at all, or hilly for that matter. We walked along to other beach areas (not too far mind) but Costa Adej'e was by far the nicest. We wanted to watch the rugby - there was a sports bar on the beach, 1 Euro a beer!
Staff - So very friendly and couldn't do enough for you.
Food - there was so much choice. We were a little worried as there were two vegetarians within our party but they have never had such a good selection for an All-Inclusive restaurant. There were various pasta/rice/potato dishes. Every night there was different fresh fish being grilled to your taste on one grill and steaks/fillets/chops (Veal/Pork/Chicken etc.) on another, all with tasty sauces. Plenty of vegetables to choose from. Breakfast - choice of cereals/fried breakfast/omelettes/meats & cheeses/ varieties of fruits and yoghurts/ breads/tea/coffee/juices.
Entertainment - We were not expecting much but when we did go and check it out it was fun (could have probably gone on a little later)
Pool - We spent more time at the beach but the time we did spend around the pool was good, nice to chat to other holiday makers.
Roof terrace - What a gem!! The naturist area is sectioned off so don't be put off by that! Plenty of sunbeds, a bar, and views to die for.
Bar - we were All-Inclusive. The staff are continually checking if you would like another drink. We sat outside most evenings (a piano or guitar player singing popular songs) a lovely atmosphere. Smiley staff who are happy to serve you.
We did venture out to Las Americas one evening - just to remind us what the youngsters get up to and no surprise it kicked off, we were happy to retreat back to Costa Adej'e.
Room - we were given a large double that was lovely but realised it was situated over the delivery section of the hotel so we were woken early on the first morning. We asked reception if it was possible to be moved and they arranged it immediately. We were moved to a slightly smaller room but it was a pool view so much preferred. The beds are so very comfortable! The hotel is very very clean. I used the gym a few times, basic but adequate.
We went to Siam Water Park, (The Alton Towers of Aqua Parks - brilliant!) there is a free bus stop just a few hundred yards from the hotel
I would definitely return to this hotel. We visited at the end of October/early November. The weather was a lovely 24 - 28 degrees, it rained one afternoon, so not bad at all.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view. We were overlooking the delivery entrance for the first night and were woken u...

First time at the hotel. Surprised at its size but as hotel was not full there seemed to be plenty of room for everyone. Our room was on 3rd floor just above the entertainment area. Too noisy but we were moved to a 1st floor pool view room without any fuss. Liked the rooftop sunbathing area which was very quiet with great views. Plenty of choice at all meal times and drinks plentiful. Had a look at a junior suite but not worth the extra money involved. Would be suitable for a honeymoon couple. Staff in the restaurant, bars and reception worked extremely long hours but were always very helpful and cheerful and spoke English. Towels changed daily and pool towels were available. Location of hotel is suitable for walks along beside the sea plus an abundance of shops and bars nearby.

Room Tip: Pool view rooms on high floors are quieter.

This was our 4th time at this hotel. On the other ocassions we had a pool view but this time we were given a room facing the road. So I asked if we could have a pool view and we were allowed to change. The hotel is still very good. It was my husbands birthday while we were here and he was given a bottle of champagne on ice two glasses and a card which was a lovely gesture. Had a great time the weather was very sunny and hot so we enjoyed sunbathing on the roof top garden. Lovely views from here. We were on a half board basis which we always do. Food just as good as before. Like this hotel and the surrounding areas lovely walks to the beaches. The market is on Thursday and Saturday just around the corner in the carpark. Hope to go again next year.

Room Tip: Perhaps a high floor on the right side more sun there.

On arrival reception staff were very friendly and gave us a voucher for complimentary drinks as our room wasn't ready. We had booked a family room because it was same price as a standard room thinking it may have been a bigger room, we were pleasantly surprise to have been given a junior suite , it was on the top floor on the left and near the end of the corridor, over the dining area being on the top floor we had sun all day and what a stunning sea view could see for miles and the sun setting on a evening. In the bathroom it had a big round hot tub with jets, there were also dressing gowns lots of complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer plus a small fridge and Air/con. It had 2 flat screen TVs, one in a alcove bedroom. The bed were so comfy and the the maid had put sweets inside a heart shape made from towels. The room was very quiet and we had a good sleep.
We were a little disappointed with the food, first evening we struggled to find something to eat because it was nearly all picked over next evening plenty of choice so a bit hit and miss and short of veg. Breakfast ok
Nice sunbathing area one for adults only, free beach towels just a10 euro deposit which you get back when you return the towel.
Entertainment really good Sister Sister not to be missed.
Stayed here with my husband on the 7th Oct for 3 days HB to add to our week timeshare. Enjoyed our short stay in the lovely clean room.

Room Tip: Top floor for a nice view

Having had a very enjoyable stay at the Fanabe two years ago we decided to return in October this year. We had previously had a room overlooking the front terrace with fabulous views of the mountains so e-mailed the hotel in advance to see if we could have a similar room. They were very obliging and on arrival we were given a room 453 in the same position although 2 storeys up. This would not be ideal for anyone who likes an early night as in the evening the entertainment is on the front terrace below so it is quite noisy until about 11.30pm but this didn't bother us as we were usually still on the terrace ourselves A very nice touch was a bottle of Cava on ice waiting for us. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The public areas are kept spotless. We were all inclusive and again found the selection of food very good and the waiters and bar staff very friendly and helpful. We were there during schools half term week so the main pool area was fairly busy but there is a rooftop area with plenty of sunbeds, two small pools and a bar which we used. There is also a nudist area for those wanting an all-over tan. We found the sunbed dash around the main pool rather amusing to watch whilst at breakfast. People were queuing at the entrance and at 9.30 it was a mad dash to the sunbeds on the far side, At this time of year one side of the pool is in the shade almost all day so I guess if you have children who want to be in the pool all day you need to get some sun!!. There is entertainment on the terrace every night, generally a singer/guitarist and sometimes a show (birds/snakes/etc). We found it quite average, with a couple which were very good. The hotel is well located and only a few minutes walk to the beach. Costa Adeje is alot quieter than Playa de las Americas which is within walking distance. Overall we are more than happy with the Fanabe which we think is excellent value for money and plan to return again.

Room Tip: Views from rooms 253, 353, 453 are stunning, with the mountains and Teide but these and rooms at fro...
