This was our second trip to this hotel, fantastic hotel and great service.
The standard of food is not very good and needs to be addressed because this has put us off returning.Food cooked in front of you is fine but the hot food on display is poor.
Coffee at breakfast is dreadful,if the management read these reviews then go and taste the coffee.Get some Lavazza and train staff to make coffee.coffee at the bar is dreadful as well.
i Cant fault the rest of the hotel though.

Our 3rd time at this hotel. The staff are friendly, rooms and facilities are very good. It is excellent value, however the food is not good and it's a case of putting together a mish mash and making do. It certainly is not 4 or 5 star food! We stayed on half board basis so tended to swap dinner for lunch and eat out at night in either La Calleta or adeje village. We have stayed in numerous 4 and 5 star hotels in Europe and although the food is genuinely very average the hotel itself is worth a stay

Stayed at the Adeje Palace for a week, been to Tenerife many times so I know the hotels well. Good value for money, excellent location, good service and immaculately clean. Staff in the dining room work very hard especially the staff cooking the omlettes and fried eggs where there was always a demand. Food varied always something for everyone as there was lots of choice. As it was the week prior to Christmas the hotel decorations were fabulous and gave a real Christmas spirit.

l cannot understand the negative comments about this hotel. Just had a week at the Adeje Gran Hotel. Room as requested low level with pool view - perfect. The staff and management were excellent. We have stayed here twice now and have always been very well looked after. The hotel/rooms are kept emaculate and towels are changed every other day. Finding a table in the dinning room has never been an issue and none of the food has ever run out ? The pool area is kept very clean and not allowing to leave towels unattended on the sun loungers is an excellent idea. All in all an excellent hotel - well done ADEJE GRAN.

This was our second stay at the Costa Adeje Gran. The hotel has since gone all inclusive, but we selected half board. The food has improved since our previous stay (unfortunately the same can't be said for the coffee at breakfast), but the wine prices in the restaurant have increased considerably. The rooms are looking a little tired, but our main gripe was the most uncomfortable mattress and we did notice someone on our floor having two new mattresses delivered to their room - perhaps this is something the hotel should look at.

Overall a good stay, but don't expect 5 star treatment or you will be disappointed.

The taxi from the airport was €25 and took 20 minutes or so. We had an initial niggle with the room, due to lack of communication from the agent, but this was sorted by the helpful reception staff.

Our room was of a good size and like most others had an internal door which reduced the noise in the bedroom from the corridor at night.

With the comments from this website in mind, we opted for Half Board which allowed us the chance to use the good choice of local restaurants for lunch - but actually we found the hotel poolside food was fine and a lot cheaper.

In general terms the food in the restaurant was excellent and had marvellous variation. Due to the snow problems we stayed there for more than the week we had booked and there were different options each night. Only once was the meat not that good - lamb chops that were a bit chewy - but easily discarded and opted for the duck instead. There were invariably 3/4 main dishes each night with a full range of puddings, cheeses, fruit etc.

The breakfasts were as good but as reported previously the juices were watery and coffee was poor. But there is a Nestles machine in both dining rooms and the expresso option, plus the milk from the rhs produced a good coffee.

Whilst we were there the entertainment was far better than we expected - there was generally a main act plus a singer. The Beatles tribute band were probably the best - they really had people letting their hair down. The Eagles tribute band were also excellent and surprisingly we also enjoyed the magician, who was the top of his trade. There were a few lightweight animal acts that we didn't particularly enjoy - but it was still a pleasant environment to sit and have a drink.

Like others we found the rooftop area good for getting away from the hubbub and never had a problem in finding sun loungers. The pool there was too cold to use, but pleasant to read beside. The ground floor pool was heated to about 25C, just warm enough to use and we were lucky with superb weather. On one morning at 08.00 the air temperature was 31C - apparently the wind was blowing from the Sahara direction.

The staff deserve a special mention as they were superb and really tried to do their best for their guests. A lady called Ana on reception went out of her way to assist us with our return flight problems due to the adverse weather.

I believe a 5 mark is fair as it really is excellent value for money. But I have to say the Riu Palace on the playa del Duque beach is better if you're happy to pay 50% more.

5 star reception area then at best 4 star, hotel needs a refurb, food basic not very unimaginative, all the normal pool rules no balls /air beds etc with no one to enforce them at times it was like a English beach in august, security was non existent, staff excellent.

I would only recommend this hotel if you can get a cheap deal don't pay full price.
