This is an average mega-resort with all of the amenities found in similar style resort all over the area. There is a good variety of food but the gourmet flavor is missing since it is cook for the masses. The resort is worth visiting but do not fall in the scam of signing up for a membership. There are other resorts that have better amenities and services in the area.
With regards to my membership comments, I felt into this scheme and now I am hooked for the next 10 years. When the sales rep described the package, they made it sound great; however, when the time comes to redeem your membership, my experience with the reservation office is less than stellar. After paying in full for my Bahia Princess membership and the yearly maintenance fee they charge you, you become less important as proven when I tried to make reservations for the first two years of my membership. Because of the poor reservation customer service I experienced, I am still yet to secure a membership vacation period since I became a member two years ago. I deeply regret my membership purchase and will never, ever consider any other membership of this type in the future.

We stayed at the Bahia for a week Half board over christmas and really enjoyed this Hotel, which was very clean, beautiful relaxed place in a superb location just out of the heart of Torviscas. The rooms are very spacious and cleaned daily, new towels and soaps etc. The bar and terrace area are really nice but out of happy hour you do pay premium rates for snacks, drinks, hot beverages and ice creams. We are used to being all inclusive so to keep costs down we went across the road to La Flaca for free wi fi and alcoholic drinks and snacks. There is also a Spanish style off license up the road for all your booze, tonics and cigerettes. The food at the Bahia is probably the best I has expeerienced. Lovely dining room with great friendly staff, a huge choice of quality top end food, always hot and plenty choice to suit everyone. We must have had a fresh roast choice every eve plus fish and steaks cooked whilst you wait. Superb selection of salads, veg, deserts, soups and cheeses. Just one thing we were a little dissapointed with is that the safe and fridge in the room is chargeable and the wi fi too plus only one free pool towel, any changes again chargeable. The evening entertainment was good and seemed to offer a good selection for everyone. On the whole this is a superb hotel if you want a nice low key place to stay to enjoy your surroundings and make use of the hotels facilities. If you are after something a little more upbeat then a hotel closer to the centre or the Sunwin down the road would be more cost effective. Overall a superb hotel.

Room Tip: Brilliant choice for a nice place to stay, good on the border location and superd food. More suitabl...

Myself and my partner stayed at this hotel over Christmas, although the hotel is clean an plesant we were not impressed with a few things, having to pay for the safe, fridge, and to change the beach towels that could not be taken on the beach, not being able to take electrical things because they will not let you use them, you can only take hair dryer or shaver, what happens when you want to charge your phone Ipad or anything else, we were not impressed with the food either, breakfast was very greasey, and the orange juice was not drinkable.
We had a top floor room on the road side of the hotel, this was fine but we would not like a low fllor room as it would be too noisey.
And the beds were not flat they bowed in the middle.
we would not stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it.
What a shame a waste of £2000 for 1 week.

Having stayed at this hotel a couple of times before we knew that some of the rooms were not that good, so with some trepidation we booked for new year. On a previous occasion we were given one of the bad rooms, which really are not suitable for anyone wanting a sun holiday as they are completely blocked by a massive palm tree. Even the staff must be embarrassed by giving this to guests. This was after requesting by email to both the hotel itself and Thomsons directly for a room with a view! So why book again? Well the hotel generally is really good and hopefully you wont spend too much time there. The food is excellent and I wonder that some seem to find fault in it. It is good quality home cooked food. Nothing fancy admittedly but well cooked and well presented, with lots of variety. Generally, two fresh soups usually veg and one with some meat in it, which I could quite happily have every evening but is so filling I only had it a couple of times. Always a roast, a griddle meat and a fresh fish. Wonderful salads and even a pasta dish every evening. A wonderful display of desserts to finish off and/or a cheese board, which I again didn't take advantage of as I enjoy the main meals. Breakfast is fine although that does seem to be the same most mornings, just like all the other hotels then. The staff are lovely and we found them very helpful, more so than in previous visits so maybe they are trying to up their game? Hope so. We stayed for New Year and the gala dinner was absolutely fantastic with a big fanfare for each course! How they catered to such a high standard for so many guests at one time was amazing. We have stayed in better hotels and the food has been terrible and the only reason I wont give this hotel full marks is because some of the rooms are not what holiday makers are expecting on their sunshine holiday.

Room Tip: I really dont know what you have to do to get a good room at this hotel. Even on this occasion given...

Visited the Bahia Princess the week before christmas....fantastic food, great location, staff were brilliant, lots of quality entertainment.... although quiet, atmosphere was just right, certainly no fighting for sun loungers! .... rooms were clean and spacious....would definitely recommend and will definitely return.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view room

Although this is a lovely hotel with great staff the room we were allocated should be pulled from service. Room 1009 has a constant droning noise going on in the room 24/7. We didn't use the air con so it wasn't that it seemed to come from the electrical box inside the hall wall of the room. Whether it was a control centre for other things I don't know. In general I felt the surroundings of the hotel was 5* star status however, the 5* luxuries were missing. Skimping on toiletries, shower gel etc. in small sachets that really were useless. Bedding in my opinion was of poor quality especially the sheets & blankets. Although furniture looked good, the cane chairs in the room was poor. £2200 for week is a lot on hard earn cash for a sub standard room. Entertainment wasn't brilliant either, terrible tribute bands that were so loud anybody with little children would have had them bouncing in their beds because the volume was so loud. The food was ok most of the time but again in my opinion not of 5* quality. A large elegant hotel complex gives a 5* impression but the finer, individual things were missing. I've noticed a drop in standards in these large hotels of late - cost cutting!!!

Spent Christmas 2012 at this hotel with my hubby. This was our 3rd stay at this hotel and everything was brilliant. Weather was good and standards at the hotel were still high. The Christmas Gala Night was the best. We were sat on a table with 8 others and a 4 course meal was served. Wine and water was also free flowing. The meal was of an excellent standard and was served fast and efficiently by the waiting staff. As this was a gala night gentlemen were expected to wear a jacket and/or tie (they had a supply of ties for those who forgot!) This was probably the most stress free Christmas we have experienced in a long time and no fight for sunloungers! Most of the staff were quick and efficient however the Piano Bar in the mornings was a little too slow at serving coffees etc. We enjoyed it so much we are looking to go back again at Easter.
