Reviewed February 2, 2013

we stayed here august 2012 had a great time, hotel was very clean and plenty of choice at meal times .We stayed on half board and as my husband is VERY fussey about his food he always enjoyed his meals.hotel did have lots of steps not just down to the pool and restaurant but you can always take the lift. the room we had over looked the pool and as it was on a high floor also we could see the sea which was nice i would recamend E mailing hotel to ask for this we did and was realy happy we did this because not keen on the view from front rooms over looking the road .the room could have done with a plug socket becouse I had to pull fridge plug out to use hair straighteners wish I had taken a small extension lead.As to the area its great lots of nice bars and found a rock bar hubby was really HAPPY. forgot to say even in august we never had any problem getting a sun bed no dashing out early putting towels out which I HATE GETTING IN TO THAT GAME. all in all had great time and one day we will return .

Just looking at some of the reviews on here, how can anyone complain about this hotel? Absolutely outstanding hotel, staff, services and food. A short walk from the beach area, shops and local market. Hotel had plenty of sun beds and spotless pool area. Cleanliness in every area of the hotel. Staff were attentive, polite and always ready to assist.

What could make it better? Tea making facilities in the room.

Room Tip: We were in room 5001 so any room in that block, all with 4 digits, will do you. Overlooks the pool a...

Just back from a week at the Bahia Prince and was very pleased with the hotel. Room was spacious, quiet and spotless. Could only be better if tea/coffee facilities were provided, we took our own kettle which you can plug in the bathroom socket, not ideal but works okay.
We were half board and the meals are self service buffet stlye but with plenty choice and always seemed to be replenished so the food was never laying around for long. The service thoughout the hotel is very good. There are a lot of steps thoughut the hotel particularly the 52 from the pool up to the main hotel, there are lifts for the less able but the steps do help you work of the big evening meals!! Would go back again no problem.

Room Tip: We had room 209 facing the pool, this is away from the main road so is nice and quiet.

Our holiday stay in December at the Bahia Princess was most enjoyable. Firstly, the weather was wall to wall sunshine for each of our 14 day stay; just what we had wished for in escaping from the UK Winter. The most outstanding feature of this hotel was its cleanliness; throughout every area it was spotless. Our room overlooked the pool, with a distant sea view, and was fine. Decoration getting a little tired, so perhaps updating will not be too far away. The presentation of food In the dining room was very good with excellent choices, and the staff were very attentive. The location of the hotel in Adeje is first class; good shops and supermarkets nearby, and just a 10 minute walk to the sea-front promenade, where you can walk for miles. This was our first visit to the hotel, and we already have plans to return.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms overlooking the busy main road.

My husband and I went here in January 2013 for my husbands birthday. What can I say the hotel was excellent. On arrival we were dealt with quickly and professionally by the reception staff and the bellboy took our cases to our room. We hired the safe and the fridge, the safe gave us piece of mind, but I wouldn't bother hiring the fridge if we returned. It was very small, and you could only stand a bottle of wine and a small bottle of water in it. When you left the room and took your room key out of the electric would go off and the fridge would go off to, so it was pointless really.

The food was good, plenty of choice but a bit bland. The breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice. The soup at dinner was very good.

The rooms were excellent, roomy and very clean. The maid cleaned every day and changed the towels very day. One thing I would say is that my husband and I are used to bath sheets and this would a great addition. Overall the room was great.

The entertainment was ok, it was really geared towards the older generation. Comedy Elvis and the drag act were great on our first evening, but after that it went a bit down hill. One night it was a fashion show, Neil Diamond and bird of prey show. Not our cup of tea!

Happy hour cocktails were nice, we sat and enjoyed a few of them. They were 3 euros each, which was reasonable. A bottle of wine at dinner cost us 11 euros, about the same as you could pay in an english restuarnt. The staff in the dinning room were excellent, could not fault them at all. We did find the other guest very old (not that we minded), but a lot of the time they do love to stare and I mean stare! It may be because my husband and I are only in our early forties and most guest were well over sixy.

The bar staff were brilliant as well, they work really hard and they deserved their tips. The piano bar made a nice change, as we sat up there a couple of evenings. We met a lovely bar person call Jorge, he was really lovely chap and very easy to talk too, as we found that most people in this hotel, kept themselves to themselves and we found a lot of the guest very stuffy.

We had a few nights out in Playa Fanabe which made a nice change. The beach was fantastic and spent most of our days laying on the beach. We found it too quiet around the pool areas, and far too cold to swim. The main pool was not heated as stated in the hotel information. I braved the pool once, but it was even too cold for me. Didn't really see anyone in the pool, and this was disappointing.

Overall, the staff, the food and the hotel was great, but I wouldn't go back at that time of year again, perhaps in the summer.

A big thank you too the hotel who left a bottle of Cava in the room on our return, for my husbands birthday. We hadn't told anyone that it was his birthday, but the maid must have seen his birthday cards, and informed the hotel. It was a lovely surprise for him, and a lovely finished to a lovely birthday. Thanks again.

Brought New Year in at this Hotel. What a fantastic Gala dinner they put on. Lots of lovely memories. I was in room 440 which was absolutely fantastic the balcony was enormous and went tight round the side of the building giving us fantastic views of the sea and the mountains. The hotel was spotless and the staff were all very friendly. Would definitely go back to this hotel without a doubt. It was very close to all shopping areas, pubs and restaurants therefore no need to spend extra money on taxis etc.

Room Tip: Ask for room 440 of it is available. You won't be dissapointed. It's on the 4th floor and...
