“Lovely ,quiet hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2011

We were upgraded to this hotel from the one we had originally booked ,so were initially a little wary.We needn't have been as The Mirador is a real treat!
From check in to check out, staff were helpful and friendly.
Rooms were very large with separate sitting area, walk in wardrobe, large bathroom with bath, separate shower and toilet, large balcony area , loads of storage and one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in,complete with choice of hard, soft or medium pillows. All are sea facing with lovely views.
Breakfast was good with plenty of fresh choices and a nice setting.
The pool is lovely, never more than a few people in it.There are plenty of sunbeds and plenty of shade. The beach is near by and there are nice walks along the seafront.
Both the hotel and the general area are quiet, peaceful and upmarket. The perfect place for a relaxing break.Having stayed in many luxury hotels worldwide, I would not hesitate to return here.
The only thing I could think of to improve this would be WiFi access in rooms.

Stayed in a junior superior suite on B&B basis. Pool was great, food was good and staff were friendly. Couldn't find anything to complain about which is unusual for me.

Lovely and peaceful. No children! Never felt overcrowded. Rooms are very nice. Breakfast buffet is fine. Plenty of sunbeds. Some really nice restaurants within 100m. Staff generally very friendly and helpful.
The only downsides were the wireless internet (which rarely works) and the pool (lovely and big, and very warm, but seriously needs refurbishment)
Apart from that, everything was lovely

Room Tip: We were 4th floor, direct sea view

This is a lovely luxurious and peaceful hotel, for adults only. The suites are very well appointed with dressing rooms, large bathrooms, and separate seating area. All the staff are extremely friendly, and professional and the check in was a particularly pleasant experience as you are offered a welcome drink and invited to take a seat with them at the reception while they explain the facilities of the hotel. Both the food and the service in the restaurant and the bar areas is impeccable. The location is close to El Duque beach and the promenade where there are plenty bars and restaurants to choose from. The pool area is amazing with plenty of comfortable loungers and very good bar service.

Room Tip: All rooms are sea facing, but some are in the shade as they are set back a little from the main buil...

Being a professional travel agent I can only recommend El Mirador after 2 stays. Impressive underground entrance. Quick check-in with a glass of champagne. BIG rooms all facing the ocean and with balcony. Perfect grounds with amble sunbeds by pool or on lawn. Best hotel food ever.
Since Adult Only this is a perfect place for relaxation – no poolmusic but only the rattle from the palm trees. In the evening easy live entertainments from a sax, piano or a duet. Very quick, smiling and attentive service.
Rooms:
Large with balcony facing the sea. Walk in closet, huge bathroom with separate shower and toilet – bathtub and 2 sinks. All kinds of super toiletries refilled every day. Morning and evening room clean up. Water bottles refilled free of charge. Minibar (which can actually be used for cooling a bottle of wine or water). TV with limited channels. Separate relaxing area with sofa and chairs.
Public areas:
Large public areas. Grand reception with bar. A reading room with only one public computer free of charge. Free WI-FI area in reception area. Movie shown in the evening. Grand and impressive lounge and bar area by pool – and a huge outdoor pool heated in the winter (no indoor pool). Newly opened massage and health area. Large area with plentiful sunbeds. Free use of towels handed by the barman (remember your towel ticket).
Restaurants:
El Mirador: huge selection of food for breakfast. Cook to prepare omelettes etc. Smoothies bar. Free cava. Evening superb food – starters from buffet (different theme every night), main course served by table, desserts from buffet.
La Pergola: Only open at certain evenings for romantic a la carte dinner by the bool.
El Cenador: Only open at certain nights for a la carte dinner.
Tip:
Be sure to buy HB (half board). You do not get better food.
We recommend wine by the glass
Room 1424 or 1422 for afternoon sun
Room 1412 or 1414 for morning sun
Pro:
Adult Only – Quiet and peacefull – Big comfortable rooms with sea view – Best hotel food ever – Change of towel 2 times a day - Super attentive service in public areas and restaurants – Free underground parking – Situated in best area of south coast
Con:
WI-FI/internet in rooms (hotel is working on installing this in near future).

Get packed and go

Room Tip: Highest floor: Room 1424 or 1422 for afternoon sun - Room 1412 or 1414 for morning sun

Very classy Hotel got to be the best on the island, excellent food, breakfast outstanding, evening meal even better, Hotel staff very friendly and very helpfull, Junior Delux room (free upgrade) top class.
veiws from balcony, cleaned every day turned down every evening, could not fault the hotel in any way just to say It's Very Classy.
I've read some reviews stating that its not 5 star or that people who rate the hotel highly don't know what 5 star quality is, well we have stayed in Dubai's Jumeirah Beach Hotel on 7 occasions and although this is not quite as good take my word its not far behind, and improving all the time. Had a great stay from 1st July to 8th July 2011 can not wait to go back, so relaxing I am not easily pleased but as i said before could not find fault.

Room Tip: Book Halfboard, excellent food fantastic setting.

This hotel is in a lovely quiet location with excellent views. We were B&B and found breakfast good. Excellent pool. The room was also nice but some of decor example lights, wood in need of repair. Its a bit of a hilly walk to shops and any restaurants outside del duque area.

At the beginning of week we got nightly turn down service and room attentions. But by end of week though this service seemed to be discontinued which is not acceptable for a five star.

Staff were friendly in general especially on check in.
