“For a quite holiday”
Reviewed April 12, 2012

Stayed in October 11 and had a lovely time, nice room (must be away from the service yard) clean and well appointed. Evening entertainment was very good, show every night. Pools clean, but could open the Gym at 7am as well as indoor pool. Its Spa is average plus, but not exceptional. Its Location on the outskirts of Adeje is a big plus as you are away from the noise of the night. The food was only OK, coffee not to my taste at all. Wine selection poor and over priced.

Overall a good place to stay on a holiday in Tenerife but, I think, its official rating is overstated..

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms overlooking the service years.

Just returned on the 16th March from spending 10 nights at this hotel. We have been coming to this hotel since 2001 on a regular basis and have never been disappointed. Always found the staff warm and friendly and very helpful.Must admit some of the rooms do require updating but the hotel are doing this and the ones that have been refurbished are very nice.We find the food is fine and plenty to choose from. We would not hesitate in recommending this hotel.Looking forward to our next visit.

My sister and I are just back from a nine day stay in this hotel. I am a regular traveller to Tenerife and I can honestly say this hotel is one of my favourites. I intend to return with my
husband as soon as possible.
We were greeted with a warm welcome by reception staff and found that in fact a warm welcome was extended by all staff we met. The bedroom was clean and comfortable the sheets were changed every 3 days, towels every day.
The food was varied, fresh and very enjoyable. We took part in the aqua-aerobics, and games arranged by the animators. They were friendly and encouraged us to join in and at all times were very kind. The nice beach is approx 10 mins walk and there are some very nice restaurants for lunch nearby. I can recommend this hotel without hesitation if you wish to have a quiet relaxing holiday.

Room Tip: sixth floor with sea view would have been magic but was not available, due to being redecorated.

The hotel itself is very nice and well maintained - there are always staff busying themselves by tending to the extensive gardens, painting, cleaning etc which makes a real difference in terms of overall appearance.

We opted for a junior suite which was a very spacious and nice room, though the bed was more of a camp bed than anything else. Again, the room was cleaned every day and was always left looking very nice.

Entertainment-wise there was not a lot offered by the hotel, there is a piano bar which is more of a section of the massive and impressive entrance hall than a separate area, thought the singers tended to be not great. There are also a few activities during the day such as a fashion show and archery, though to be honest we didn't participate in any of these and didn't really feel as though we missed out. Not a consideration for us, however there is a bar for kids entertainment in the night time.

The front of house staff at the hotel were all multilingual and very helpful, there was no problem with check in or out; I guess the best thing about the hotel is the location, it is right on the beach though it is a black stone beach, however there are golden beaches within a five minute walk. If you can get a room on an upper floor facing out to the see then you will have beautiful views and should take advantage of the spacious balconies with the room.

Our main gripe was with the standard of food - it was perfectly satisfactory but the buffet side of things was only satisfactory and was more of a place to refuel rather than enjoy an evening meal. Even though we were half board we tended to make use of the breakfast and go out of an evening for a meal, only returning to the buffet to have a dessert. All in all I would have expected slightly more from a superior hotel.

Go for the privilege service! It is slightly more expensive but well worth it. You get an upper floor room with lovely views of the ocean as well as access to the privilege lounge where all drinks are free and newspapers are laid out for you. The free drinks part was certainly a bonus as we didn't go fully inclusive. You also get an ipod dock in the room as well as a nespresso coffee maker - definitely a bonus as there is no kettle facility in rooms with the standard service. It also allows you free access to the heated pool in the hotel.

If looking for an evening meal out, turn right out of the beachside of the hotel, walk across the beach and follow the coastline for about 10 minutes to the Piscis restaurant. They do the best paella I have ever tasted and it is comfortably enough for two or three people to share. At 28 euros it's also pretty good value.

Having just returned from 12 nights at this hotel,it gives the feeling that whatever you pay for you do not get. At checkin,I was hounded for my credit card details, given that we were on an all inclusive basis I did not see the reason to handover more. I was told that the hotel is cashless, this is not so and others on various board basis can and do pay cash. we were given a grotty room with equally grotty furniture, and the linen was grey to nearly black, well over used. The floors as with all floors at this hotel are very uneven, trip hazards in abundance. nearly all tables in the restaurant need some form of wedge to remain stable. The food, altough edible and abundant was often cold, never once saw any temperature checks being taken.Apart from breakfast, every other meal time is one headache queing for a ticket so that you can get a drink with your meal. CRAZY WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO HAVE WHAT OUR ALL INCLUSIVE PACKAGE STATED. Where was our sea view, pool view, flat screen tv, themed restaurants etc etc etc. The only plus I would give is that it was fairly peaceful.
Watch out if you are flying late in the day, and you are all inclusive, the ticket is taken away at lunch and you have to pay for drinks etc. Thanks but no thanks

Room Tip: Make sure you take information of what you have paid for.

It's a shame building such a big fancy hotel that has so little to offer. This place really isn't for the experienced and frequent traveller. The announced wifi doesn't work, the reception staff is the slowest I've encountered upon check in, the breakfast selection is huge, but unfortunately of poor quality, the room had one single outlet by the bed and it was already in use by the clock radio, the air condition was out of order and the rooms were cold and clammy, no mini bar, no pay-tv, rude staff at the bar and the breakfast is being served in a huge noisy, crowded hall. Noisy lobby bar playing loud music until late. The hotel is huge and the rooms are not exactly logically placed according to the numbers, which would be ok if they at least put some signs up. The English knowledge of the staff is not impressive. It feels like they had great visions for this hotel, but gave up half way. Cleaning was good.
