“Lovely hotel; lovely time.”
Reviewed August 26, 2011

Taking into consideration other reviews on here I think peoples expectations are extremely high before they go and therefore feel unhappy at what they experience. For an all inclusive hotel we were expecting chaos, however much to our surprise the hotel is very relaxed and very pleasant. Staff on reception were very nice on check-in explaining the facilities and all-inc procedure. Free wi-fi in the reception too if you ask for the password details. Our son was ill one night during the early hours and staff were very helpful in explaining the options, we chose to visit the hospital in Las Americas who were excellent. Staff in the dining room and bar are polite and friendly if you make an effort; they may appear to come across rude, but if you watch you will notice that other guests forget thier manners and treat staff like dirt. They work hard and will look after you if you treat them with a little politeness....
The pool area is nice with plenty of beds and parasols, if you want one in a certain spot then you have to reserve one nothing new here - just pop down around 8.15am and you have first pick. The entertainment is pretty standard, and ok if your there for a week if you like a walk after dinner and a few drinks after then it wont bother you too much and its all off by midnight.
Plenty of hotels at this time of year, especially all-inc ones are absoultely crazy, however La Nina is not one of these.

We stayed at la nina for 2 weeks all inclusive, when we arrived the hotel looked very impressive with a beautifull lobby and a spiral staircase leading to the dining room. We checked in and went to our room which was a dissapointment, they were very basic nothing like what they show on the website, we had a view of a cash and carry. We had a fridge and aircon which was the main thing. The tv has only 2 english channels, which you expect in spain which wasnt a problem. The room got cleaned every day but the maid never changed our bedding which was appauling. The pool area is nice but you have to reserve your sunbeds and brollies very early in the morning or you wont get any where near the pool. The pool bar food is dissapointing it is all cooked at once and kept under lamps for 2 hours and it is the same every day. The dining room food is ok, the breakfasts and lunches are nice but the evening meals are poor, no veg served only at breakfast time which i didnt understand. The dining room is grubby. dirty plates and chairs and the staff are very rude. The entertainmant their is aimed at spanish people only, the staff make no effort to speak english and include english children. There is no evening entertainment apart from a parrot show, a spanish singer and someone with a snake, we went out every evening. I would only recommend this hotel if you can speak fluent spanish or you dont mind going out every day. The staff are extremely rude and their customer service skills very poor unless you are spanish. Costa adeje is very nice and it hasnt put me off returning but i will not be returning to la nina.

Really enjoyed our week at Be Live La Nina, would definitely stay again.

The service was very good, the room was nice and the hotel is situated very well between the shops and beach.

Food was delicious (and you get lots to pick from) especially the Mexican themed night.

We stayed for 1 week all inclusive in August 2011. We arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning and was greeted by a friendly night receptionist who advised us that they had provided food and water for us on our arrival.
The hotel is in an excellent location and only a 3 minute walk to the beach.
The maid service is excellent and our room was cleaned every day to a satisfactory standard.
The food in the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. If you travel with children you may struggle to vary their meals especially if you have fussy eaters. There is a lack of variety and they seem to go for the 'cheap' option i.e no chicken breast, no fresh quality fish like tuna or salmon etc.... Instead you get the poor quality chicken bits and if you want fish then it's dogfish!
The restaurant staff need to learn how to smile occasionally. You almost feel uncomfortable eating your food there, and they can't wait to get rid of you!
As for the all inclusive package..... Well, I feel that the hotel management have not grasped the general concept. At evening meal time you are not allowed to fill up your own drinks! Instead you get a clearly disgruntled member of the restaurant staff throwing drinks at you after 'lining up' for what seems like an eternity! Why they don't do table service like I every other AI hotel I do not know.
As guests you are also not allowed bottles of water in the day. You can have them at night but only to take to your room. So if you wanted to go to the beach in the day and take bottles of water with you then you had to, rather unhygienically, fill up the water bottles from the night before at the water dispenser, which is the kind you usually associate with office buildings!
All in all this is an above average hotel in an excellent
location but is let down by rude restaurant staff and it's inability to use common sense with it's all inclusive package.

The service at this hotel was good, the room was comfortable. This hotel is in a great location and there is plenty to do with the kids. I stayed with my husband and 7 year old son and we loved it here. The food was nice but there could be more choice for children in the restaurant, we could always find something. We could nearly always get a sunbed round the pool which is a first for us which was great. The children's entertainment was okay, but my little boy found it hard sometimes because there is a lot of different languages and not many English children for him to play with but he still had fun. The ladies who do the kids club are brilliant and were always trying to include him in what they were doing. Overall we had a great holiday and would definately go back.

i would estimate the nationality of the guests 40% german, 40% spanish with a few italians, polish and english.I found the food was aimed strictly for the germans and i struggled to mustre the enthusiasm to venture to the restaurant by the end of the week and ended up eating breakfast out most mornings, although the hotel did a mexican food night which was excellent. The hotel itself is well mantained and staff very helpfull. The entertainment was poor, partly because of the German audience who seem to have no enthusiasm for anything, which left me feeling sorry for the performers. Overall i am not upset but things could have been better, the location is perfect, 5 minutes to the beach. Had a few more english been there i am sure the place would have been more welcoming, we did feel a little out of place.
