we booked through very cheap holidays via ice lolly.com. we arrived from glasgow at 23.00 and got to hotel at 00.30, reception very clean we dumped our cases in room 301 blue and were offered cold buffet. the room was enough for us, in that it did what we wanted bed (although wife suffered with a bad back and restless nights), shower and a balcony two infact, our room had the older decor but other rooms were being modernised, the food was repetitive but so what, ive stayed in four star hotels that do the same as others have stated the drinks were small but most ive stopped in do this so not a big problem, we didnt have a kettle for two days so just used a pan and bottled water then one appeared, never used the night time entertainments, due to time of year there plenty of sun loungers plus we had the sun on our balcony all day anyways,on our last day was the big let down cause our bands were cut off at 12.pm and our us bus picked us up at 20.25 so no dinner or tea,, others had complained and gotten one meal so we did as well, and then at airport there was a two hour delay but others were diverted to manchester then bussed to glasgow.

over all i couldnt fault the hotel apart from no coffee or tea with meals except at breackfast but that wouldnt stop me going back, 99% of the staff always had a smile

would i go back,, yes i would, but not this week as bad weather is forecast
colin and sonia yeoman, silloth, cumbria,,, 19th -26 oct

Room Tip: 301 blue, got the sun all day,

Arrived home today after a week in Playa Olid Appts. Good freshly cooked food, clean apartments ,with a free upgrade to one bed apt., choice of quiet or lively pools and very helpful staff, who could ask for more? Take a little fan to plug in at your bedside to cool you down, the nighttime temp was in the 20's most nights. Get a late room if your flight is a very late one, we paid 60 euros for three adults for a late room plus all inclusive till we left at 11 pm. No faults with the hotel but WARNING ! Do not use the ticket shop , 5 Star Excursions, three down from the hotel. They will take your money and sell you a fake ticket ! We paid 96 euros for admission into Siam Park and when we got there, we were mortified to be turned away and told out tickets were fake! We got a taxi straight back to the shop and demanded our money back, we had to threaten them with the police and stage a sit in until our money was returned. They tried every trick in the book to avoid giving it back but they had messed with the wrong family, never try to take a Scotsmans money under false pretences ! Apparently we were not the only ones, how they get away withit I'll never know. They were there the next day, bold as brass! Siam park, although pricey, was lovely, apart from the bitter taste left on our mouths! Costa adeje is lovely and we will return, older and wiser next time !

Room Tip: Pool view, high floor of you can handle the stairs, not all rooms have direct lift access. Take a fan, no air con.

We recently spent a week in a one bedroomed apartment which was very clean and modern, however this overlooked a car park and was very close to the motorway so there was the constant roar of traffic to contend with. The kitchen had no utensils whatsoever, not even a sharp knife to cut bread or peel fruit, so it was impossible to make any sort of a meal. The bathroom was small but had a large walk in shower enclosure with an excellent shower, and good hairdryer. Small things make a difference and the lack of a hook or anywhere at all to hang clothes or a bathrobe was annoying. There were no chairs in the bedroom and no clock. The bed however was large and extremely comfortable. The lack of air conditioning was a major problem. The restaurant looked just like a canteen and we only had one meal there, a buffet, which looked very unappetising and didn't taste a lot better. Maybe we hit a bad time! The staff seemed very helpful and friendly.

just returned after a week all inclusive stay and have to admit was pleasantly surprised. Had a very modern clean appartment overlooking what is described as the quiet pool. Staff all very nice and mostly appeared happy to be at work. Food was fresh and plentiful though lunchtimes was not same standard as breakfast and evening meal. Overall hotel seemed clean though some areas still waiting to be refurbished. Entertainment, being honest was not the greatest but bearable. Different cultures mixed well, all residents appeared friendly enough. Slight gripe though was the small plastic cups drinks were served at the bar, argh so frustrating as you were no sooner sitting down when you were up again, Annoying though if you were s/c you were giving a larger cup....equity in customer service there, not. However this was a lovely hotel which in turn resulted in good family holiday. In the resort itself plenty of pubs/restaurants with entertainment to fulfill any evening................book it

Room Tip: green area, though no air conditon

Stayed here in Aug very hot , unfortunately no air con , we bought a fan for the 2 weeks cheaper than hireing 1. The reception and bar area is very modern and nicely decorated always very clean. There are 2 main pools 1 quiet and 1 with music and games going on, there could be a few more sun umbrellas around pools. The rooms are a lovely size with kitchen facilities ,some rooms have been refurbished ours hadnt but it was still great and very clean . Pool bar serving fresh food and snacks, evening entertainment was the usual parrot show and odd music night. Restaurant was modern and spotless and the staff were brilliant nothing too much trouble, the food was great always warm and a good variety , its not easy to serve 3 meals a day and have good choice but we couldnt fault it. Fresh pizzas, steak and different meats always cooked fresh always a choice of fish, food. restocked very quickly. I would definatelly rate this 4 star if it had air con, but we would stay here again , Brill

Room Tip: Rooms over looking pool seem to be quieter.
