“good place to stay in”
Reviewed October 31, 2013

I am just back from a weeks stay here from the 19-26 october and over all, happy with my stay as for october there was amazing weather everyday with 25 degress.
The rooms have a good size sitting room, kitchen with lounge area, balcony, and clean bath room and twin bed room. the pool area is spacious with plenty of loungers and the pool itself is a nice size, not too small either- there is also a safe in the room that can be rented out for the week for just 13 euro from the reception.
there is also a nice bar area past the reception that do drinks and snacks all day with plenty of seating around this area , even to just sit down and relax on the couch's.
the hotel itself and the surrounding area is quite as I didnt have any problems with noise or messing going on - even though i did go in october, the aparthotel was still busy for this time of the year so that was good, however there is a good few steep steps leading up the front door of the reception, but it also has lifts and smooth walk ways for wheelchair friendly.
once outside the aparthotel, the shopping centre/retail outlet is just 5 minutes walk away, and another 2 minutes walk away to the right of the shopping centre is the old side of lanzarote which was the port with some boats, bars and lovely restaurants but it is a bit quite on this side to be honest.
The new side of lanzarote is just another 2 minutes walk, left of the shopping centre which consists of the beautiful beach, bars, restaurants, shops etc and the long stretch beside the beach to take a nice long walk - there is enough food store shops, a couple of pubs and a few restaurants around the area of aparthotel.
staff aswell were nice and general, overall I would stay here again and was happy with my stay and everything was walking distance to where ever you wanted to go.

this is our 7th year running at lanzarote and yes you could say we love it but it is the first year we have stayed at this hotel the bedrooms are ok for standard but could do with a coat of paint we found the beds very uncomfortable had a lot of sleepless nights the reception was good they were always to hand if you needed anything they booked us a taxi for 5 people and it was bang on time the complex itself was fab very clean very tidy every morning there were plenty of sunbeds to hand the grandchildren were in the pool every day the only thing I didn't like was the hotel allowing people to take glasses onto the pool side I know there wasn't any accidents but still don't like to see glasses on the poolside we stayed at these apartments from the 3rd oct 2013 till the 17th oct 2013 we would return to this hotel as we had an excellent time here only a 10 min walk to the sea front very clean and tidy would not book the costa teguise market through the hotel as they were charging 12 euro as if you booked with last minute travel it was only 4 euro very good value. we also went back to ranchos texas park country and western night it is a fab night and the staff are fantastic they also do a fantastic job theres a lady called ma crumpet and she makes the childrens night she is absolutely great the food is fab and so are the drinks we will be going back next year again as we have never had a bad holiday in lanzarote would recommend it to anyone from Sheffield south yorkshire

We stayed bed and breakfast in a two bedroomed apartment from 11 to 19th october with our 22 yr old son. The apartments are basic but clean with cooking facilities, microwave etc. There is a T.V which has certain channels free of charge, while you can subscribe to other channels either daily or weekly if you want to..The safe costs 13 euros per week to hire if required.
We were in room 126, and sleep quality could be hampered if you are a light sleeper as there is a road adjacent to bedrooms on that side of the hotel. It didnt bother us though.
The pool area is clean with plenty of sunbeds available. The pool bar/ cafe is only a few feet away ( prices quite reasonable too ). There is a pool table ( 1 euro ) close to the pool area.
The breakfast is basic if you are looking for something a little different . ( limited cold meat and cereals ) But if you want a cooked english breakfast, then you could have that every morning if you prefer. Fruit juice tastes like squash and isnt great.

What really shines at this hotel is how helpful and friendly the staff are. They are great. My wife was struggling with the free wi-fi, but reception staff were only too happy to help.

There are several supermarkets nearby. The old and new town are about a 15 minute walk away. The walk back is uphill, so you may prefer to get a taxi which will cost about 4 euros.

The resort is fabulous. Plenty of places to shop and dine. The beach is lovely. The weather was fantastic. A great time and a well earned rest was had by all.

Room Tip: Try for a room on the left hand side as you come out of the reception area. Probably a lot quieter.

This hotel is in a good location, walking distance from old and new town. Very clean and well maintained. We had no trouble finding a sun lounger by the pool each day but we stayed here mid-September so it was probably queiter than other times. Would definitely return. I would say there is a slight ant problem, but thats common in most accommodations. Just dont leave any food lying around worktops etc. Overall a very pleasant stay

Puerto Carmen apart hotel

When: OCT 5 TH TO OCT 12TH 2013

Despite some bad reviews that I read I would like to say we had an excellent time here at Puerto Carmen apart hotel. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and were checked in fast and quickly. Quite a few from our bus stayed at this hotel. The weather was fab for the week and would go back in a flash. It is a very central location we stayed in room 170 on ground floor and close to the pool. Do take a safe for your room its 15euro and is very cheap. Now some do and don’ts to bear in mind.

DO go to the Sunday market in costa tequise. Book your ticket in reception it is 12 euro per person. Don’t take a taxi too expensive at 30 euro. Bus leaves at 9 and 10 am returns at 1 and 2pm.its the biggest market on the island with lots to do and see and when it gets hot cool down with a 1 euro beer.
Do go on a trip to and the beautiful playa blaca. Its 35 km away. The bus run from the biofesta shopping centre on the hour costs 2 euro 70 each way and its bus number 61 each way. Coming back please take bus 61 from the bus depot .It takes close to 45 mins and views on the coast is breath taking Wednesday is best day to go as the weekly market is on. Food and drink very cheap. Beer 1euro sandwidge 2euro. For people who hire car petrol is 1.08 per litre while diesel is 1.18.
In hotel TV for room a rip off at 5 euro per day. You get bbc world free but have pay for the rest which are all free sat channels. Also you get one hour free Wi-Fi per day in this complex in reception. Go to Wi-Fi settings and click on reception and click enter and you are connected.
Do go to spar shop for food it’s cheaper than 24 hour supermarket and hiper dino. Water is 1 euro for 5 litres and you will use lots over a week.
Cheapest breakfast is 2 euro 50 from hi café down in the old town a short walk away you won’t find cheaper.
As for bars kasbar has beer Amstel for 1.50 per pint and magniers for 2.80. the new Irish pub slainte should be avoided at all costs its expensive and very few people were in there which is never a good sight.

Hope the above info was useful have a great trip I did!!!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: get room 170 it by the pool

We have just returned from a fab holiday here!!!
After reading some of the negative comments, i was dreading this holiday.....i needn't have worried.

We went with family and got two rooms next to each other 225 and 226 so my little boy could go into there room whenever he wanted to see his grandparents.

The room was cleaned daily
Pool and grounds are very well kept
Ideal location for new and old town/harbour
There is a lot of steps into reception but also a lift

You do not have to pay to use the microwave as someone mentioned and a few of the tv channels are free, but we didn't go on hol to watch tv.

My 4yr old loved it!!

If you want 5* then pay 5* prices!

We would definitely go back
