Stayed here for one night with my wife and two kids as we planned to go to the early moring mass the next day in the Catholic Church nearby. Overall I would say it's a decent stay. The first thing that I noticed as the room was opened was an unpleasant smell (like stale tobacco). The smell went away after about half an hour later. The room was spacious and pitch black when you turn the lights off. The A/C was okay but the TV has poor reception.

The Good: Really nice breakfast selection. The lobby makes you feel you are in a 4 or 5 star establishment. Ample parking

The Bad: Funny smell inside the rooms.

This looks like the tallest building in the whole of Chantaburi town and must have been a top hotel at its heyday. Unfortunately, it seems run down now and has a very bad smell especially in the rooms. Appliances in the rooms also don't work very well, like the phone, shower and poor TV reception. The swiming pool looked very dirty from above and so we didn't want to actually try it.

At 1,700 bht per night in a superior room, the rates seems a bit high for the overall quality, but the location is great. Walking distance to the Robinsons' mall, the Gems traders center as well as to the Gems market, this hotel is very conveniently located.

Stayed one night on return leg of visa run from Ban Laem Cambodia border,I think the hotel was quite grand in its hey day, however it could do with a refurbish as of most buildings in Thailand they seem to tire very quickly. The room was however very clean and tidy. There didn,t seem to be much choice of good accomodation in the area, which is a typical market town. The people are quite nice but there not familiar with tourist.Lucky for me I had a charming Thai companion for my trip so it helped with ordering the food and getting a room which I paid 1100 baht as I sent my companion in to book.We ate on the 18th floor restaurant which had lovely night veiws over the old town,There was a residential band playing whose singer did her best to please by singing in english country and western. We ate a thai fish dish on the recomendation of the waitress which was very nice and so was the fish by the way.
