Fantastic hotel for the price we paid. Just arrived on Friday night on an all inclusive basis. Staff very helpful and the food and drinks which were included on AI basis were very good. Cava, beer, white, red wine, baillies and some brand named vodka etc. at lunch time, if you didn't eat in the restaurant there was a small area outside sectioned off for AI guests self service, burgers, cold meat, cheese etc but you will have to pay for toasties or hot dogs...2.20 euros. Rooftop pool very nice and quiet if you want to get away from all the main pools. Not too many children about in the hotel. Lovely big rooms. Big enough for me,my husband and 17 yr old boy. Just taking turns of the pull down bed which I found to be larger than in most hotels. No kettle in room but no problem as plenty of tea and coffee on AI which you could take up to the room at night. Plenty of spaces in the main foyer area if you just want to sit and play cards, read or just sit back on the lovely big chairs and couches all placed around the hotel.

Booked for water sports tomorrow. Paragliding, fly fishing and jet ski package for 100 euros for 2 at fanabe beach. A 10 min walk downhill to the beach with plenty of restaurants and pubs to choose from if you want a break from AI.

Ask for a seview room on the 5th floor by email before you come. Didn't disappoint Nd got exactly what we asked for.lovely view of the pools and sea from a fairly small balcony but no probs as we won't be spending much time there.

Only been here 2 days but I'm happy to try and answer any questions you may have while I'm here. Hope this helps.

Room Tip: Room 577 right in the middle of the hotel looking out to the pool and sea with only 1 floor up to th...

This was our first stay at this hotel and costa adeje it will not be our last. The hotel itself was superb, clean well laid out good facilities and great food. The bit I've missed out are the staff absolutely faultless could not do enougth for you even under real pressure especially around the bars they are an huge asset to the hotel.

It was good to see the the no reserving sunbed policy being implemented and quite amusing to see the staff clearing towels and bags each day for those who tried to abuse especially when they returned to the beds scratching their heads.

The only negatives are:

1. Having to pay for a safe when you are all inclusive
2. House wine is tolerable but just we found the same one selling at 1.19 euro less than a pound a btl however you can pay for good wine with 40% discount if staying all inclusive they could do better with the house option!!

These are minor complaints and would not put me off staying at this hotel again and should not put you off it's a great location and fantastic hotel.

We booked with jet2 holidays for the first time the flights where great and the general organisation spot on.

If you go you will enjoy.

Regards,
Mike B

Were in the middle of our stay at the Grand.

We have holidayed all over..from 1 star in Blackpool to 7 stars in Dubai but we have never returned to a hotel a second time.

We broke with this after staying at the Grand in 2010..fantastic..all 10s. So we were really looking forward to this break.

Disaster...its Jeremy Kyle auditions and I'm not joking. The now All Inclusive drive of the hotel has brough in a different type of client...unruley whinging kids, loud chavs ans wannabes.

The staff remain excellent but after 3 days we've already decided we won't be back.

Went for one week all inclusive as a party of 6 family members. Cost of holiday very reasonable. Initial impressions: not close to the sea, not located within the main tourist centre, vast reception, fast and efficient check in. Rooms large and comfortable, slept well, manual control of A/C in room. View from room on to side street from which some traffic noise at times.Communal areas in need of paint work and general update. Roof top pool area lovely with views to the sea: however no bar service, so had to go down 6 floors to the outdoor bar to bring drinks up for ourselves- very inconvenient. Restaurant- staff worked very hard and food quality and variety was excellent. Rather hot sitting in main restaurant, conservatory areas cooler and less frenetic.
Entertainment rather predictable- tribute bands mainly, not especially good. Bar service all based at ground floor bar- very slow service, especially if sitting away from main entertainment area. No second bar in the evening for those not enamoured with the musical entertainment.Could sit outside on the terrace beside the bar though and have service- very pleasant in the early evening. Most alcoholic drinks, but not all, available on the all inclusive package. Also bar service finishes at midnight and no night club/ disco area so no late nights. There was one a la carte restaurant but with a 14 euro charge per head for all inclusive guests we did not try it out.
Requested late room as our flight was not until the evening but none available as hotel fully booked. However, able to use shower room near reception with hair dyer available so we could stay at the pool longer and enjoy our last day.
All in all a very pleasant hotel with very hard working staff. 4 star not 5 but very good value for money.

First time in Tenerife and would recommend this resort. Beautiful hotel, excellent customer service from everyone. Hotel entertainment was very good with tribute acts and educational animal shows for the children. Check out the times of the happy hours if you are not all inclusive. The towel man at the pool is very strict, therefore towels cannot be left on empty beds for long periods of time. Good choice of food at breakfast and the evening meal, and would recommend paying 14 euros per person for an evening in the A La carte restaurant. Beautiful food and service. Only complaint is about other guests allowing their children (under 5's) to run around to 11 and 12 at night. Hotel should introduce a curfew.

Room Tip: We were on the third floor with a pool view and have no complaints what so ever.
