“Best Hotel In Lanzarote”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

The hotel is in an ideal location. Right on the beach and across the road from shops and bars. Also ideally placed for tours and local buses. The accomodation is excellent and clean. The staff are all friendly. The lady on reception remembered us from our 1st visit last year. Ask for a room with a sea view, its worth the extra expense. The meals are varied and should suit all tastes. Would highly recommend staying here

Room Tip: sea view rooms are great

Our second year at this lovely hotel. We had a sea view room last year but none were available this year but we were offered a choice of rooms and were more than happy with the 1st room. Our only complaint was the new system that has been imposed over the ' sunbed bagging'. People were out sitting on them from 7.45am until 9.00 when there was then a mad rush to breakfast. Because of this parts of the pool area weren't getting cleaned very often.

Room Tip: We have never been disappointed @ most of the rooms have exactly the same facilities.

Stayed in Sept. excellent staff who always smile & say hello. Great breakfast that had us full for the day. We had the half board as only £70 extra for 2/52. Hardly ate out! Pool area is superb , see the photos. Need to be up early to get your sun lounger as they go quick. I'd got for 8, read a bit then breakfast. Small gym is a great addition for those that want to gkeep fit. Virtually on beach with great access to everywhere. Short hop from airport which you wouldn't know was there. Taxi ~€12 each way
Down points, rooms need an upgrade to TV but are otherwise great. Wifi in lobby only & is very slow but free.

Dear guests,

thank you for our great review on our hotel. We are delighted that you spent a fantastic holiday here.

One month ago we introduced a new norm. It prohibits to reserve sunbeds before 9 o'clock. We check the pool area daily from 8 - 9 o'clock and later on it is controlled by our lifeguard.

The internet sometimes is very slow due to the fact that a lot of clients are using it at the same time. But we are working on it!

We are looking forward to welcome you again at our hotel.

Kind regrads

I stayed in this hotel from the 22nd August to the 29th with my sister and my parents. We flew with Ryan air and booked hotel on Booking.com we opted to get a taxi from the airport which cost 15 Euro for the four of us which was great value.
HOTEL- is situated right next door to San Antonio Hotel. As said in all other reviews the location is next to none with the beach right on your back door step. There is a mini supermarket directly across from the main entrance to the hotel. There is another supermarket down on the right(2 mins) which has two nice little restaurants they service really lovely food with most lunches costing 4 euro's and all day breakfast for 3.90. A must is the ice cold pint of beer for 2 Euro!!!
ROOMS- we stayed in 1147 and 1151 which were large and extremely clean. they have a safe in each room that cost 15 euro a week and a deposit of 15 that you get back. the televsion had 4 english channels and has a fridge.
POOL- The pool has plenty of sunbeds and umbrella's i noticed that people do reserve sunbeds but the life guard removed them by 12am if people had not arrived which i thought was good. the hotel also offers very large blue towels that can be used at the pool/beach cost 10 euro deposit per person which you get back at end of your stay. you get the towels at reception and return each day. The pool has 70% salt water so it doesn't have that chemical smell or taste.
RECEPTION- i can not say enough about how amazing the girls on reception where especially caroline and reneta. nothing was a hassle from giving us an iron to finding out information regarding entertainment show. My parents experienced some cochroaches in their room and they immediately sorted it out and asked if they wanted to move. My parents opted to stay and arrived back to their room to a bottle of champagne. They even organised a appoitment with english speaking doctor for my mum (located very near hotel 3 mins)So a big thank you. The wifi is great in reception, they have a book borrow and swop area, a digital weighing scale for your suitcase and vast amount of information about the area.
ENTERTAINMENT- there was different shows and singers on each night from different acts that came into the hotel. I have to say that the in house entertainment must be mentioned as Ola was very friendly and i noticed she was very good with the kids. The man was brilliant too with constantly having different things on each day from sangeria demo's to games in the pool.
FOOD- we were on half board and had breakfast there each day and evening meal ther four nights. It was the BEST food that i have ever seen in any hotel buffet. i could spend ages describing all the delicious food. My father is a very fussy eater and couldn't stop praising the food. We ate out in two lovely retaurants one called 'Oriental World' and La Oola. A must to go too food was very very good!!!!!!!

We moved to this hotel after 4 days at another hotel in Puerto Del Carmen which was awful. We were greated by Renata who was absolutley fabulous. She took pity on us as Thomas Cook were refusing to contribute towards the cost of us having to change hotels (though no fault of our own) and she gave us a superior room for the price of a standard one.

The decor was lovely, the rooms were clean, stylish and modern and all the staff from cleaners to bar staff to receptionists were all helpful and polite. The restaurant was brilliant - so much choice and you could swap your evening meal for a lunchtime one if you wanted to eat out in the evening. There is no all inclusve there and you do have to pay for your drinks no matter what board you are but they are reasonably priced.

There are plenty of sunbeds although they could do with a few more umbrellas but that really is my only niggle. Everything else was perfect - the pool was great and my son enjoyed the water polo at 4pm each day. Right on the beach and just a lovely place to stay.

Stayed in Las Costas for 6 days at end of July 2012 and found Hotel to be a chilled out place to stay, was on a half board basis and choice of foods in restaurent was excellent, After irish washed out summer having blue skies high temps and wall to wall sunshine every say was fab.
Hotel rooms are like bungalows practically on the beach which was an added bonus. Whole place is kept spotless with daily cleaning and air con rooms. Staff are very polite and courteous, and night enterainment good, shame on the germans that complained ( at 11pm.......) when a fab duo were singing on a show. Get a life.Overall I would def return next year. One thing that bothered me was young kids in jacuzzi with goggles on going under the water.as with most places sign is up under 16 not permitted, pool staff should enforce this, Its a dangerous practice.

Hi and welcome back to to our fifth trip to Las costas and it was as good as ever we returned on the 3rd of August after three fabulous weeks of glorious sunshine,as ever this hotel certainly looks after its repeat guests with complimentary champagne on arrivial, as our flight was delayed in Dublin,
there was even a salad and sandwiches left out for our late arrival. The Las Costas has it all, next door to the beach, a fifteen minute walk to PDC,and fab food.Hope to return again next year.
