Riviera Park Apartments
Reviewed July 5, 2012

We have just come back from riviera park and it wasn't what I expected! It was better, nothing like the pictures on here, it has recently been decorated and got new sofas! The rooms was huge plenty of space for our family! The beds was really comfortable! The lady in the bar and security are good! We got maid service 2 times a week with bedding and towel change. There was a sweeping brush which was handy to sweep. The drinking glasses are an issue but we bought some large plastic ones for 0.60 at the spar just at the end of the road! The pool was cold on the last couple of days of our stay which our children found too cold. These are in a ideal location just a short walk to the beach front. I can't wait to book my next stay at these apartments!

We stayed here for two weeks. We fould the apartment very spacious and it was in a good location. However the aprtment could do with a coat of paint to freshen it up. We got fresh towels twice a week but we had a washing machine so you were able to wash them in between. Bed linen was also changed twice a week. The patio was also very big but the furniture would need to be sanded and stained. The airconditioning was excellent it was in the two bedrooms and in the sitting/dinning room. The only real complaint was we paid for a extra night cause our flight was late on the last evening but an aprtment was sold so we had to move to another apartment. This other apartment was very run down not half a nice as our original apartment. It looked like it had a mold problem and the walls were in need of alot of work. The doors and fitting were in bad condition. The airconditioning in the second apartment was also crap.

Don't get me wrong I would stay here again just not in the second apartment. Also I agree with the other reviews the girl in the bar was lovely.

Room Tip: My advise to ask for up to date pictures of the actual apartment you are going to rent first just to...

we stayed at the Riviera Park in 2010 and loved it. went back in June this year and noticed some changes.
the Towels weren't great, we only saw the cleaners once in the week, then they left us clean towels but also left the used ones. The apartments need a bit of loving eg new curtains, and more equipment we had no sweeping brush in ours. also the walls around the pool and surrounding the apartments themselves could do with a coat of paint.

on the bright side I would go back again and the lady in the bar could not have been more helpful

These apartments are in need of some TLC. They are very good size wise, however they are in need of refurbishment. Main concern was standard of hygiene, which was no where near what I would expect. The brochure states maids 5 times a week, however we got 2 visits for about 5-7 minutes each time?
That being said the facilities within the apartments are adequate for a self catering stay.
We did have breakfast in the apartments most mornings, but would eat out for lunch/dinner.
The pool bar is very good and Lorraine who manages it is very friendly and does provide a good service, better than most pool bars. She even prepared a meal for us one night and brought to our apartment plated and with cutlery and condiments.
The pool was very cold the first 3 days, however someone must have complained as the remaining time of our stay it was warmer.
Overall it is a slightly better than average facility, well placed and quite, however with a little better management and thought these could easily be a 4*.

Room Tip: If you require extra space take a ground floor apartment, however upper levels are adequate for fami...

Stayed at the Riviera Park at the end of may start of june and we found the Apartments very spacious indeed and large king size bed , Aircon in front room and bedrooms , only a few minutes to the shops and bars and beach with no real hills at all , overall we would go back there...The need to supply more cutlery and glasses but this is the only negative if we had one!!!

The ground floor apartment and terrace was probably the largest we have ever stayed in.
What lets this place down is the level of cleanliness.
The info pack states that the apartments are cleaned 3 times a week, towels changed once.
However, we didn't receive a single visit from the cleaners during the entire week!
Little can be done about the black dust blown under the doors, but the stained bathroom floor is unforgivable.
With a thorough clean and new patio furniture, these apartments could be so much better.

We stayed in Riviera park at end of April, in apartment 7b and were very pleased with it. It was on the ground floor and large balcony with plenty of shade which is definitley needed. The beds were very comfortable and sofa also comfortable. The only thing i would say is that some extra glasses and kitchen equipment would have been good. There is a security guard at night from 8pm to 5am which is reassuring. I rarely saw reception open. The pool bar was open but the times seemed to vary. When we were there the complex was very quiet, but there is alot of space around pool and kids pool so im sure even in high season there would be loads of space. The shop was 2 mins away and restaurants 10 min walk awy, old town at least 20min walk but taxi less than 3 euros. Reading other reviews i think quality of apartment might depend on if you are renting from a privately owned one or company one, but maybe not. Anyway apartment 7b excellent

Room Tip: apartment 6b or 7b on ground floor, larger baconies and plenty of shade
