“The Best Apple Pie”
Reviewed December 23, 2013

We visited Harriet's in its initial location, which is bijous, on a visit to Tenerife last year and the service and food was fantastic then. We visited the new location a few weeks ago in its new location (although the existing location is still going strong) and the service and food is still fantastic, with the addition of free wi-fi. My husband's favourite, and his daily treat, was "a slab of Apple pie", he has such a way with words!! The owner, alias Harriet, is a gem, she most definitely is the 'Hostess with the mostest" as well as being a fantastic baker.

“"Absolutely First Class"”
Reviewed December 22, 2013

Having visited the original Harriets on a number of occasions during our recent holiday to Tenerife, and in March this year, I have to say that this is a tea room of the very highest quality that would really take some beating, even if it were located in England. The staff are very pleasant, the service is excellent and the quality and freshness of the food is second to none. Compared to anywhere else we had lunch or a snack, we found this place to be a class apart. The only disappointment is that it is not located near where we live in England. If youre holidaying in or near to this area I would say this is THE place to eat. The excellent reviews this establishment receive are well deserved and are a credit to the owners and staff.

“Very nice”
Reviewed December 19, 2013

Visited the Home from Home version of Harriets. Found it a nice place with a balance between indoor and outdoor space (original Harriets is all outdoor). Nicely finished and good staff, though our table was located right under the counter which was not ideal.

Food was as good as previously experienced and a pot of tea (on one of the colder days) was bliss.

Thank you for your review, we are a bit disappointed you gave our new tea room 4 stars after you gave our small tea room 5 stars when you visited in June.
The reason for your table being next to the bar, was because the weather outside was very poor and wet, we decided to put more tables inside so that customers could stay warm and dry, we do not normally have tables in front of the bar, we are pleased you enjoyed our new tea room and the service you received.
Hopefully the weather will be better next time you visit, thanks again.

“Hidden little gem”
Reviewed December 14, 2013

Myself mother and son visited after seeing a little blackboard sayin tea rooms homemade scones and cakes, as we were stayin nearby half board this place was fantastic to grab a light bite and a fantastic cup of Nescafé. We ordered from specials board there is a lot of questions when ordering but think this is do everyone receives highest standards to what they require. Staff very friendly, the guy I'm guessing was owner was equally on hand and happy and approachable. We had pushchair with us and had to carry it upstairs which was bit of a down fall maybe there is a ramp acess somewhere?? Also I think this place would be brill if it had English papers to read when having a snack. As most Brits know an English paper probably costs more than a cuppa ha. All in all fantastic hidden little gem !

“This is getting boring, but......”
Reviewed December 11, 2013

My wee Bro (blairieboy) got his comments in first, and I cannot argue with his review of this great little venue. Apart from the black pudding, but there you go!

Stuart and Team never fail to make you smile, even when the rain is battering awnings into submission all around and the staff have to paddle through water to reach the tables. The club sandwich is amazingly good, so good that I was the only one of four who couldn't manage 'afters'.

Thanks to all at Harriet's for adding real value to our holiday.

Thank you for your great review, we all enjoyed your visits to our tea room, the pictures of the girls walking through the water in bare feet to serve customers, will be a reminder of your holiday.
