“2nd visit can't wait for 3rd! Honest review!”
Reviewed May 17, 2013 via mobile

This was our second visit to this beautiful hotel, and we were not disappointed! There has been small changes since last year an all of them good! Entertainment has improved althought there was a Spanish party held on one night and, although the show part was good the rest seemed like just a night out for the Spanish dance school an nothin for the guests even though the animation team tried their hardest to involve guests. Food was again gorgeous as last year rooms immaculate an turn down service was a lovely touch!
I have to say my only only down side of my holiday with the hotel were some of the guests! One very rude old man shouted at a member of the animation team as she was in his way! A simple excuse me I'm sure would of done the trick the same old man constantly complained about the loudness of the music!
If you are looking for a bit of luxury an don't want to sell your liver in order to get it this hotel is for you! Both time I have been it was just me an my partner but next year we will be taking our family also we have recommended this hotel to lots of our friends who will also be coming with us!
I love the gran an couldn't imagine staying any where else in Tenerife, it's not just the beauty of the place but the staff, all very nice an cant do enough for you!
If you are down to earth people who want to relax an have fun this hotel is for you! With or with out kids it's suits everyone!
Looking forward to seeing you next year costa adaje gran hotel!! Simply fabulous!!! Xxxxwxxx

It was are first time at coste adeje gran we went at easter time. As soon as we walked into the hotel the entrance to the hotel was beautifull, the staff were amazing quick check in and the staff kindly made sure we had something to eat even though we didnt arrive while late. The rooms are spacious always clean, the food is superb a different theme every evening, the fresh pasta is excellent. The staff are amazing very helpfull especially on an evening when the entertainment is on they work really hard making cocktails and bringing them to your table. The pools are great plenty of sunbeds and clean fresh towels every day. The outside pool bar is excellent for food the costa adeje burger is great value for money.I cant fault this hotel it is superb we had the best holiday ever we will definately be returning in the future it definately deserves its 5 stars.

First time at this hotel having visited Costa Adeje 6 times in the last 3 years we thought we would try something different. Check in was efficient and with welcome drinks. Porter delivered our bags quickly to our room (and also got our TV to work as the aerial had been dislodged!). We had hired a car and unfortunately were not aware we needed to reserve a parking space in the underground car park. The Receptionist was slightly annoyed that we hadn't booked and said no spaces available "try out on the street!". Luckily the front of the hotel had some spaces so we parked there and left the car there for most of the week without any issue. We arrived in time for lunch and as we were on an All Inclusive package we proceeded downstairs to the restauant. What a fabulous choice! There was so much selection that it was difficult to choose. The answer is to try a bit of everything! This hotels also offers BB and HB so has a choice for everyone. Dinner choices in the restaurant were also very good and the pasta station was amazing! Unfortunately we didn't find it until near the end of our stay but then had plenty of it. Down to the pool area, plenty of sunbeds, 3 pools plus a rooftop pool on 6th floor (apparently with a nudist area?).Beware of the Towel Police before 10am. We were sat next to 2 beds with towels and bags etc on them. They were removed as the hotel has a strict rule that beds cannot be reserved before 10am. We saw this happen every morning so perhaps it should be made clearer at check in that this will happen (although there are posters in the lifts stating this). My husband went to reception to check that the rule only applied to before 10am however when he asked if wanted to leave his sunbed to go for a walk or lunch could he trust our towels and belongings would still be there when we got back and he was told no! Shame that this could be a spoiler for such a lovely hotel.
Entertainment at night was good. Some of it a bit cheesy but I won't spoil t
Location is good however it is 10 mins walk (downhill) to the beach and seafront (and 20mins back up the hill!). The hotel is on a bus route. There is a market every Sunday and Thursday on the car park opposite the hotel. Designer Shopping complex 5 minutes walk away and plenty of bars, supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the tennis courts which was the opposite side to the pool. Unless you sit...

Returning to a hotel you previously loved is a little daunting because you may be disappointed on a second visit. We were not and loved our stay as much as the first. The staff are so helpful and in my view go out of their way to assist. Food (We were on half board ) was good with a vast choice to cater for all. Rooms cleaned each day and the evening entertainment top quality. Perhaps a few more daytime activities could be added to the schedule. A tip I would give is to take a travel kettle if you like a brew as these are not included as standard in your room though can be purchased at reception

Room Tip: A pool view will also give you a view of the sea

Just start by saying this is a 4star hotel, nothing wrong with that,in fact a very good one,so dont expect too much for this money. What you do get is very good service, great value, spotless suroundings and spacious rooms.I expected the restaurant to be really manic, and yes it was pretty busy at times, but overall well run by a team of hard working staff, and no worse than any other large hotel we have been to.Food was good with a fair choice of meats and a bias towards shellfish, crab crayfish prawns and even lobster one night, not to my taste but heaven to fish lovers. When you struggled there was always the pasta section to turn to,two cooks turning out individual dishes with a waiting time of about 2 mins, very tasty indeed.Wine was included all inc and was ok although when asked for just a glass they would bring you a whole bottle and we found it hard to finish it,and it seemed a terrible waste(get some half bottles)Then down to the bar to take in some pretty decent entertainment with tribute bands six nights out seven. While we were there.Beatles, elton john and the 3 tenors were amongst the acts who impressed. There was never a problem finding a comfortable place to sit, so you didnt have to rush down after dinner like a few hotels i could mention.
The pool area had plenty of beds at any time of the day and although they were fairly close together people moved them where ever the sun was so not a real problem The removal of towels reserving beds was overall a good idea but on one occasion we sat down on two beds that obviously had had towels removed and about an hour later two irate germans demanded we get up off their beds. This is not the easiest of problems to sort out with a language difference.Where ever you sit ,you're close to a pool bar , one serving drinks only and the other drinks or food ,we never had a problem being served promptly or politely.
Reception very efficient and helpful .
It's situated in a lovely location, with attractive coastal walks in both directions, bus stop and twice weekly market opposite the hotel.A great beach down a very steep hill with usual high street shops on route Prada Gucci Rolex (ha ha) real top end shops impressive nether the less and to top it off quite a hike back up hill in the 28degree heat ,worth seeing once.
Lastly a very pleasent walk to the the harbour where we went whale watching on the Eden Catamaran, briliant trip, great fun crew, loads of pilot whales highlight of our holiday(two hours)highly recommended as is this hotel and resort

Room Tip: high pool view you will get the sun at some point during the day

Just back from a week at the Costa Adeje Gran Hotel Tenerife, lovely hotel but felt it wasn't 5 star! Very nice area, no tacky shops, bars or idiots! Lovely relaxing holiday ! Hotel was more for an older crowd, entertainment was enjoyed by the older generation but not my taste although singers etc were good at what they did ! We were bed and breakfast and they was everything you could possibly want! Hotel prices were more expensive but after all we were in a 5 star hotel ! Lovely places to eat around hotel mostly a la carte, there's bars and tacky shops bout 20 min walk! Costa adeje is very hilly, beautiful and expensive designer shops 5 mins away ! Taxi into las Americas was 7 euros, one way ! Lovely place would defo recommend trying it out! As I don't like going to the same place twice but may return in a few years time

Room Tip: We asked for. Low floor which we got, we over looked the crazy golf, not much people used it so was...

Arrived back yesterday after 9 days at this hotel with my daughter. We could not fault the hotel or the room it was spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and with a sea view. The staff were very helpful, friendly and extremely courteous. We stayed bed and breakfast, there was every type of food available and for such a large hotel, everything on the buffett always kept replenished. A couple of nights we had the evening buffet which again was faultless. The evening entertainment was also very good. The entrance to the hotel is very impressive and how anyone can fault this hotel is beyond me. We spoke with a few people who always return to this hotel as they always enjoy their stay each and every time. It is extremely good value for money. All the pools are good, but we did really like the rooftop pool. Great sun trap, really comfy sun beds and a great pool to cool off in. It was my birthday whilst I was there and I had a card and box of chocolates left in our room, courtesy of the hotel. I was also given cake and liquers at the bar in the evening. Little touches they don't have to do. Dress varies according to the individual. Very smart, through to smart casual. We had a late departure flight. We were able to store our luggage and return to have a shower before leaving for the airport. Would I return again? Absolutely, and I travelled from Queensland Australia to do this holiday with my daughter. A big thank you to all. Susie Andrews Whitsundays Australia

Room Tip: We requested a room with sea view. We were on the first floor overlooking the pools and with a sea...
