Short last minute break.had no problems at all, emailed hotel beforehand and requested choice of room which we got.
Room big, fridge, decent balcony, all clean, beds etc changed daily.I took own kettle as none in room. Overlooking pool area where there are plenty of sun beds,we did not use those preferred the rooftop area which was nice, adults only , again plenty of beds. Good that you are not allowed to reserve beds before 9am,pity all hotels do not adopt this policy.Towels available to hire if needed.
Entertainment. There were musicians, singers and children's entertainment but we did not stay in hotel at night so could not comment on quality but big crowds did choose to stay n and watch so maybe ok
Food. We opted for B & B and had plenty of choice, fail to see how anyone could go hungry here, good selection to suit all tastes with eggs.omelettes all cooked fresh for you and no long wait as previous reviews have stated, even toast machines were quick with 4 available.Fresh rolls cooked continually.
Resort area. Good location, only a slope down to beach/front not big hills as previous reviews and either way there are alternative routes to get there easier and quicker. Leisurely stroll takes you past the marina to Playa de las Americas about 45 mins or other way to El duque area which is much nicer.Lovely and clean everywhere with plenty of lovely areas to walk, benches everywhere if need to rest. Good choice of bars, restaurants, shops all close by,we tried different restaurant each night, lovely meals at Colonial and Gran Reserva? Both in Fanabe area to suit all budgets.
Market next to hotel thurs and Saturdays.Beach 5mins walk or nicer one 10 mins to El Duque.
All in all could not fault stay, weather really lovely ranged from 22 to 29 degrees, bit cooler at night ladies take a cardigan/jacket but have been to Tenerife many times before and cool nights only usually apply to this time of year.
Everywhere I.E hotel, resort etc spotlessly clean, friendly staff I think you can always look for something to moan about but don't think anyone would have just cause to here.

Room Tip: Room 320 opposite restaurant.has pool view and part sea view, sunny balcony all day, quiet at night .

Fortunately the weather was beautiful as this hotel was disappointing. Many rooms face main road with constant heavy traffic, cars buses etc. and noise coming up from reception/terrace at night. We only had B &B stay, thank heavens - the huge buffet breakfast was very poor. Cereals were cheap in quality, fruit past its sell-by date, hot food consisted of fatty bacon which was swimming in grease and eggs, also greasy, cooked to order if you don't mind queuing. I had a week of a bread roll and a yoghurt for breakfast. As our arrival at this hotel was quite late in the evening we went to the restaurant for dinner, also buffet, which was awful. As people were leaving they started to clear all the food away, strip tables, empty remaining food into the 'slops bin' and turn out the lights - all while we were still there.

On the plus side, our room was kept spotlessly clean by the very lovely staff but sadly we will not be returning.

We stayed here for October half term 2012, we chose the hotel based on it's location as we know Fanabe/Adeje well and it is very central, It is very close to the lovely beaches and great restaurants around Fanabe and Duque.

We were quite late to book somewhere so we didn't have much to choose from so we took a gamble based on the fact that we would be on the beach most days and out and about most evenings, also the reviews on trip advisor were OK.

Unfortunately the weather was awful so we only had 1 day at the beach and had to spend a lot of time at this hotel, it was not a great experience.

It is clean and the staff are very lovely, especially the entertainment team. However other than that I cannot say anything else good about it.

Breakfast: Takes a while to find a free table, queues for everything, especially the freshly prepared eggs/omelettes which there was often a 20 people long queue for. It was not good quality food at all, tinned fruit, dreadful juice from a machine although the coffee from the machines was ok. there wasn't much choice at all, even the bread rolls were often from the night before and were rock hard!

One morning the queue was so big (it was really raining bad that day so I think everyone turned up late and at the same time) that we gave up and went out in the rain to one of the seafront bars that serve breakfast and got a wonderful full English and coffee for 3 Euros each and it was much better than anything served at the hotel.

Lunch/Dinner: A nicer experience than breakfast but again the food was quite a poor standard to anything we've had before, we were half board so each day could have either lunch or dinner but we opted in the end to eat out all the time, there are so many really good quality and good value restaurants in the area.

Pool: Very bad design, quite funny to watch from the balcony all the people running for the best sunbeds once they open the area in the morning, there are only a very small number of beds that get sun all day, most get sun only for a couple of hours and some are in constant shade! There is a small rooftop pool and some sunbeds up there too but you cannot go there with young children.

Kids club: Only outdoor and tiny, our 6 and 8 year old girls went once to paint a t-shirt, it took 20 mins and they were bored and it was crammed full of kids, when it was raining there was nothing for them to do.

Entertainment: Mostly in the basement downstairs, which for halloween was good but the rest of the time wasn't nice, it felt like a dungeon! Again massive queues at the bar and to get a seat you had to turn up early.

Rooms: We had a room overlooking the pool area, they are very dated and the bathroom was really not great at all but the beds were comfy. The room was not very big for a family of four, we were quite squished in.

All in all it needs a big update to compete with a lot of the newer hotels in the area but even then we wouldn't return, there are just too many things wrong with it for us to ever go back, I can't believe it is a 4* really.

Stayed at Fanabe Costa Sur from 12th to 19th March. Hotel very clean and staff very efficient and helpful. All areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean and the rooms were a good size. Dont understand how anyone can complain about lack of choice in the restaurant as there was always so much choice and after all they are catering for many nationalities not just Brits. Stayed all inclusive and whilst we were happy most of the time did occasionally feel that we were second class guests for example with drinks at the bar very weak and watered down cocktails . Hotel does need to realise that we are not getting free drinks it is just that we have paid in advance.

Room Tip: Higher rooms always best for views and quietness

just returned from a week away at the fanabe hotel in costa adeje dates 9th march to 16th. first impressions of hotel were that it was extremely clean to a high standard. reception were pleasant and very helpful on arrival we requested a high level floor which we was given. There are 3 pools a big pool with baby pool on ground and also 2 pools to the roof terrace which was nice. the good thing with this hotel was that people was not allowed to lay out towels on sunbeds before 9am any towels before this time was removed by the lifeguard so we didnt the need to rush each morning to reserve our sunbeds. there are plenty of sunbeds although as the sun moves round part of the hotel stays in the shade we found best place to sunbathe was at the bar area and left side which stays sunny all day. my partner and i are not fussy eaters but we was disappointed with the food choices, mainly pork everyday for lunch and evenings it became too much by tye end and we found ourselves eating out for two days and we was on all inclusive was a major letdown. food was lukewarm and on more then one occasion we saw the chef undercooking the meat as the rush for people queing for meats, we even saw dogfish one night on the menu?? i feel the hotel is a 4 star in every other way but just lacks in the food area which waas very poor quality, staff however deserve 5 stars they run the hotel very efficient and are very hardworking and happy to please. i saw two cockroaches in my whole stay one on the third floor and the other around the pool area. entertainment was a good atmosphere, usually singers upstairs in the lobby area and more childrens entertainment mini discos downstairs. rooms are very spacious and kept to a good high standard of clealiness weather was good 22 degrees approx everyday hotel is situated in a perfect location, close to shops beach and added bonus to hotel is the market which is next door on tuesday thursdys and saturdays, we grabbed a few bargains here. overall experience great hotel but lacked in food. i would not return again.

Room Tip: choose a room facing the resturant

Recently arrived back from costa sur fanabe we went from the 9th march to 16th, first impressions of hotel looked a bit like a multi storey car park but inside was a different story it was immaculately clean to a high standard. When we had made the booking we had asked for high level floor our request was granted but unfortunately not on the sunny side however we asked if we could move room and the next day we could do so, found reception staff very helpful nothing was to much trouble. We had a family room as it was me and my partner and our 9 month old daughter the room was a good size again room cleaned to a high standard. There was enough sunbeds for all although as the sun moves around throughout the day half on the pool area then disappears into shade we found best area to be on the bar side in the morning and then the left hand side as it stays really sunny, added bonus is the roof terrace which has a great astro turf on the ground and beautiful rattan sunbeds adds a touch of luxury, there is a nudist area on the top but it is well hidden away and you cannot see anyone unless you enter the zone, there is a pool on the roof terrace also, we had all inclusive although we once regretted it once we had got there and wished we had of booked half board, food was very repetitive pork was on the menu everyday sometimes for lunch and dinner didn't find a lot of choice, it became boring towards the end of the week and we actually ate out for 2 nights. We are not fussy eaters but the food really could of been improved some of the quality of the food was awful bacon had bone in it and it was lukewarm 99 percent of the time however I found the omelettes quite nice in the mornings, we were extremely disappointed as we had read a lot of reviews and was expecting good food which was a bit of a let down. Staff however deserve 5 stars they are very very hardworking and always were polite and helpful, I had read reviews and was expecting steep hills outside the hotel we had a pram and we found that it wasn't too steep at all, weather was pleasant we enjoyed 22 degrees one day of cloud and one hot day of 26 degrees, on eating out we found an excellent restaurant located on the seafront called azar service was outstanding and the food was excellent and very reasonable in price, overall review great hotel but lacks in food department which was a big disappointment, we would not return again.

Room Tip: Ask for room facing the restaurant as it is sunny all day
