“Totally deserving of high praise and number 1 rating”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

What a fabulous week we had in this stunning hotel, it is an oasis! This could have been a difficult week, as for the first time I had taken my 80 year old parents with me on my annual visit to Tenerife. They were in need of some Rest and this hotel was perfect.
The setting: Simply stunning, beautiful gardens, pool area, waterfalls, sun beds- plenty, though some of the old dears do like to stake their pitch a little early as they pass by on their way to breakfast but it really wasn't a problem, just amusing to watch!
The staff : everyone has already said it, nothing is too much to ask. From reception on arrival, the porters who deliver your luggage and show you the layout of hotel, the maids who keep rooms spotless, the restaurant staff, the bar staff, the pool staff, the lifeguard who plays with the children and teaches them to swim, the masseuse ( Francesco) each and everyone of them are very much part of a highly trained team and have customer service at the forefront of everything they do. One morning when my mother was not so well and didn't go down for breakfast they sent coffee and tea to the room with pastries, no charge and then public relations rang twice over the next two days to make sure she was ok.
The rooms: my parents had a garden view room ( masca 117) which was ground floor, perfect, two sun beds are allocated outside your patio which was great. Our room was a standard in G321, a different block but still very handy for parents, just as I had requested. Our balcony also had two chairs and two sun beds, it was side facing but we could also see the sea, we were very happy with the standard of comfort for a standard room. If anything the beds were a little hard for me but I realise now I could have asked for a mattress topper.
The food: no complaints at all, we were booked bed and breakfast only as we do like to stroll out to eat at night. The breakfast had everything you could wish for, eggs, bacon cooked freshly, every possible flavour of juice and smoothie and even champagne for those that can drink it that early! There wasn't anything missing and it reminded me of the type of selection you get on cruises. We ate in the buffet restaurant on one evening and again the selection was very good but I think if you were half board it might get a little boring every night but the quality was very good. On our last evening because of an early start we booked a table in the poolside restaurant and this was excellent, we had a range of tapas which were lovely and the setting by the water is beautiful.
Our 5am departure was no problem, our coffee and croissant were delivered at 4am, no charge, and our luggage collected at 4.45am absolutely spot on.
If I can afford it I would love to go again in October but if not we will definitely book again for next February. Having always booked luxury villas in tenerife this was a real change for us and one we will do again. I loved being able to walk out and enjoy everything Tenerife has to offer from the high class del duque area on the right to the slightly tacky fanabe area on the left but most of all it was lovely to return to this oasis everyday and just chill! As for the parents first visit to Tenerife they were left with wonderful memories of an excellent hotel and staff who cared.

Room Tip: Masca garden rooms on ground floor are a great spot for sunbathing and two sun beds outside your pat...

We stayed here for a week from 10th - 17th Feb and we really enjoyed everything about the hotel. Reception staff and doormen were very welcoming and took our luggage and valet-parked our car for us whilst we enjoyed a complimentary drink and canapes. Our room was 308 in Ucanca building and was very spacious and clean with more complimentary drinks and fruit. All very welcome after a two and a half hour delay, sitting on the tarmac at Gatwick waiting for our plane to be fixed!
Excellent facilities in room but no tea/coffee maiking stuff so we took a kettle and teabags to make a cup of tea in the mornings - very british, I know, but was lovely to sit out on the balcony and watch the sun come over the mountains. On Valentines Day we had a large heart-shape choc covered shortbread left in our room, which was a nice touch. We had intended to eat out most nights but we enjoyed the food, ambience and staff, especially Miguel, at the Cascade poolside restaurant we ate there on all but 2 nights! One night we had room service which was disappointing, expensive and the food arrived almost cold. We didn't try La Coupole but the prices were the same as our room service meal, so definitely not too expensive.
Shower very powerful in bathroom but was over the bath with a horrid plastic curtain so sometimes my husband flooded the floor! We agree the wifi was a bit slow in Ucanca building but no worse than our speed at home. We were on 3rd floor despite asking for top floor but we didn't change as there was no noise from above but some noise when the rooms next door were being cleaned by dragging furniture across the floor. Room had a great view of pool and resort and partial sea view. Hotel in great position, easy to walk to shops and restaurants and along promenade through an exit down to beach from near the pool and sundeck. Rooms in Guajara building dont have pool view but have direct sea view but guess would be noisier from the restaurants along the beachfront as most seem to have live music in the evening. The pool area is great and main pool very warm. The cold pool was too cold for us but some brave souls did swim in it. The inevitable reserving of sunloungers does go on but we always found plenty available but probably not when the hotel is busy. I hope the staff do take towels off at busy times as some people never seemed to come back to them. Would really be annoying in high season.
Breakfast buffet has huge choice - never seen so many choices of freshly squeezed fruit juices! A bit of a queue for omlettes towards end of the week as it got busier for half-term. We sat in the Tiffany bar some evenings for a coffee and brandy and was not overly impressed with some of the entertainment, although the pianist was pleasant to listen to. Generally a mature clientel but some families around. It is a great choice for a high quality relaxing break . We will definitely go back next time we want some winter sun.

Room Tip: Trees obscure view from some ground - 2nd floor rooms. Top floor balconies would have full sun almos...

Went for 4 nights on Valentines day. Firstly weather was great all the days we were there.
The hotel was excellent throughout. It was Bed and Breakfast.
The breakfast was very well stocked, fresh and carried all the usual variety, including champagne available (but drinking this for breakfast is too early for me)
We had a room in block Adeje #305. It was really nice and had a private balcony that got Sun all day and eve and had sun loungers on the balcony too
Complimentary wine and chocolates in our room on arrival
Choice of replacement towels and bedlinen daily or other frequency
Maid service was excellent leaving the room very tidy without hiding everything you leave out, and they turn bed down and leave chocolates in the evening.
Two main pools, one salty and heated - really quite warm, and the other cold fresh water, very invigorating!
Bar service, lunch restaurant etc very nicely positioned next to the pool and food good and reasonably priced.
Beds were on the firm side.
We did not use the hotel for evening meals at all, nor did we use the evening entertainment.
We were however one of the younger couples...and we're not young. We like this type of demographic, not all will.
There were a few families with kids about but they were all very well behaved and didn't lessen the experience (that sounds really bad, but there you go).
There is a SPA and Fitness room, which looked ok, but we didn't use.
We did book excursions from the tourist centre on site, very well run.
There was no trouble with sunbed reservation - in fact they publish that staff will remove towels if unattended. We probably avoided full occupancy with these dates so it may be worse when busy. It certainly was not empty though.

Overall a very nice hotel and good location right on the front, not too far or close from the restaurant streets and Port Colon, albeit very quiet and "secluded" by the security and on site palm trees etc. We would return here if visiting the area again.

Room Tip: Many are "sea view", but higher storey rooms have a better outlook, you get what you pay f...

Thank you very much for your detailed comment about your gained experiences during your short stay with us. We are very pleased that you enjoyed it here and that you have had a good time.
We were not fully booked but on an average of 85% during the four days you stayed with us, which is pretty good.
As you could see, even being quite full, you don't really realise it. You always find a calm place and a sunbed too.

We hope that we will see you again in the future and assure you our best service at all times.

Kind regards.

We stayed one week for a sunny winter break and had a wonderful time. The architecture and interior of the main building is stunning and we liked the fact that the guest rooms are distributed in several smaller buildings. The lay-out of the garden/pool area with water cascades created a very peaceful atmosphere.

Quality of food and drinks was excellent and the evenings with piano music at the Tiffany Bar a particular highlight (we stayed at the hotel for most nights as we enjoyed it so much). The Patio-Bar upstairs from the Cascada restaurant was also great.

We generally arrived at the pool midday to early afternoon (usually going for a walk along the coast - La Caletta is definitely worth a visit- in the morning followed by a visit to the gym) and despite the late arrival there was always still plenty of choice regarding sun beds.

As mentioned by previous reviewers though, the main strength of this hotel is the staff:
Everybody was extremely friendly and you could tell that all staff members from the chamber maids and pool kiosk attendants through to the waiters, cooks, receptionists and management were proud to provide an excellent service in all regards. Everything is well maintained and kept very clean.

To our surprise a complimentary bottle of cava arrived in our room on my husbands birthday, which was a very kind personal gesture.

The only minor point we had was that the WiFi speed in the Ucanca building where we stayed could have been faster, although this was not a major problem for us.

In summary, we can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anybody, who is looking for a relaxing, high-quality holiday and will be definitely back.

We recently stayed in the hotel on a return visit having stayed there one year previously. Once again we were more than impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the spotless rooms, the breakfast buffet, the pool area and the wonderful gardens. We had previously stayed in Costa Adeje in another hotel which, although very good, did not match up to the standards of Jardines de Nivaria.During our visit we had a very informative chat with the Director of Operations who suggested we should try the a la carte restaurant (we were only booked for bed and breakfast). Unfortunately on this occasion it was not possible but we shall certainly give it a try on our next visit as we fully intend to return next year. Excellent, friendly hotels such as this are not easy to find!

Wonderful Hotel; great staff and outstanding cuisine. We stayed Half Board and very much enjoyed the outstanding buffets morning and evening.
Really Lovely heated swimming pool (about 28 degrees C).
Minor observations: Beds firm, so ask for a softer mattress, which will get you a topper; no tea-making facilities; avoid rooms overlooking the beach road if you are susceptible to late night noise.
Overall, we were delighted with our choice and congratulate the manager and his team for rightly holding No 1 position in Costa Adeje.

Room Tip: Adeje block looks best; as high as possible, with sea view.

Thank you very much for your friendly words about our hotel and services. We always do our best to make the stay of our clients as enjoyable as posible and are pleased to read that you have had a pleasent holiday.
If clients need a quiet room they should not book a standard room, you are right. Nevertheless we have many clients who are perfectly fine with a standard room. It always depends on your personal taste and what you are looking for.
We hope to welcome you again in our hotel in the future and remain at your entire disposal.
