We stayed for 2 weeks from 01/08/13 to 15/08/13. Villa beautiful, very clean with all mod cons. In an excellent location. Washing machine, dishwasher and barbeque all very useful. Caroline was lovely and helped us when we needed to speak to the car rental company. Do not book a taxi transfer with Thomas Cooks as it cost us £85 when we could have booked a taxi at the airport for just 4 euros each way. The only criticism is there is no air conditioning and the nights were unbearably hot and also the beds were uncomfortable as the mattresses were very hard.

The maid came in twice a week to clean and change the bedding and the pool was cleaned once a week. We would definitely stay again but probably earlier in the year when it would be a little cooler.

Taxis are cheap and bus stop 5 mins walk away which will get you anywhere on the island.

We would definitely recommend.

Had a lovely time at the very nicely kitted out Villa Salinas.
Booked with Thomas Cook using their Villa style brochure. Everything exactly as described.
Spacious 2 bedroomed villa with 2 bathrooms with a very nice little pool in the patio area.
Only tiny criticism is the villa we were in was overlooked by the Lanzarote Sol hotel, and those poor people would have been treated to my ample proportions wallowing about in the pool with my 10 year old daughter, but that was there problem not mine.
Also although Carolina the manager of the site was very helpful and there was a lovely little welcome pack left for our arrival which was a very nice touch, the villas are not very well signposted and the directions were a bit confusing. We arrived after Carolina had left for the day 1pm and thanks to Thomas Cook not having informed us of this, or what the actual number of our villa was, we would have been left high and dry on our first night. Luckily the very nice maid was still cleaning out a villa, and she phoned Carolina and got us sorted, all without much english but lots of smiles and pantomime.
After that we never experienced another problem and had a lovely relaxing stay and a great time visiting most of the sites.
While outside the resorts, Lanzarotes, unrelenting volcanic landscape can get a bit tiring, but all the sites we visited were lovely, cool and clean. Carolina was also able to point us in the direction of sites and local festivals that most tourists don't know about, like Blanca Noche in Teguise which was a great night out including an outside music festival, impromptu fashion parades and a free ride on a cute little road train all around Teguise in the moonlight.

All in all a lovely time in a lovely place,

My wife and I stayed at the Villas Salinas from 6th June - 20th June.
On arrival we were met by the Fantastic Carolina. What a Treasure she is!
Carolina is the most helpful person we have ever met. Anything you need or want to know
see Carolina.
The villas are located right next to the Sol Lanzarote Hotel.
We stayed in No 9 which is a 2 bedroom villa.
The villa has everything you would wish for and more.
Spotlessly clean. There is a twin bedroom and a double bedroom, a fully equiped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a large lounge.
Outside is a large pool with sunbeds and parasols, table and chairs and a barbeque.
There is a shopping centre 4-5 minutes walk with 2 good supermarkets and plenty of good restaurants and bars.
We would recommend La Brisas for breakfast. 3 euros for a great meal. We also had quite a few evening meals here. Excellent value and brilliant staff.
To get to the shopping centre turn left on leaving the villas then left again after about 10 metres.
This takes you down a path in front of the Sol Lanzarote Hotel straight to the shopping centre.
On leaving the villas if you turn left and walk about 40 metres you will come to a road crossing.
Cross here and go left. This takes you to the beach.
When you get to the bottom of this road turn right and after about 100 metres you will come to the Aussie Bar. Great food and drink.
Carry on about another 200 metres and you will come to Picasso`s Bar. This is run by a great Scottish couple. The Sunday Roasts here are second to none. The bar is right opposite a round tower on the beach.Great for photos.
There is a bus stop over the road island outside the villas. Left Hand side for Puerto Del Carmen
only 1.30 Euro to there. You can also catch the bus to Playa Blanca from here.
Overall we would give the Villas Salinas and Matagorda 11 out of 10.

We stayed here for Christmas it was excellent, Carolina was so helpful and the villa was well equiped with everything we could need, we didnt use the dishwasher or washing machine as it was only 2 of us there, we are hoping to take along family next time. We have praised the villa very highly to our friends and family, this was our 2nd time in Lanzarote having stayed a short distant away from the villa last year, but def going to stay here again Carolina already knows we are coming back during 2013. It was the best holiday we have had. Make sure when being picked up from airport the driver knows where to go, unlike ours he didnt have a clue where we were staying and after an hour he dropped us quite away from villas we had to ask a hotel for directions.

i stayed in villa salinas no.13 in december, on arrival it was spotless, spacious and nice outside area. pool was clean but not heated but would be no problem in summer and sunchairs and shower outside were in good condition. rooms were nice with big wardrobe and all beds are good exept for the double in main bedroom which was tiny and uncomfortable.very nice bathroom (great shower) and kitchen was just perfect. the couches were comfy and t.v was good exepy for only 4 channels and their is also dvd player. overall a very good stay with every thing stated on websites and it is a good location about 3 mins walk from matagorda + caroline was brillant and would do anything for you!

Stayed at Villas Salinas from 2nd to 16th August with husband and children aged 5 & 7. Our villa was very clean and well equipped, on arrival they had the basics ready for us i.e bread, milk, tea, ham, cheese and a few other items. Carolina on reception was so fantastic, very helpful and would go out of her way to help us. The pool was always kept clean, towels and fresh linen were provided twice a week. The shops and restaurants were very close by and served lovely food. Excellent Mexican restaurant nearby which all of us fussy eaters enjoyed! On some nights we enjoyed the mini disco for kids at Sol Lanzarote, but was always so nice to be back in our own private and quiet villa. Beach was lovely and clean. Really enjoyed all the excursions too but only managed to do excursions in the south i.e volcano, Papagayo. Best Holiday we have ever had!!!
