Sukkasem is a very nice, clean hotel. It is in a convenient area of town not too far from many of the main attractions. One nice feature is that it is only about 1 minute walk away from the night market, as well as right next door to Pum 3--both are excellent dinner options.
That being said, I also think there are some drawbacks. It was often difficult to find someone working there if we needed anything, which could be fairly inconvenient. Also, depending on which room you get, they can be exceedingly small. Finally, the beds are quite hard. I have been in Thailand for quite some time, so I am used to firm beds, but these were well on the hard side of the spectrum even for Thai beds.
All in all, a good value, but not the most luxurious place.More
