“Hotel Fine. Food not good!”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

Food was so bad, and then they send you a survey that takes ages to complete and they don't even give you a personal reply. Not a happy customer!

Room Tip: Rooms are good just wouldn't eat there again.

We chose this hotel for an overnight stay before starting the West Highland Way. The gentleman on reception was very professional but also cheerful and chatty and was a welcome sight on a wet and dreary day.
Hotel is very clean and functional, everything you expect from a Premier Inn. As usual not enough coffee sachets in the room (only two so once you have a drink on arrival there's no more unless you like tea/hot chocolate), but this is easily rectified by visiting reception and obtaining more.
Side near road is a little noisy and the planes overhead can be disturbing.
Acceptable Beefeater restuarant next door.

Room Tip: Request car park side as it's away from the road

Spent three nights in May. Paid about £60/night because I booked at last minute. You can get a room cheaper if you book well in advance.

Reception was pleasant and welcoming. We asked to change our allocated room away from the road and this was done immediately with no fuss. (The road noise isn't bad, but the car park side is better.)

Rooms are what you expect from a budget hotel. Nothing to excite or complain about. Beds were a little hard for my liking.
There's a half hour of free wi-fi per day available and that was useful just to check emails. The receptionist kindly printed one off for me. Paid wi-fi is cheap at £3 a day.
Catering is in the Beefeater next door. Haven't been in one of these for years and found the staff friendly. The food was fine and reasonably priced. The hotel provides a cheap meal deal voucher but it isn't a particularly great deal. The standard menu is fine.

All in all a good experience. Everything was hassle free and the town of Milngavie with shops, restraurants etc is 5 mins walk away. It's worth a visit, even if you are not planning to walk the West Highland Way which is the reason most people visit the town and hotel

Room Tip: Car park side is quieter than road side.

A comfortable and easily accessible reasonably priced hotel not far from the start of the West Highland Way Walk where you will get a great nights sleep and good breakfast, can suffer a little noise from aircraft landing at Glasgow Airport

You know exactly what you get with a Premier Inn but this one seemed just that little better, maybe it's because they are used to a large through put of walkers. Great nights sleep in comfy bed & clean room. Beefeater restaurant next door did us proud with steak and salmon. Receptionist offered to take a ore walk photo on the morning we departed. Only a short 10min walk into centre if Milngavie for start of WHW.
