Stayed here a few weeks ago and it was a great experience. They are a fantastic hotel with lots of great facilities. You can see why they are a 5* hotel.

The reception staff deserve a special mention.. they bend over backwards to help you out with your questions/problems. Dare I say they are the best set of reception staff I have every come across..

Restaurant serves over 70+ freshly cooked dishes everyday. They have something for everything. You get freshly cooked eggs in the morning, Freshly cooked meat at lunch (cooked right in front of you) and dinner has a great selection of freshly grilled meat and fish. The range is so big that meat eaters are happy but vegetarians would be happy with the choices too. Staff in the restaurant, are so efficient and work so hard. Can't really ask for more.

This hotel rooms has everything you could want. Only little problem is that the free WiFi is quite slow. But is still perfect for occasional Facebook, Twitter and checking emails. Not good enough for watching YouTube videos.

Location is really good, center of town. You can walk to the beach, should take you 10 minutes. If you really want to see the island then hire a car. It costs around 20-30 euros a day. Recommend driving up to the Mt.Teida and Masca. Just make sure you are comfortable driving on the wrong side of the road.

Overall, this is a fantastic family-oriented hotel!

Hope this review is helpful.

This hotel is one of the most exclusive areas on the island but it is definitely not worthy of its 5 star rating. Anyone who has written a review saying that this is a 5 star hotel clearly hasnt been to a proper 5 star hotel!!

The reason it has its 5 star status is for the location (Playa Del Duque) and not anything else.

Credit where its due, the reception is very well decorated with a water feature, marble flooring wrought iron chairs and glass tables etc which gives it a nice ambiance but the rest of the hotel is a 4 star standard.

The loungers by the swimming pool are shabby and you find yourself fighting for an umbrella. It is also very cramped as there is only one sunny spot early morning (everywhere else gets the sun about 10/10.30) so you find that some days people are practically sitting on top of each other for the early morning sun.

The all inclusive food leaves a lot to be desired. I have stayed at a 4 star all inclusive resort in the Caribbean and the all inclusive buffets have been much better than this.

Entertainment is much of a muchness - All the hotels seem to just rotate their entertainment "acts".

The staff are extremely friendly, especially those at the staff at the pool bar.

Other hotels in the area with a 4 star rating (Iberostar Anthelia/Bahia Princess) are on par if not better, than this hotel for its tidiness and decoration.

Just returned from 11 night stay all inclusive, this hotel should be down graded to a 4*. Pool area not cleaned on a daily basis, pool was re lined instead of being re tiled n what a bad job that was scum marks round the edge. Food not good at all the meat was cooked in front of u but was so dry didnt taste of anything. Having booked all inclusive u couldn't even have a plate of chips round the pool bar without having to pay for them. Drinks in the bar of an evening only 3 cocktails out of about 20 where in the deal otherwise u had to pay an extra 6 euros. Sorry would not recommend this hotel

i have just come back from this hotel with my family. We stayed here for two weeks. Me, my partner, 2 children, mum and grandad. I have never been somewhere so shameful. The food was the usual 3 star reheated breakfast lunch and tea time food. We had an incident where my 23 month old daughter was playing in the play area in the restaraunt. We were sat watching her on the table in front of the play area. She had gone behind the rocking horse, so as i got up to go and get her she had her hands in a plate of stale chocolate cake that had not been cleared up since lunchtime. My daughter is allergic to dairy products so this sent a surge of panic over us.I ran up to the room to get her medication and had given it to her in time for her not getting an allergic reaction. We of course were very angry and complained to staff and made an appointment to see the hotel manager. At this meeting we were accused of lying and that it was impossible that the cake had been there since lunchtime. My partner checked the cakes that were being served at the evening meal and this cake was not on the menu. We requested to see the lunch menu and evening menu for that week but the hotel manager refused to show us. We just went round in circles. We then got offered free meals in the a la carte for the rest of our holiday which we accepted as the rep and manager were not prepared to do anything more for us. We then go for a meal in the a la carte and find the food so terrible we leave to eat out in a different restaraunt. We were full board at the hotel we ended up eating out most nights. The prices for drinks are ridiculous. 4.50 euros for one pint of guinness. 2.10 euros for a small bottle of water the list goes on.....There was cracked tiles all around the pool area, cups and cigarette ends left all around the pool area from the day before. The sunbeds were filthy and had bird poo on them. I could go on and on. I have stayed all over the world and this hotel was by far the worst. I payed over 7000 pounds for my family to have a nice holiday and i feel like i have been robbed of every penny. Please dont make the same mistake we did dont stay here!!

Dear Customers,

Sorry to hear that your perception about food offered in our Hotel has not been favorable. Nevertheless, we have to say that neither the vast majority of our customers and us, we think the same way. It is true that everything can be improved, and we will continue to work to make it happen.

In our main La Finca buffet we offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, providing our guests a varied buffet including themed dinners and children's buffet.
In turn, we comply and guarantee all measures established for the safety and food hygiene.

All our restaurants are fully inspected after each service. We deeply regret the incident and the fact that your daughter has found a piece of "chocolate financier" in the children's area; financier that it may have been left there by a neglect of any other child of the many who enjoy the area, especially for children that parents appreciate the most. At the time this happens we immediately offered medical care but it was not accepted.

We would also like to add that it is usual to receive customers requiring special diets, or special attention in terms of food and those needs do not mean a problem for us. As soon as we are informed we are at your entire disposal to cover with all warranties. Our guests, either at the time of making their booking or upon arrival to the Hotel they inform us and so we want it to remain. We encourage all our customers that they share with us their specific needs to fulfill them as normal and with total warranty. It was a shame that this time we were not informed about the needs or specific attention at the beginning of the stay.

Because of this incident we know about the allergy , offering on repeated occasions to prepare any specific menu for the enjoyment and peace of mind for the parents, but this offer was not accepted or it was not considered necessary .

It saddens us to know that all our attentions and other offers, which we do not consider to detail here , so that you and your family could still enjoy our facilities, were not either of your liking.

We consider both, on our part and on the part of the representative, who was also present to address the problems encountered, we have acted in a professional and correct way at all times.

Anyway, we thank the time you have dedicated to express your opinion. At the same time we confirm to carry on working to improve at any aspects of our Hotel.

With kind regards,

COSTA ADEJE GRAN Hotel

Just returned from 10 nights AI at Costa Adeje Gran Hotel. This was our 2nd visit and yet again did not disappoint. We stayed in a senior suite with our two daughters and had a fabulous view of the sea and pools. Room was spacious and clean with very comfortable beds. Food choice and quality was excellent - something for everyone. Don't understand how some people complain. We ate in the a la carte restaurant on a couple of occasions where the food and service was exceptional. Staff are all very friendly and helpful throughout the hotel and can't do enough for you. Evening entertainment was varied and generally of a good standard - an improvement from our last visit. One of the best things about this hotel is watching the staff lift towels and belongings from sunbeds which have been reserved before 10am and are unattended. No need to get up at stupid o'clock at this hotel to reserve a sunbed unlike many others we have visited! AI drinks are a good standard. Local wine, beer and some branded spirits with very generous measures! Animacion team on hand for those who want to get involved in some of the daily activities. The 'non-competitive' water basketball is a must but not for the faint hearted! Our only negative comment is the behaviour of a very small element of some UK guests who were unable to behave in a respectful manner to the hardworking staff and fellow guests - we were not the only guests to notice this. All in all, a great holiday in a wonderful hotel and we will be returning again in the near future.

Room Tip: A la carte restaurant included for AI guests when you book a Senior Suite. Corner suites are best.

Wow grand entrance certainly had jaw dropping impression of hotel. luxurious but boring with run of the mill service. rooms beautiful although air conditioning poor reported never fixed. rooftop pool lovely shame you have to go down 6 floors ti get refreshments. pool bar not in service. app not busy enough and runs at a loss! food certainly not 5 star boring same day to day food although if you are German or eastern European you Will be Caterrd for. one waiter in particular very rude interrupted me on two occasions whilst eating to sign fir drinks which i found very ill mannered. entertainment absolutely rubbish again if ure German or eastern European then just their sort if thing. Other things like no coffee tea facilities in rooms and bars don't open til after 10 so nowhere to get a coffee first thing. Hotel a bit out of way but local buses very good. All in all wouldst rate as 5 star more like 3 to 4 however surroundings i would rate as 5 star. We have stayed at bitacora in las Americas which is 4 star but everything about it was 4 star. wouldst stay at adeje gran again only because have staye in better.

have just returned from the costa adeje after spending our second visit there again A I and everything as good as last time with one exception.Far too many kids there and occupying the main pool with lilos, blow up armchairs, balls of all sizes and so it goes on. It was extremely hot last week, as it was in the uk, and people really wanted to have a quick dip but with difficulty. The food is still excellent, the waiters and waitresses work very hard and there is definetly no problem in finding something to eat no matter how fussy an eater you are. It is lovely to see peoples towels and belongings being removed when they try and save sunbeds, and I really think this is a policy that should be adapted in all hotels. Think this has dropped from 5 star to 41/2 because of the state of some of the beds and parasols, and also the food for AI clients in the pool bar is not good when you can eat anything in the main restaurant. Don't think we will be returning as there are many 5 star AI hotels now in the canaries to choose from

Room Tip: we paid for a side sea view room with pool view, railings instead of wall on the balcony and a love...
