“Great little hotel shame about the entertainment!”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

Stayed at the panorama for eleven nights in august as a family of eleven. Rooms are clean and tidy with fridge, toaster and hob, we stayed on a half board basis so never needed to use the facilities apart from the fridge. The food is good as a whole and always something for everyone, plenty of fresh salad, pasta and always a meat dish of some sort. The poolside bar does snacks through the day and are good value for money and cooked to order, you can get a toastie with chips and a full salad for less than 4euros. The pool side bar staff are very helpful and friendly inparticular Sandra and Antonio(a younger looking Larry Lamb).Entertainment during the day is non existant and the pool side bar on a night isnt very busy and quite expensive. The one thing that lets this lovely little hotel down is around the pool during the day,. The pool on a whole is lovely, very clean and maintained regularly, however if you have children it does not cater for them as the hotel rules are, no music, no balls, lilos, rubber rings, no diving, basically no no no! Overall panorama is a nice clean friendly little hotel, maybe if they relaxed and let kids basically do what they come to do on their holidays and have a little fun this hotel would be a little diamond of a hotel, wouls seriously consider going bk next year if their was a bit more to do during the day, not asking for much just a bit of music and a lilo!

Room Tip: Ask for pool view

On arriving at hotel we had to lug our bags down a flight of steps to the reception where we were greeted by a receptionist who was very curt. We were told that we had 15 minutes left to get our dinner, so downstairs we went to find they were starting to clear away so we rushed through our meal and hardly had time to finish a course before our plates were whisked away, we had a bottle of water with our meal and asked to pay for it before we left the restaurant. Back at reception we were issued with our key to room 026 and given directions as downstairs and to the left. So once again we had to get our luggage down 2 flights of stairs and along a tiled corridor.
On opening the room the heat hit us, there is no air conditioning just a ceiling fan and a floor standing fan which we were to discover over the weeks that they do not cool the room just blow the hot air about.
The room was spacious with two single beds, a couch and a kitchen department and a compact bathroom. The bathroom did not have a window or extractor fan, but adjustable slats in the wall opening in to the corridor. We were very conscious of people walking up and down the corridor while we were in the bathroom. Tiles were cracked around the bath taps and look discoloured. The cleaning staff were noisy along the corridor first thing in the morning and the bed was straightened now and again but not changed although the towels were changed frequently. There were no shelves in the bathroom to put any cosmetic bags or any hooks to hang clothes on.
The terrace outside our room was not very private and our room was right next to the outside bar and music area, each night we were subject to various local artists singing to entertain us whether we wanted it or not, then the nightly procedure of shutting the bar down and locking up which went on till midnight some nights. Even the corridor round was noisy with people coming in all hours of the night.
We went half board and wish we had not bothered as the food was very repetitive watery or fatty, tasteless and cold, the waiting staff were less than happy with one even shrugging their shoulders when asked something. In the end we decided to eat out and found some very nice restaurants.
The pool area was very nice and kept clean.
This is a true account of our stay at the Panorama Hotel.

Reviews seemed good so we went..where do i start? Love Tenerife have been many times over 15yrs but this was worse hotel we have stayed in..Location was very good and pool area was fine,we like Costa Adeje and will be going back but to a decent hotel next time..Room was dirty, floors only slightly brushd and never moped, we had to ask after 3rd day for a cleaner as we never saw one.then they just empy bins, made bed which was not changed in the week but did change towels. No air-con so room so hot people were sleeping on their terraces,no privacy when on yr terrace as walls between you are very low.We went half-board but only ate there twice as food was awful, if it wasn't dripping in water it would be fat and tasteless. Yes there was a variety but not to our tastes..I must add that on arrival we did ask could we pay for an upgrade but was abruptly told NO nothing available but we knew hotel wasn't full..I have been honest with my review this however was our 1st time in a 3*..and defo our last..

My girlfriend and I have just returned from Panorama Hotel after staying there for 7 nights. We both wish we stayed for 10 or 14!
We are both 21 and it was our first time to Tenerife. This hotel was a perfect place to stay as a couple as it has everything we needed. The TV also had 3 English channels so if the weather is bad at least you can watch English TV.

We stayed half board in room 32 which overlooked the pool area on the ground floor. We weren't too worried about the security of the room as we purchased a safe at the time we checked in. The patio doors locked and had a latch which only let the door open no further than a few inches which was perfect if you wanted to leave the door open overnight or when you are at the poolside.

The room was good for what we needed as we were never really in it apart from sleeping and getting changed. Beds were comfy and the room was cleaned every day (bar one) and all towels were replaced and loo rolls replaced etc. The fridge and freezer were good and the little kitchenette had a toaster, a hob, and all pans and cutlery you would need.

The pool area was spot on! Never too busy to get a couple of sunbeds and I was told by reception the hotel was full!
The sunbeds themselves were free to use but if you wanted a mattress for your sunbed it was 1.50 euro each then another 1.50 euro for a parasol.

If we were to return to this hotel (we definitely will) we probably will only stay B&B. Reason is, is that the buffet at night time wasn't excellent. It had a variety of salad and things but the buffet itself wasn't the greatest as it had little choice and didn't cater for everyone. However deserts and breakfast were perfect. A lot of choice and a lot of space to sit. Just a bit of a shame that many of the guests didn't dress up as such for meals as there was a lot of (german) guests that strolled in, in vests and shorts.
The poolside bar food was perfect too and it was really cheap. We paid no more than 14 euro for the two of us for a meal each and drinks.
Then the cocktails were 3 euro each at night and Dorada (the local beer which was lovely) was very cheap too.

The entertainment was decent enough too. Different things each night which was good to just sit on the balcony and watch. Or sit at the pool bar of course.

Staff were very friendly and the lifeguard was funny and was always smiling and would speak to us each day.

The guests were mixed as I heard many different languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Russian and I'm sure I heard an American couple.

There wasn't too many kids either as I don't think the hotel recommends children stay as the balcony railings are very low down.

Quiet night sleep with no noise whatsoever.

I got speaking to a few British guests (who turns out are from close to where I live) and they have a private room owned in the hotel and have been coming for two weeks, every year for 10 years. I can't see why I blame them when the hotel is as good as it is.

The location is perfect too.. You can turn right outside the hotel and go down to Puerto Colon (the marina) and walk right along where you will find an array of restaurants and bars which are open till late. Or turn left and go onto the main road where you will find a huge shopping centre and loads of restaurants and bars up that way. Just be prepared to be asked every 3 steps to go to different places to eat and drink by the staff of said restaurants.

The only tiny niggle of the hotel was no aircon but honestly if I can manage in the middle of august with only a ceiling fan and a standing fan, anybody can!

I will definitely return to Panorama either next year of 2015 and would recommend it to anyone no matter what age!

Room Tip: If you can choose a room facing the ground floor facing the pool! We stayed in room 32 and it was pe...

Heard mixed reviews about the hotel proper, but we've been self-catering here the first fortnight in December for the last eight years or so and fully intend to continue doing so.
We take the same top floor apartment every year with panoramic views of La Gomera and the marina from our balcony, there's a supermarket at the top of the street, the esplanade at the bottom and a choice of eateries within minutes in either direction.
The airport is thirty minutes away at most and, once you know your way about, the airport bus is only a five or ten minute walk and very reasonably priced.
All in all, it's a bit of a no-brainer really .....

Room Tip: Unless you prefer to sit around the pool, pick one of the higher floors with views to La Gomera. Th...

just back from 2weeks stay must admit loved it again as we stayed here last year .
last year was self catering this year we decided to go half board food was great , (even tho my son is a really fussy eater as longs theres chips he will eat them which there was plenty of )
on arriving we received a card to show every day for brkfast and dinner but never noticed it had a stamp on it for free umbrella and padding for sun lounger which I thot was great . and no hassle for sunbeds plenty for everybody even if its late afternoon you can still get one without any problems
nice peaceful place away from all the young and lively( which is 10 in walk)
very close to beach
had a great holiday here , hope to be returning soon :)))

Room Tip: get pool view if you can or sea view
