stayed here for a week in november. upgraded from a standard room to a superior one. we got a microwave duvets and a coffee maker. we were on the 1st floor no trouble with ants. never saw any mice or cats in the complex. staff friendly maids did a great job, good value for money food served in the bar. the tv only has 3 channels itv sky news and cbs drama so not worth paying for it.
only down side was that we had a prowler on our balcony at 6.30am 1 morning tapping on the door(the bacony is reached by steps leading up from the ground floor of the complex) reported it to a member of staff but he didnt seem to bothered. the complex has a security man on site from 8pm till 6am. he does not speak english so he cant help you. u get what u pay for its clean and tidy and only 5 mins walk to the town centre

Room Tip: ask for a superior room u get microwave coffee maker and duvets instead of sheets

Four lads went for a winter holiday to pdc, we go to canaries most winters, we are aged between 29-34, we wanted clean tidy well located apartments, these apts did that, only downside was pool was freezing! Not the best time to go away for drinking etc as most places are closed but we had a laugh at the big apple and underground bar. Pdc is nice on the front where it looks as if money has been spent on it. Lots of places to eat including cafe la ola which is great which is next to the casino. Average meal is about 10e for say fajitas, pizzas are around 8e, drinks and breakfast are good price, beers around 2e and large brekfast around 2e aswell.

Stayed at these fantastic apartments first week of October. A 50th birthday treat for Hubby. The apartments are (not wishing to sound like a parrot!) basic but spotlessly clean, comfortable, all you need, as mentioned before if you want ponsy 5 star then pay 5 star prices. The atmosphere around the apartments is so relaxed, no stupid rules and regulations printed like you get in most hotels.

The Pool bar - run by Rob and Deb, is fantastic, a meeting place for ex-pats it seems, and yes Gary the maintenance man does take his breaks there but so what? We met some fabulous people here, real genuine nice people, so if you do not want to mix with happy, friendly peeps, stay somewhere else - simples !!

The bar does fab snacks and burgers, we had breakfast and lunch here and wondered down to the main strip in the evenings (food stops at 7pm - understandable really as Deb works her socks off). Drinks were very reasonable - happy hour as well. You can also purchase water at the bar, which is very handy - dont really want to be lugging heavy water from the supermarket in the heat we experienced. And they will change the tv over to X-factor if you want!

Location wise its perfect a three minute walk to various large supermarkets, and restaurants, and then to the main strip. There is really no need to cook as the prices are really cheap, and the food is of a good standard. We ate mostly at the Mucky Duck, they do a chefs special menu in which you can have a starter and main course for 6.25 Euros, the menu changes daily too. Also have to mention the "Codfather" fish n chip restaurant, the best chips I have ever tasted, well worth a visit. Another place was Arthurs - you can purchase 1 main course and get one free, all homemade food very good indeed.

Also have to say do not book coach transfers you can get a taxi from the airport for around 12-14E. And I think they have moved the coach park in the airport - as we saw loads of people looking for their transfer coaches and walking quite a way to find them.

We hired the tv remote, (9E for the week - 10E deposit) but didnt use it much, channel wise you had itv1, cbs drama, channel 5 and of course sky news. The lady in reception was very nice and helpful, reception opens from 8am to 1pm and opens again at 5pm to 8pm, dont worry if arrive outside these hours as she leaves the keys with the bar staff.

Already planning to return next year - cant wait.

nice basic complex,Really quiet and relaxing.I never slept so well as i did on those 2 wks. kept spotlessly clean by maintenance guys. didnt see one bug or roach the whole 2 wks. rooms are spacious and have all you need if like me you use your apt for washing dressing and sleeping. The towels were changed regularly but the cleaners werent very enthusiastic, the place could do with a good steam clean tbh.but on the surface it looks good.I always bleach my surfaces, crockery and cutlery before use no matter where i stay,(used t work in hotel,U all should, trust me) we brought an iron but shouldnt have bothered, u can hire one fr e5 for wk if needed. nice breeze blows through the apt wen windows and doors are open so hiring a fan is a waste of money, even though it was seriously hot while we were there.besides there is NO plug socket in the bedroom??? The terraces on ground floor apts are huge.I loved our big balcony upstairs, even with the patio set theres still room to sunbathe on there if u want, which we had to as complex was completely booked while we were there and by the time i surfaced there wasnt a hope of getting a sunbed most days as towels were reserving a lot of them even though as in all complexes it says this isnt allowed.but as i said, i wasnt exactly up with the birds so no ones fault but my own :) pool bar is grand, lovely morning staff, breakfasts and BBQ was delicious, all reasonably priced. Only thing is, going by the reviews on here i was expecting a bit more from it and certainly from Lee, who i found to be quite hit and miss and even rude at times, and this defintley put me off drinking there, tho he always had a smile and big booming voice for the staff who drink there everyday (not to the detriment of their work, i must add as i said earlier the keep the complex spotless) . The opening times depends on what time the staff stay till.if they go at 8,it closes at 8.05. Dont expect X factor or Big Brother because they say whats on and whats not,I was there they refused two kids who asked for 1st nights xfactor.
My 1st time to lanzarote and I loved it.Its such a laid back and relaxing spot, really casual and heres some stunning views even when your just going for your paper. And that beautiful breeze alone will bring me back,I will definitly return. Hope too see a lot more of it next time.
Food wise if the price looks too good to be true, it usually is. Especially where breakfasts is concerned. Beside the casino is the Golden Cocktail, Best cocktails iv ever had, seriously.well worth the price for the big bowl they come in :) but their (and everwheres) E2.50 breakfast should be served with 2 straws.one for your juice and one for your plate for the grease, everything is done in the deep fat fryer. if a tasteless heart attack on a plate is your thing ,go for it.I thought that was the worst thing i ever tasted until we went to Cafe Ola beside it for a meal one night, the decor is beautiful and its full of staff looking very important & pleased with themselves. Do not let this fool you as it did me.Waited 15 mins for our waters,i shoulve known it would get worse after that. The thai green rice wen it came was burned and the small bit i did eat had me so ill the nx day, i had to send my b/f to the chemist twice. They knew they served us crap and avoided all eye contact one they served it up.Avoid at all costs il say no more. Our saviour was IL CANTINA TEX MEX across the road. we ended up eating there for lunch and dinner many times.sometimes we popped in just for their AMAZING frozen strawberry margaritas which i fell in love with :) great variety of food, good portions, service excellent, cant recommend highly enough. New World chinese was good too, crispy duck pancakes were yum.
Theres the usual nightlife youl find in most resorts, and the usual annoying reps, but once you walk on the beach side of the strip they are easily avoided and i always find a friendly no thank you does the trick. The centro commercial is WILD, We were offered everything, and i mean EVERYTHING! it is kinda hidden from view from the strip and definitly more suited to the younger up all nighters. The old town bout a 30 min walk which is quite pleasant, has some nice relaxing bars without the hustle an bustle of the strip. Inga the swedish bar owner in one of the squares bars was great company.
I was surprised at the great value on offer for everything, food, drinks and necessities. I wouldnt bring towels or suncream with me next time as they are so cheap over there it be a waste of luggage weight (tho ill never fly with 15k ryan air again if i can help it). Think Iv covered everything ,give me a shout if not Happy holidays :)

Room Tip: We were above the bar with no problems , i always ask for top floor but would have no problem stayin...

Just spent two weeks at Los Gracioseros, rooms basic but very clean.Room service every 2 days, need to get some new towels though. Staff friendly and helpful.Great location for beach, bars and restaurants.Just two small gripes. We had a room near reception and it was quite noisy at night with taxi's, buses pulling up frequently so had to keep window closed to keep noise out. Visited the pool at beginning of our holiday but on the 3rd day a lot of families with kids arrived and the pool was noisy and kids not very well behaved, so we didn,t use pool or bar again.Would consider staying here again as it was extremely good value for the money we paid.
Get a Taxi from the airport, we paid £25 for bus transfers with our deal, taxi to and from Airport about 12 euros! and you dont have to hang about waiting for the bus and dropping others off at various hotels.

Just returned after 2 wks and on the whole had a great time. 2nd time to PDC but 1st time in these apts. Apts are clean an spacious with more than enough storage. Large fridge, kettle, toaster & safes/fans/tv are available for rent at reasonable prices. Handy Spar supermarket just a couple of mins walk away for all your needs. Apts cleaned every other day and towels and sheets changed twice a week. Only gripe here is that the towels need replacing - very old, worn and threadbare. Lovely pool but very deep even in the shallow end! Nice friendly staff in both reception and the pool bar. Nice food and cheap beer.

Our only complaint would be regarding the 2 large families with children (at seperate times) who took over the complex, splashing & jumping in the pool for hours and squirting anyone nearby with water guns, taking over the pool table and shouting and swearing at the top of their voices constantly. This did completely spoil a couple of days round the pool for us and we feel the staff should have considered the other residents (some of whom were much older than us) and asked them to tone down their language and turn down the volume! I'd like to point out that we have nothing against children as long as they are controlled and not just left to run riot whilst parents just drink all day long. I think maybe the staff are too nice and don't want any confrontation but sometimes a gentle word is needed.

Other than that we had a great holiday in PDC and will return. Great bars, great live music, good restaurants, fab waether and great beach.

PS. Don't bother with transfers from airport - just get a taxi - 12 - 14 euros and just 10 minutes ride. Easy peasy!!
