we have just returned from a week at the most beautiful friendly hotel we have ever stayed in ,
With it's luxurious surroundings and wonderful staff it is definitely the best hotel we have had the pleasure to stay in on a family holiday in fact any holiday . Myself ,Husband and 9 year old son enjoyed sun soaked days around the pool as well as out and about trips around this fantastic island followed by cosy evenings watching all the brilliant entertainment shows or being serenaded in the piano bar . This hotel has something to offer all ages and is well worth the money .
We enjoyed a wealth of wonderful food at both breakfast and dinner and were spoilt for choice all week in a clean spacious restaurant staffed by the most helpful of people .As some people have mentioned you do pay a small charge for drinks purchased during dinner but this is usually the case I would presume when not an all inclusive hotel !!!! and as for fridges in rooms who wants self catering whilst away ? Plug sockets were available if you used ones that the many lamps were plugged ( just be aware that key system means no power when you are out but fine when in so phone charging etc all fine , and there are hairdryers in bathroom which was great. We had late check out as our flight at night we found the staff very helpful with where to leave bags until flights bus we had a security guard outside locked room where cases were stored and a weighing machine which took 1 euro should we have thought we'd bought too much in the wonderful bazaars and shopping centres on offer .
My only regret is that we didn't book for 10 days or 2 weeks and had to come home after only 7 nights . We would have no hesitation in returning here and are busy planning our next holiday here hopefully before the end of the year .
Anyone who has given this hotel poor feedback must have very very high standards indeed you would be pushed to find such luxury at any 5 star rated hotel .
thank you to all the wonderful staff at the Bahia and to Thomson for top class travel once again
hope to see you all soon

I'm a bit baffled by some of the reviews, but agree with others.

ROOM: Really good sized room and bathroom, bed was a bit hard though. Nice shower over bath and plenty of hot water. (Someone on here complained there was no bidet - who uses them these days except for washing their feet?!!!)

WIFI: No free WiFi but I like to switch off when I go away, so I found that a good thing. There is access in the lobby 10 mins for 1 euro if you just want to check your emails or local bars with free WiFi.

FOOD: The food was AMAZING!
BREAKFAST: The best selection at breakfast I've ever seen - traditional fry up of scrambled eggs (one with ham), fried eggs, bacon, several types of sausages, chips(!), cereals (normal milk and soya milk), fresh fruit, cold meats/hams, salad, several types of sliced bread, selection of rolls, cakes/pastries, donuts, croissants, omelettes made to order, pancakes; and one morning we had sparkling wine and caviar! Good choice of coffee and tea, hot chocolate; and fruit juices.
DINNER: Dinner consisted of a different meat joint each night carved by the chef, also freshly fried fish, lamb chops (a different thing each night), different potato dishes each night, different vegetables, rice, pasta, pasta sauce, meat in sauce, plus other stuff I can't remember, cold meats/ham, choice of soup, salad, olives, ice cream, cakes, pastries, fresh fruit etc etc. There is no free drink with dinner, which is surprising considering how much you get at breakfast. I doubt they would ever change that though as they probably make a good deal of money from it.

ENTERTAINMENT: We didn't enjoy the evening entertainment much - if you like tribute bands you'll love it (Abba, Bee Gees, Queen), snake show, comedian (telling other comedian's jokes!). There are plenty of other bars around the hotel for other singers/music. We weren't around the hotel during the day to experience the daytime entertainment.

ROOM: Paying for a fridge that's already in the room was the most ridiculous thing we've ever come across, we would rather have warm drinks than pay for that! There is only one available socket which is in the bathroom and a note in the room that using electrical appliances in the room is forbidden and only shavers can be used! We had our own kettle to make the odd coffee when we fancied it, but had to plan when to charge our phones, camera battery and shave!

As suggested by other TripAdvisor reviewers, we emailed the week before and requested a high room with sea view and that's what we got. Sunny balcony until the sun set when all the sunbathing areas were in the shade - and we were on the second floor.

LOCATION: It is a bit of a hill down to the beach, which if fine going but a bit of a struggle getting back to the hotel in the heat of the day. Would be good if there was a rear entrance.

POOL: Plenty of sunbathing areas and 3 pools to sit by, plus a child's pool (we didn't use these though as we prefer the beach).

Despite the negative things I've mentioned, the good definitely outweighed the negative. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: We were in room 244 - sunny balcony until the sun set, sea view and pool view, could hear the piano...

Once again a great stay at the Bahia Princess,we ended up high floor pool side of the hotel, great room, one thing I would say is don't expect a sunny balcony as a lot of them are not, but don't let that ruin your stay get down on the sunbeds below and chill out, there was always beds available great staff, food and cleanliness. English main tv channels in room beds not the best.
Guests were complaining about road noise, if at front of hotel.
The balcony snack bar was very nice for lunch and priced reasonably.
note to management some high external features of the hotel are starting to look a bit tarnished and could do with a spruce up. Fridge and wifi prices too dear. But overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Ask for high floor pool view

This hotel certainly looks great but the extra charges for basic services make this a 4-star hotel with a 3-star mentality. Here’s a summary of what you’re going to have to pay for in addition to your room if you choose to stay here: €6 a day for Wi-Fi; €4 a day to use the fridge which is already in your room; €1 to weigh your bags on departure; additional € to hire the safe which is already in your room (we didn’t use it); and additional € for all drinks / water purchases at dinner. If you’re looking for a real luxury hotel that provides these additional services for free as part of your stay, it’s probably better to stay somewhere else; i.e. a quality 4-star or 5-star hotel. There are other aspects of this hotel that we did not like: uncomfortable beds; poor so-called “air conditioning”; no plug sockets in the rooms for electrical devices (appalling!); poor lighting; dated green furnishings; disturbances from maintenance staff; and occasional problems with the water being turned off. The waiting staff are lovely but the reception staff are lazy and unhelpful. If you have high standards, expect decent quality, prefer excellent customer service and want clear unambiguous pricing for your stay, I would avoid this place. I certainly won’t be staying here again.

Room Tip: If you really must choose this location and hotel brand, then go for the sister hotel the Guayarmina...

Recently spent a week with three pals in The Bahia Princess Hotel, Adeje, Tenerife, and it was a sheer delight. Hotel was spotless, though the cleaning staff were as well concealed as those in Disneyland; the location was excellent; the entertainment was excellent; the food was excellent but the Staff were better than excellent - friendly and smiling daily, despite their obvious hard work, they always had time to greet everyone. I really cannot sing their praises loud enough and hope this can be related to them all.

Room Tip: We had the use of a room to shower and change in between vacating our room and getting picked up for...

Room Tip: Try for a room over the main building as lower rooms are close to the main entertainment bar.

We are just back from a lovely week in this hotel. It is very clean and the food is lovely.plenty of choice. The only negative points were 6 euros per day for wi fi which only works in the lobby or by the pool not in the rooms. The fridge (mini bar) was 4 euros per day and safe 2.25 per day. It all adds up if you are there a couple of weeks. We stay at a lovely hotel in Majorca where all of that is standard. That said we still had a lovely time and used local pub for free wi if. There are lots of stairs if mobility a problem.

Room Tip: Our room was in left side of hotel..2016 handy for restaurant
