This is an important place in the history of modern India's. I wish the place is better kept. The surroundings were not maintained properly and there are no proper toilet facilities for a place that attract such huge flow of tourists.

Deeksha bhoomi is a must visit for anyone who has an interest in the Constitution or Dr. Ambedkar's life. Its a short visit which leaves you overwhelmed and in awe. The stupa itself is calm and peaceful, with a photo exhibit of some absolutely rare, private moments from Dr. Ambedkar's life. And sitting under the bodhi tree is an experience in itself.

Deekshabhoomi has beautiful stupa surrounded by manicured gardens, commemorating the conversion of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's convertion to Buddhism at this place in 1956. Inside the stupa, there is a peaceful statue of Lord Buddha at the centre and large space to meditate with several pillars. There is also exhibition showing important images from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar's life. Entry is free.

It is well constructed but stinks since people who visit there do not wear clean socks . it is a cultural problem of the community . Good to see once
