stayed for 3 weeks at this fab complex, booked with Alan Dow keys arrived in plenty of time and check in was easy, 2 bed apartment (A314) overlooking pool great views. Had to text Nikki a couple of times one of the beds hadn't been made up & the oven broke 1/2 way through our stay, the bedding was waiting for us on our return & the oven was replaced after a few days so no problem with getting help when needed. All the staff at this complex are friendly & helpful & the cleaners do a fantastic job. Say hello to Derrick & Ana who along with their staff Kim & Tommy give you a warm welcome at bar, we met some lovely people and can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: the higher up the better the view

1st time staying in the Los Geranios apartments in Torviscas Playa area. Stayed in apartment A702 booked through Alan Dow. The apartment was very spacious with 2 bedrooms, 1 bath. Plenty of room to sleep 6 as there was sofabeds in the lounge. Nice touch the last guest leaving a bottle of water in the fridge, (which is part of the deal), would also been nice to leave a toilet roll but that to me would have been a courtesy. Being on the 7th floor the view was spectacular, was great sitting eating breakfast watching the boats leaving the marina. A taxi from the airport costs 25 euros, don't make the mistake of booking Steve (on Alan Dow's website), he turned up in his works van which was filthy and charged us 25 euros. The only downside of our apartment was no air con in the apartment or canopy on the balcony, which in July made the balcony off limits after midday (unless you wanted to fry). These comments should no way put you off as the apartment was fantastic and by far one of the largest we've stayed in. The apartment complex is exceptionally clean, pool area cleaned daily. The pool bar/cafe was excellent, run by Derrick and Ana, the food was home cooked and of a very high standard. The prices were very reasonable, I can recommend the breakfasts or the steak and onion baguette both fantastic. We're already checking flights for next year and would definitely book the Los Geranios apartments again.

We have just returned from our 3rd visit to the Los Geranios Apartments and stayed in yet again another superb one bed apt (A107) courtesy of Mr Alan Dow.
On arrival check in could not be easier and we were straight into the apt. A welcome sealed bottle of cold water is as usual in the fridge to give the old thirst a quick quench before unpacking and out for some food and a few light ales !
The apt as usual was clean with all we needed in it for our weeks holiday. We were just missing a parasol base but a quick call to Nikki the admin/ cleaner and we had one put into our room for the next day. This really was required as by mid afternoon the pool area was baking hot and some welcome shade was required.
This year the pool bar was open and it was well received by us, The food was A1 with the wraps and the chicken curry being our favourite. A late breakfast was also had each day which again was top drawer. We have visited Tenerife many many times over the last 23 years and this complex is best by far in our opinion. It in all honesty takes some beating and anyone who chooses it for their holiday should not be disappointed.
On a sour note though after such a good week on Friday our flight was cancelled and we had to stay another night on the island, This was not a good thing but these things happen. We got shipped from the airport to a hotel 50 minutes north on the island, our coach had a tyre blowout on the way and when we did eventually get to our hotel it was not at all what we expected !
After a very bad nights sleep and an equally bad breakfast we were put on coaches back to the airport where our rescheduled flight was on time back to the UK.

Room Tip: A107 First Floor Apt overlooking the pool

Followed TA recommendations, we booked a week in June 2013 for Studio S135 from Alan Dow. His website has plenty of photos and information. As everyone has already mentioned, smooth transaction and great communication with Alan. He sent out the apartment keys over a month before our holiday and included a SAE jiffy bag for us to return the keys.

*Getting from airport to Los Geranios*

We had no hold luggage, so we took our two backpacks and jumped on bus 111 (around EUR3.60 each) just outside the arrivals hall. The half hourly bus was already waiting and it took around 25mins from airport to the Costa Adeje bus station – which is the last stop. We walked 10mins in the heat on the mainly flat main road which led us right to Los Geranios. Plenty of cafe/bars to stop in on the way. So door to door took around 40mins (including 5 mins wait time on the bus at the airport). Taxi would cost around EUR 24, 20mins transfer.

*Location*

Location is perfect with plentiful restaurants, bars and a huge supermarket within 3 mins walk. La Pinta sandy beach is only 5 mins stroll downhill via a small road.

*The apartment*

This used to be an aparthotel and the lady at reception checked us in efficiently with a smile. She seemed glad to hear me attempt pidgin Spanish and it was the last time I tried during our holiday... as I encountered more British people here than back in London!

The complex was clean and airy. S135 is on the first floor, half level up from the reception. Alan had sent me pictures of the actual apartment, so I knew what to expect –newly renovated clean studio apartment with a washing machine in the bathroom. Importantly there were 2x English 3 pin sockets! This helped as we only brought one Euro plug converter with us and we had phones/iPad, etc to charge.

Spacious sleeping area can be separated from the lounge space with a curtain. This was incredibly helpful during the day when we wanted daylight in the apartment, but wanted some privacy whilst changing into our swimsuits. We pushed the two single beds together to make a king size bed. Not the most romantic as on one occasion I nearly fell down the gap in the middle. This was remedied by using the two bedside tables as bookends to ensure the beds don't separate.

There were 2 ceiling fans (sleeping area & lounge) which kept us cool in the June heat. Previous occupants left washing up liquid and other cleaning products behind, which was welcome! Towels (functional, not fluffy) and 2x toilet rolls were provided.

We got all of the UK channels (BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4 & 5) plus a few other English speaking channels. The DVD player and TV were great. Whilst over 60 DVDs were provided in a drawer, we opted to plug in our phones either into the TV directly or through the DVD player to play movies we had already got on our phones (DivX Avi’s work perfectly with HD quality, don’t know about MP4s – we used the USB charging cable which came with our phones). Same with playing music & viewing photos from our phones or SD card.

Single balcony but big enough for 2 of us to sunbathe on. Strong sun starts at the pool area from 9-10am. Balcony gets the sun from midday till 7pm. Alan provides 2 PVC foam mats to sunbathe on the 2 sun lounger seats on the balcony. We would take them down to the pool area on the plastic sunloungers. Within the apartment, the last occupants have also left behind a lightweight parasol to screw down the sand for beach use (or Eur 5-7 each at shops).

Safe wasn't big enough to put an iPad in. But good for passports, phones and cash.

*Facilities in the complex*

Decent size freeform swimming pool with over 100 sunbeds, which were stacked and chained up at night. Unchained in the morning at around 9am by the cleaning ladies. This helped against the super early sunbed hogging brigade.

Free WiFi at apartment S83 (late check-out room) provided for Alan Dow’s guests only. Otherwise you’ll have to pay for WiFi if you want to use it within your room.

There is a poolside bar with a lovely couple running it. Incredible value for food and drink – similar price to eating outside. They provide breakfast, lunch & early dinner.

Directly outside the reception is a drinking water refilling station. 10 cents gets you 1 litre of cool drinking water. Be careful though as I had a 2 litre bottle and 1 litre bottle to refill, I put in 30cents in one go. Pressed the green button and there is no pause to change the bottles around. So to avoid wasting water, only put in as much money as you need to fill up each bottle!

*Things to do*

We came here for a week of relaxation and got just that. Spent some days mooching around the complex, sunbathe around pool in the morning, then on the balcony from noon onwards due to sun’s position and kids appearing at the pool in the afternoon.

On days where we fancied venturing out, we walked up to La Caleta via the tourist promenade by the seafront. We encountered more Europeans up this end and it took around 45mins to stroll very slowly up. There are plenty of places to stop by on the way, of particular interest is Harriet’s Tea Room (walk up the small lane when you see Burger King) where we had a lovely brunch.

Playa Las Americas & Los Cristianos were reached by walking south on the tourist promenade. We were able to reach Los Cristianos walking slowly down. The Veronicas strip was really quiet during the day - we enjoyed shopping at Benetton (super cheap here) and grabbing a quick McDonald’s to stifle our thirst/hunger.

Siam waterpark was great fun. Around 15mins walk in the sun (uphill at the end towards the waterpark)... or shuttle bus stop 3 mins flat walk up the road. Expensive at just over EUR 30 per adult, but worth it for the quality of the rides and cleanliness. No food or drink allowed (they check everyone’s bags thoroughly before admittance).

Coco cocktail bar (next to St Eugene’s bar opposite Los Geranios) serves shisha at EUR12 as well as beer/wine/cocktails. I didn’t enjoy the shisha as there wasn’t enough flavour (maybe low quality shisha and the bowl was very small).

*Would we go back to Los Geranios?*
Yes! This is the perfect place for couples and families. Not great for late teens/young adults looking for a clubbing holiday... as the proper clubs are at Playa Las Americas (20mins walk or a taxi ride away).

Room Tip: Studios on the first floor have strong sun from after midday to around 7pm. Higher floors will get s...

My husband and I have just returned from a smashing 2 week holiday at the Los Geranios. We booked with "alandowtenerife.co.uk" after a colleague recommended him to us. We opted for a 1 bedroom apartment and we were lucky enough to be able to get an apartment with a double balcony.
I have to congratulate Alan Dow as he goes the extra mile to try and make your stay as comfortable and as stress free as possible even having a late check out room so that you have somewhere to shower, change and check your flights before you leave (brilliant thank you).
We had everything that we needed in our apartment including a washing machine (should we have needed it).
I was there when the road repairs were being done and I have to admit it was noisy but these things happen and it didn't deter from our fun.
We had a lovely time and I would strongly recommend Alan Dow to anybody and after experiencing Tenerife I am thinking of checking out the other complexes Alan is involved in.

Just returned from a 2 week stay at Los Geronios. We stayed in a studio apartment which we booked through "alandowtenerife.co.uk. The apartment was quite large and very clean with separate sleeping and sitting areas. This studio had everthing, flat screen TV with all the basic English channels, DVD player with about 70 dvds, books,a safe, fridge, washing machine, etc. The kitchen was small but adequate. All of this was included in the price.
The balcony was a good size with a table, chairs and sun loungers with cushions. There are views of the sea and mountains
Los Geronios is on a hill but we did not find this a problem. There is a lovely pool and sunbathing areas in the complex.
Los Geronios is situated by the San Eugenio shopping centre and is within easy walking distance of Puerto Colon, Fanabe and Las Americas. A short bus ride will take you to Los Christianos.
There are many bars and restaurants in the immediate area all selling food at very reasonable prices and plenty of entertainment. What more could you ask for.
Did we enjoy it........YES
Will we go back.......MOST DEFINITELY

Room Tip: We were in a wing of the complex which gave us good sea views, although I don't think all apartm...
