Pros - the staff are very polite and attentive. The drinks are generous and plentiful. The 21 bus takes you to the airport for 2.5 Euros each. The 25 bus to Palma is only 1.5 Euro and Palma is well worth a visit. The cakes are good.
Cons - the place is pretty dated and has limped over from the 1980s I would say. Bits of it are just worn out. The food was generally just about OK, but on some nights it was just poor with inedible fatty meats. One night I just had chips and bread.
The TV only shows one british channel which is Sky News. As said before, they have wifi at 5E per day, or I think 15E per week, which would have been fine, but it only works in the lobby, no access from our bedroom.
We thought that as it was 3 star it would be OK because it is a Riu, but it was disappointing and is probably 2 or 3 years overdue for a refurbishment. I think we shall not book a hotel less than a 4 star from now on.

We were impressed with the hotel. It was spotlessly clean and we had a very good room, with a sea view. We arrived at the end of February, just after a period of cold rain, so the room was a bit chilly. Upon telling the reception staff, they immediately gave us a small fan heater and an extra blanket, which resolved the problem.

We found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. The menu was a little limited and, as the majority of guests were German, featured pork quite a lot - well, every day to be honest - but all the food was well prepared and some of it unusual. I have never had Fried Milk before. It was a little bland but the chef cured that with a healthy dose of Triple Sec and Rum.

We also noticed that some of the German guests have an odd sense of humour. We entered a lift, just after a group of giggling Germans left, to be met with a horrendous, eggy pong - Let's face it, farting in a lift is just wrong, on so many levels!

My husband and I have just returned from a week here. Excellent value, pleasant room with balcony overlooking the two outdoor pools. It was sunny and warm enough to lounge round them first few days (though no-one actually in them). Staff all extrememly friendly and obliging. It seemed there was just us and one other couple who were English, all the other guests being German.

Good buffet meals - plenty of choice. Two sittings and ours was 7pm. Counters began to be cleared of food by the staff well before 8, so we learnt to go in no later than 5 past 7 unless we wanted to rush the meal.

Close to sea and lovely flat prom - strolled miles in both directions. Bus to Palma close by.

Room Tip: We were on the second floor but all floors were laid out the same. Four lifts each holding 6 person...

Stayed here august 2012 with mixed family group including a toddler and young baby. Hotel staff lovely very accommodating and amenable. All inclusive great value for money too. Rooms altho spotlessly clean quite dated, no aircon just fans meant uncomfortable nights, not so good esp for little ones. Also no tea/coffee facilities or fridge in room. Hotel is largely German and many young 18-30 age group but we didnt find this an issue, hotel entertainer kept little ones busy with good activities programme and the 18-30s kept to other pool. 2 pieces of advice: hotel is few yards from an enormous beer hall, noise from here is horrendous, exacerbated by need to keep windows open bcause no aircon! So either bring ear plugs or take yourself down an join in! Secondly, the lift ! we all got trapped in the lift doors at sum point including the 3 yr old an baby in her buggy. I ended up severly bruised arm and did complain to reception twice that the lift doors closed too quickly. If possible use the stairs! Overall though good value and clean well maintained hotel, would probably revisit altho maybe earlier or later in season wen cooler.

This is probably a great hotel, but not during July or August. Playa de Palma is a relocated Munich beer festival during the summer months with 90,000 drunk youths singing and yelling from 7pm to 7 am.
Majorca is lovely and we will be returning soon, but not to this area. The hotel is tired and rooms quite basic, nothing breakable so no glasses or tea and coffee making facilities. Television only has 1 English channel and lots of german ones. Air conditioning is a fan which is just adequate but noisy( no way you could open the windows at night). Food is quite good, lots of variety, buffet replenished frequently with freshly cooked food supplemented by great salads.
The main problem is the noise at night, we took ear plugs but really they only took the edge off the noise. German boys and the occasional girl singing, shouting and moving furniture all night made sleep impossible. Staff offered to move us but as 800 of the 900 hotel guests were there to join the drinking fun there was nowhere in the hotel that was quiet .
Staff were charming and hardworking but seemed resigned to coping as best they could.

Room Tip: Stay out of summer season.

No AC on rooms with 40c is something of last century. It's impossible to have a good night sleep.
Found 2 cockroach on the eating area.
The staff keeps annoying you about the exact meal time and the table you need to sit in.
Poor cleaning on the bar areas. The smell is incredible.
The food is always the same. After 3 days your sick of it.
I'll never get back to this hotel and have only bad recommendations about it.

If you want to have a group of young german guys doing a party in your room, please go to this hotel.
And if you complain at the reception, they just tell you that is normal because the hotel is full of teenagers, who drink too much. Unbelivable!

Conclusion: 3 horrible nights.
