I have stayed at this hotel before on a few occasions because I like the location and the weather there.
the hotel is very basic but has everything that you need, the place is immaculately cleaned and maintained.
we decided to go self catering and I think that this is the best choice especially with the excellent la bamba restaurant at the end of the road no more than a 50 yard walk.
however if you want to be close to the action you will have to take a cab for 3 euros into the town.
perfect for a quick summer break with no frills.

Room Tip: ask for a pool view

My boyfriend and I have just returned from an all inclusive stay here.
Nice quiet location.
5 mins walk from the old town.
The rooms were basic but clean.
Nice room view
Reception staff, bar staff and cleaners were all friendly and helpful.

Food was disgusting! Gave it a chance for a couple of days but had to go self catering for the rest of the holiday and I am not a fussy eater.
Even the salad tasted awful it was that bad so I really wouldnt recommend it.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the topfloor

This is the second time we have stayed here. The place hadn't changed much in the 18 months but it was clean and tidy. The all inclusive food was a bit hit and miss and a bit repetitive but in general was OK. Like other reviews have said it is situated up a big hill near the old town. There are always plenty of taxis about and never seem to cost more than €5. Just ask at reception and they will call a taxi for you. The bar has San Miguel on draught which is always a bonus, the spirits are local and not the best but drinkable! You get the usual entertainment - bird show, reptile show, bingo. Not really our thing so we had pre-drinks at the bar then went down to the strip. They could do with better chairs by the bar, the current ones have seen better days. Overall an enjoyable stay.

We have just come back from Blue Sea Los Fiscos, 24th May 2013. We had a nice room on the third floor, it was a one bedroom apartment even though we were All Inclusive, so it was nice to have the space and also it had a little kitchenette, the apartment was clean and comfortable. It was accessed by a series of steps and then a spiral staircase. It did have a balcony with a sea view but none of the balconies are private, they have very small walls and join on to one another. The food was acceptable, usually there was something to choose. The focus of the hotel is around the pool, which is icy cold, but I imagine it will warm up as the weather gets warmer. There is one bar in the hotel which is at the pool with a small entertainment room running off it. All drinks are in plastic cups, very small plastic cups. There is only ever one bar person, who told us that from the 1st June there is a permanent queue, up to 20 minutes and you can only get two drinks at a time. Personally I would not find this acceptable as I imagine you would just be in a queue for drinks all night. The entertainment is low key, a couple of bird shows a week, a karaoke, bingo nightly and a quiz. The bar shuts promptly at 11. There is not the usual All Inclusive things like snacks and ice cream for the kids. The TV in the room has to be paid for, but who goes away to watch TV, also the wifi has to be paid for. There are a lot of steps in the complex and it is also situated at the top of a very steep hill. We walked into the town and got a taxi back, I was not aware of anyone who walked back, a taxi was 2.60E . We hired a car on the second day as we knew we would be stuck in the complex without one. Overall we had a great holiday, but Los Fiscos is NOT 4 Star, I do not know what they could base 4 star on, I have been in better 2 Star, but like I said the rooms are clean and comfortable and the complex looks to be well maintained, staff are friendly and welcoming.

Room Tip: Ask for a ground floor if you have mobility difficulties and also if you have a baby buggy

My partner and I have just come back from Los Fiscos hotel.
On our arrival the reception staff were very friendly. first impressions of our room was good, everywhere was clean and nice white fresh towels. During the week the towels were changed twice but the hand towels were replaced by old bleached salon towels, the bed sheets weren't changed at all during our stay, this is our only complaint. The view from our apartment was pleasurable.
We went all inclusive for the first time and was really impressed by the variety of food and the service.
The hotel was always kept very clean, and because of the time of year it was very quiet which was lovely.
We would recommend this place to anyone.

I have just come back from an amazing weekend in Puerto Del Carmen. We went to support my borther in the Ironman constest, he was amazing and completed the course in 11 hours 10 mins. We chose the hotel as we were keeping costs down and wanted the all inclusive option in the main. The deal is good in terms of food choices. The red wine (my favourite) us the best I have had on a cheap all inclusive holiday so they win points for this. Of course you need to have deposit money available for the safe 10 euros with i believe a 4 euro a day charge ( we were only there for 3 nights) deposit for the Iron and if you were trying to keep the baggage allowance down 10 euro deposit with a daily charge of 5 euro for swimming towels. The hotel is in a nice quiet area though the main resort is within walking distance once you have your barings. We did choose taxi's on a few occassions, mainly as we were rushing to meet my brother at various points during our stay. The taxis arrive almost immediately and cost around 3.55 euros. I would recommend this hotel as the staff are amazing the wine was better than other places and the apartments are large and include a self catering area as this is an option it is not exclusively all inclusive. I would also recommend going to see the Ironman next year, it was fantastic and a real buzz on the strip from early morning until early morning :)
