Excellent overall all inclusive. You might want to go out for a change. If you are going for more than a week make the 2nd week half board.temporary hiccup with the pool but enjoy the naturist area with the terrace pool! The market days across the road on thurs/ Saturdays is worth it. Have the fresh cane juice and buy a pan pipe for your lungs!

Just back from a week at the Gran, as other reviewers have said the hotel is looking tired ( & the pool still not repaired). Rooms OK & kept very clean - as was the whole hotel - our big disappointment was the food. Very limited choice, bland & not very good quality. Also a lot of queuing involved whatever time you went, never had to queue for salad before!! Not enough food islands for the volume of guests I believe. We don't feel inclined to return to this hotel but will certainly return to the Costa Adeje as it is a lovely area.

Room Tip: High floor with sea view we were in 493 ( side sea view) which was in shade in the afternoon & a...

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your time.
Please accept our deepest apologies for the inconveniences you encountered with our repairing pool during your resent stay with us. The works took more times than we would've expected.
We are so sorry about the peak hours which have supposed to you another problem.
We will continue to work carefully to introduce all necessary improvements to benefit an ever better service if possible.

Kind regards,

Just got back from our 3rd girls holiday at the Adeje, everything was great from check in to check out as usual and we met up with the same group of Irish ladies who had been there last year which was lovely, and several other new groups of ladies on hen nights.
This year the hotel has introduced an 8€ person per night supplement for a pool/sea view room due to demand, so unfortunatley there were none left when we arrived. Our rooms 441/442 were on the side where the road is, and only got the sun at tea time but this was ok as we only went back to room at this time so got last bit of sunshine and the wonderful sunsets. There was noise from the road from about 7 in the morning and an air con unit on the outside wall, as ours was the last room in the block, but for 4 days it was not a problem, any longer of a stay and we would have asked to be moved. The room was kept spotless as usual by our maid, they work so hard and the 2nd change of towels at night is great as were the 2 bottles of Cava, as it was our birthdays.
The food as always is fantastic, from omelettes for breakfast to fish and salad for lunch and the wonderful fresh pasta station at night, the waiters and chefs work like mad to make sure all is right and they also deserve a big pat on the back and a "gracias" from us customers.
This year they had a couple more outside acts to entertain us after dinner, Sweet Sensation and Robbie Williams tribute act as well as the usual 3 Tennors and in house singers all excellent to listen to whilst we washed down the delicious cocktails and wine always served with a smile and well worth a small tip now and then.
One pool was being repaired, but we hardly noticed it, and the other heated pool was fully open, there is also the roof top pool which now has a bar open saving the 6 floor journey down to the lower bar. Yes there is peeling paint in areas but they are constantly doing repairs and do you really go on holiday to examine paintwork etc, I know I don't, just relax and enjoy all the great things about the Hotel.
We always go for a walk after breakfast to either, El Duque or La Calletta to the right down the hill or to Fanabe and Toriviscas and Americas to the left down the hill, great for burning of all those calories. The buses or taxis run from outside the Hotel to all these places and are reasonable in price, we paid 8€ to Americas in a 5 seater as we were going "shopping". The market opposite the hotel on Thursdays and Saturdays is always worth a visit too.
All the staff are to be commended for their hard work and helpful attitudes towards us guests and as I have already said a "gracias" goes a long way.
I am going again in May with hubby for 11 days and wanted a pool view and was willing to pay the extra, but none left again, so Ana showed me other rooms with good views, which was so kind of her, and made a note of the 1 I liked, with a view to upgrading to a pool view if 1 became available, they definitley go the extra mile.
We 5 ladies will be back next March for sure.
Thanks again Adeje Gran for a wonderful holiday, and the weather was glorious too, what more could you ask for just go and see for yourselves.

Room Tip: Rooms with pool view now with 8€ per person per day supplement.

Just come back from a really enjoyable break in this lovely Hotel - not in my view a 5 Star but a very good 4 Star plus. We had a sea view front room with an excellent view of the pool areas and the sea.

The staff were all local and seemed to enjoy providing a high quality service with a smile - without exception. The food was buffet style but really well presented and of a high quality - the food was never the same each day and the breakfasts in particular were excellent.

The pool area was well managed and it was great to see a Hotel actually removing towels from beds that should not have been reserved. The hotel is located ideally for an evening stroll - -you can turn left for busy and right for restful - very nice either way.

Would recommend this Hotel without hesitation.

Spacious but dated needing refurb.
Quiet area but handy for buses and local market.
Hotel staff very pleasant, other than waiting staff in bar area, totally disorganised, waited ages for drink especially when entertainment on.
Food not brill, definitely not 5 star standard!
Pools nice, plenty of sunbeds which was down to the pool attendants who obviously enjoyed going around taking towels from saved sunbeds and confiscating them.
Lovely room, very comfy beds.
Cleanliness overall good but bed covers filthy around the edges where the mops have been used on floors.
Steep hill down to the local beach.
Not many bars nearby to choose from.

Dear Sirs,

Thank you very much for your time and all your comments.
We would like to inform you that we are currently redecorating all our double rooms, we trust that all will be finished in mid- April. Also from today we are introducing new sun loungers in all our pools and in 4 -5 days will be fully equipped.
Thanks also for the comments relating to our bar. For sure it will be immediately shared with our team of bars to take the appropriate measures and reduce any waiting time as much as we can.
Regarding to our policy of not reserving sunbeds, we want to clarify that yes we apply is because most of our clients feel it is good to keep this control for correct use of those sunbeds.
At the beginning of our career was something we did not do, but with the passage of time and thanks to the feed back from our guests in general we decided to introduce a few years ago, giving positive results and liked by a majority part of our guests that we applaud and we supports in exercising this control.

We will also continue working and introducing few improvements deemed appropriate in each and every one of our varied menu to reach as many guests as possible.

Now we have also revised the housekeeper has detected those problems regarding dirt on the edge of the covers, improving attention to these details, but neglected to nothing without a doubt, will be improved.

Once again thank you for your attention. We certainly look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

Kind regards,

I stopped in this hotel in March 2014 having stayed here in March 2013 also. The hotel is lovely, with great layout, food and staff. The hotel is walking distance to the beach and to the pubs and restaurants which is handy. I stayed on a half board basis (breakfast and evening meal) so after a few days I did find the food a bit repetitive although it was great quality with a range of freshly prepared founds available each day. There was a lot of choice though less so for vegetarians I felt. The entertainment in the evenings was a bit hit and miss and was more suited to older guests and at this time of year, the average age of guests was around 60 years. However the happy hour from 11pm was well worth staying in for with a fabulous range of cocktails and drinks and excellent service from the staff. The nudist areas on the roof next to the roof pool were fun too! There are all the usual facilities you'd expect at a four star hotel such as spa, mini golf, table tennis etc.The guy delivering the water aerobics deserves a special mention as his energy was contagious! The gym has seen better days and all equipment could do with an upgrade.
