We were looking forward for a holiday close to the sea and were unsure about the booking, as it´s getting difficult to find accommodation really close to the beach.

But, we found the place!

One can just go for an early morning walk to the beach straight from bed.
Decoration is not great, but it is quite and relaxing and a short walk to the town centre: perfect for us.

We have just arrived back from lanzarote staying in the La Morana apartments in puerto del carmen. It was a horrible mistake I am writing this to warn anyone with prams or wheelchairs never to attempt this place. These apartments were situated on a hill nicknamed Cardiac hill as we later found out. Myself and my husband went with our two year old we are quiet fit but even still we were exhausted by the time we got home each day and when you got to the bar you got watered down drinks. The apartments were not airconditioned and mediocre basic to say the least. we booked this with budget in dublin for two weeks stay. I complained to the rep and he said if we were to move it would cost us approx 400 euro to change to apartments or 800 euros to change to a hotel. I was disgusted after seven nights i couldnt take it any more so we went on the net and booked a week in playa blanca in a villa with james villas we were glad to pay for the villa it was the villa salar and was absolutely beautiful. so what could have ended up being the holiday from hell thats to jamesvillas it was great.

These are nice apartements in a great location, 2 minute walk to beach. About 10 minute walk to old town which has all the best restuarants. Our apartment didn't have air-con but still seemed to keep cool most of the time so didn't bother us too much. The pool is a bit small and quite alot of children so for couples who want a bit of quiet, this may not be the ideal place.
The apartment was quite big and cleaned regularly but a bit early most mornings! The cooking facitities are very limited, just 2 rings and no toaster but there is a microwave.
Overall the complex is well kept and the apartments are a good size in a convienient location.

My girlfriend and I recently returned from a 2 week stay at the Morana Apartments staying in apartment 217.

The location of the apartments is great. They are situated between the old town and the new end near the Fariones hotel & complex. It is just a short walk to the beach & all amenities. The only down side with the location is the extremely steep hill to the reception which was fine for us but if you have young kids it should be noted.

The apartment was nice, very spacious and clean. It consisted of a kitchen / living room, separate bedroom, bathroom and balcony. All the rooms were large and spacious.

The kitchen had a Sink, Twin Hob, Microwave, Kettle and Fridge. Toasters can be rented from reception for 10euro a week (a little steep in my opinion) and an iron can also be obtained from reception (free of charge).

The Living area had a Couch, Armchair, Side table, Coffee table, Storage unit and TV. The TV had very limited channels 2 of which were English language (CNN & Eurosport).

The Bathroom was clean with a large shower. It did smell on occasion and one night in particular it was extremely bad and affected the entire apartment.

The bedroom was nice with lots of storage space. It had two single beds which have to be pushed together for couples. Personally I found them very uncomfortable although my girlfriend thought they were fine.

The pool area was lovely. The roof terrace is excellent for sun bathing and has a fabulous view of beach and surrounding area. The pool side bar had lovely staff, the quality of food was excellent & prices were very reasonable. Unfortunately the pool itself was a bit of a let down it’s was clean but very small.

Cleaning services at the Morana are good although they do start very early. However it is a bit random and the cleaning staff tend to buzz and let themselves in right away so be prepared and don’t be caught in bed as I was on a few occasions.

There are no laundry facilities at the Morana for guests and when asked the reception staff were unable to point us in the direction of local facilities.

Apartments are not air conditioned and tend to get quite hot.

A courtesy room is available on your final day if required however it is quite grubby and does not meet the standards of the rest of the complex.

Overall we enjoyed our stay in Lanzarote and were happy with our stay in the Morana Apartments however our stay was marred by an incident on our last morning but we decided against reporting it. Overall though I would recommend these apartments and would stay again.

Just back from our stay at Morana, I really loved these apartments & complex, the apartments were very spacious, really clean. On arrivial we received a bottle of champagne in our apartment, it was such a lovely touch. The pool was big and very clean, the decking you see in the pictures with the ocean veiw is even nicer than the picture, the pool side bar was very good & very reasonable, burger & chip 4.50 euro.... there is a supermarket at the top of the hill whice is really great, the only negitive is the climb up the hill it is very steep, but if that wouldn't bother you, I really do recommened these apartment.
