Just come back from a really enjoyable break in this lovely Hotel - not in my view a 5 Star but a very good 4 Star plus. We had a sea view front room with an excellent view of the pool areas and the sea.

The staff were all local and seemed to enjoy providing a high quality service with a smile - without exception. The food was buffet style but really well presented and of a high quality - the food was never the same each day and the breakfasts in particular were excellent.

The pool area was well managed and it was great to see a Hotel actually removing towels from beds that should not have been reserved. The hotel is located ideally for an evening stroll - -you can turn left for busy and right for restful - very nice either way.

Would recommend this Hotel without hesitation.

Spacious but dated needing refurb.
Quiet area but handy for buses and local market.
Hotel staff very pleasant, other than waiting staff in bar area, totally disorganised, waited ages for drink especially when entertainment on.
Food not brill, definitely not 5 star standard!
Pools nice, plenty of sunbeds which was down to the pool attendants who obviously enjoyed going around taking towels from saved sunbeds and confiscating them.
Lovely room, very comfy beds.
Cleanliness overall good but bed covers filthy around the edges where the mops have been used on floors.
Steep hill down to the local beach.
Not many bars nearby to choose from.

Dear Sirs,

Thank you very much for your time and all your comments.
We would like to inform you that we are currently redecorating all our double rooms, we trust that all will be finished in mid- April. Also from today we are introducing new sun loungers in all our pools and in 4 -5 days will be fully equipped.
Thanks also for the comments relating to our bar. For sure it will be immediately shared with our team of bars to take the appropriate measures and reduce any waiting time as much as we can.
Regarding to our policy of not reserving sunbeds, we want to clarify that yes we apply is because most of our clients feel it is good to keep this control for correct use of those sunbeds.
At the beginning of our career was something we did not do, but with the passage of time and thanks to the feed back from our guests in general we decided to introduce a few years ago, giving positive results and liked by a majority part of our guests that we applaud and we supports in exercising this control.

We will also continue working and introducing few improvements deemed appropriate in each and every one of our varied menu to reach as many guests as possible.

Now we have also revised the housekeeper has detected those problems regarding dirt on the edge of the covers, improving attention to these details, but neglected to nothing without a doubt, will be improved.

Once again thank you for your attention. We certainly look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

Kind regards,

I stopped in this hotel in March 2014 having stayed here in March 2013 also. The hotel is lovely, with great layout, food and staff. The hotel is walking distance to the beach and to the pubs and restaurants which is handy. I stayed on a half board basis (breakfast and evening meal) so after a few days I did find the food a bit repetitive although it was great quality with a range of freshly prepared founds available each day. There was a lot of choice though less so for vegetarians I felt. The entertainment in the evenings was a bit hit and miss and was more suited to older guests and at this time of year, the average age of guests was around 60 years. However the happy hour from 11pm was well worth staying in for with a fabulous range of cocktails and drinks and excellent service from the staff. The nudist areas on the roof next to the roof pool were fun too! There are all the usual facilities you'd expect at a four star hotel such as spa, mini golf, table tennis etc.The guy delivering the water aerobics deserves a special mention as his energy was contagious! The gym has seen better days and all equipment could do with an upgrade.

Just returned from a 11 day break at this hotel. To begin;
Check in experience was efficient, glass of bubbly a nice touch.

The rooms are very pleasant, roomy. The beds are very comfortable. Nice sitting area in the room. Bathroom also very good, with separate toilet area. Whilst we were staying the room had a change of decor which was a nice upgrade

.The main restaurant was always very busy and I would agree with previous reviewers who suggested that two sittings may go some way to improving the somewhat chaotic mealtimes. However the food was of a good variety and standard. Drinks service could be a little slow at times and the drinks quite expensive. The restaurant staff were all very pleasant and hard working at all times and there was always a manager available to supervise service.

The pool area were pleasant, we tended to use the quieter roof top area. The main pool was mainly for families, and could be noisy at times. However the pools were very well tended and the absence of the pool being renovated was negligible.

The main bar resembled a large cafeteria, there was an are on the floor above, but the bar was not in use. Many of the guests we spoke to also felt, like us, that they would have preferred to have a smaller, more intimate bar area to allow guests the opportunity to have a drink and a chat with fellow guests.

The gym was of an average standard. The opening times were not very convenient, not opening until 10 am. It would have been preferable to open at 8.00 am to allow guests to have an early workout before the heat of the day kicked in. The range of equipment was ok for a hotel. Didn't use the spa facilities so can't comment.

The entertainment was of a good standard and variety, with the Il Divo tribute being the most memorable.

The quality of the drinks was questionable, we felt that our drinks were definitely watered down. As we were there on a half board basis we tended to use the El Duque bar adjacent to the hotel. instead, as did many of the hotel's guests. The reason we chose to have a half board basis, rather than all inclusive, was because previous experience had meant that we would rather pay separately for our drinks than have the usual sub-standard all inclusive fare. Unfortunately this wasn't the case at this hotel.

Having stayed in numerous five star hotels we feel that this hotel is a definite four star. There is only 1 A La Carte restaurant at the hotel, the rooms, although pleasant lack touches such as a pillow menu, coffee and tea making facilities, upmarket toiletries. Also although there was a very large British contingent at the hotel the only TV channels available were the news channels. However the hotel provided numerous channels for German, French and Spanish guests. In addition, at other five star hotels there is usually waiter service st the pool areas.

Overall, a good four star hotel, but definite room for improvement if they want to earn a definite 5 star hotel

First time in Tenerife. We stayed B & B and as previous reviews have stated very busy at breakfast time. You need to get a routine order tea/coffee first my husband went and got the fruit juice whilst I made the toast then we could go get our cooked breakfast and sit eat together. Hotel are revamping the rooms and whilst we were there we had new curtains hung new breadspread cushions look lovely better so much fresher looking. We had a side room with view's of the mountain and also sea view. Entertain was quite good something different every night. We had a lovely holiday weather was a bit overcast some days but generally good.

First time in Tenerife. Stayed B&B and enjoyed it. Clean, comfortable, friendly with helpful staff, and well located - just ten/fifteen minutes to the distinctly different beaches/bars/restaurant of Fanabe one way and Duque the other, and there are shops close by. Taxis and buses as well. For a hotel of its size, there was seldom a feeling of it being over busy, except at breakfast from 8.30, when the staff have to work non-stop to keep everything moving (breakfast by 8 to avoid). Never had any problem getting a sun lounger when wanted (they move things left unattended, in the morning at least) and the pool bar served a decent lunch. When the wind gets up the sun shades have to come down - it can be a bit of a wind tunnel. The cracks are beginning to show: you can see them in the walls and we were overlooking swimming pool repairs throughout our stay (which, in fairness, were being done quite discreetly). We had a side sea view from our room and we got the late afternoon sun. Room choice may be important. Ours was fine, with a nice sized bathroom, though a few cracks and chips were in evidence here too - worthy of comment not complaint. The 5* hotels fronting the Duque promenade are distinctly more swish, but then so are their prices. We thought we got a good deal here. Never ate in the restaurants so can't comment on buffets/dinners but for the 22E charged you'll eat well, with plenty of choice, elsewhere. A 45 minute mostly very pleasant promenade walk gets you to La Caneta where there are some good fish restaurants - the one at the end of the bay served us some freshly caught cherne which was excellent and well priced. If looking for a quick and decent doorstep meal, try the Italian restaurant at the end of the line of shops next to the hotel (much better than it looks). If you fancy a pair of 1000 Euro Cartier sunspecs, they have them at the Plaza del Duque, just down the hill.

Room Tip: Overlooking pools and/or sea for outlook/sun/warmth.
