Brunch at Dearnford on a Sunday is the perfect antidote to a busy working week.
this week, I had the lovely eggs benedict with a perfectly smooth hollandaise sauce, fresh orange juice and coffee. My friend had a full English which was also very tasty with high quality produce used. My only criticism is that the service, whilst friendly and polite, can be very slow.

Love the venue, very regular visitors though I will only have a drink here now. The food is ridiculously overpriced, menu descriptions are very current, sound great, though when the food arrives it is so basic! Could be amazing, location is beautiful. Waitress staff are not always very accommodating but that has improved lately.

Keep on driving to Whitchurch or Shrewsbury
More expensive than Bath, York and Chester? Very overpriced. Its an old quarry that now has a lake? Young girls serving couldnt give a monkeys geytcthem to watch Mr Self ridge.

Very nice food, freshly prepared and very good tea and coffee. We did wait an awfully long time (both for the order to be taken and for the food to be delivered) although it wasn't a busy time. The cafe is quite expensive. The lake is not a public area so I am completely on the side of the owners in expecting dog walkers to stick to the rules and make a contribution if not visiting the cafe. They are not running the place as a charity, after all. The cafe and surroundings are really pleasant. We'll definitely return.

The setting itself is great, but I'd give the cafe a miss & head off to one of the local pubs
We wont be back - long wait & very expensive for what you get
