“Good hotel,good location”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

We stayed at Lanzarote Village from 11th Nov to 18th in Room1230. What a great room with the biggest terrace we have ever had and a great seaview. Spotlessly clean as was all of the hotel. The staff were very friendly although some reviews say otherwise ??? Food was fine and on some days excellent. The chilli was superb! This hotel is in a brilliant position - 2 minutes to the beach and the promenade. 15 minutes to Playa de los Poccilos and 30 minutes to PDL at a strolling pace and only 55 minutes walk to the Harbour - all along the very pleasant sea front. The entertainment at night wasn't really to our taste although the singers were fine so we used to go a walk after dinner and then back for a few drinks in the very pleasant bar. If you didn't like the entertainment you could sit outside on the terrace so no problem really. We will definately be returning to this hotel and have already recommended it to our friends. Thanks to all the staff for a great holiday in a very very good hotel.

Room Tip: Pay extra for seaview room well worth it

We arrived at the hotel about 8.30 in the evening and it looked lovely in reception the person on the front desk kept asking for a hotel voucher which i didnt have so i gave her my invoice which had everything on it she gave it back saying no it has to be hotel voucher well i had not eaten and was very short with her saying you have my name there on the piece of paper she said where does it say all inclusive to which i pointed at my invoice and said its all here on this paper in the end she saw i was annoyed photocpied the invoice which she could have done in the first place she gave us our room which was a bit of a maze to get to but was lovely when we got there we just dumped suitcases and went to dinner as it closed at 9 we sat down and waited nobody came so we assumed it was self service for your drinks so my partner went and got us our drinks only to be told by a german couple that it wasnt self service i said well usually you dont have to wait so long to get your drink this was the same every meal we had which let it down badly you had to get there attention and put your hand up otherwise they wouldnt bother also they only give you a knife and fork so if you want something else you have to hunt for another knife and fork just little things that could be improved like name tags for what your eating they had written in german but very little saying in english half the time i had to guess and sometimes got something that was not what i thought it was. also pork i have never seen in one place so much pork on the menu pork everyday all day the variety could have been alot better breakfast consisted of the usual but i dont like snotty eggs or snotty omelletes i literally had to stand there and say no put it back on the griddle and turn it over he kept wanting to give me it and had to keep saying no not yet the entertainment was good i found this hotel did cater more for the german holiday makers though all in all it was a nice clean hotel but food not enough variety with meats and staff were not on the ball like other hotels. beds well they werent the most comfortable but that goes for most hotels we ended up getting the sofa bed out instead of the beds lanzarote is lovely i will be going back but it will be in a riu hotel which was right next to this hotel.

Room Tip: The better rooms are higher up they are in the middle of the hotel above reception they have most of...

Dear clients.
Thank you for visting our hotel for your holiday, and for writing a long and detailed review.
We do appreciate your opinion, and will study it carefully on our next management meeting.
We would like to comment on a few points. Regarding the hotel voucher to be delivered by arrival at the reception. It is important for us that all guests staying with us hand in a correct hotelvoucher,
which we need for invoicing the touroperator or agency.
In the restaurant, all drinks are normally served on the table, but it is also possible to get them on the counter if you like. We are sorry that you found this service not good enough . About the variation of meat, we do serve variation of chicken, turkey, veal, lamb chops, entrecote, beef and pork. All the dishes on the buffet has a sign in three languages, spanish, german and english.
We are glad you found the room lovely, and hope you enjoyed our other services.
It would please us if you will consider staying here again some time in the future.

Kind regards,
the Lanzarote Village Team.

What a great place . If your looking for a holiday where everything is on site well look no further. It has everything you could look for . A bus takes you into playa blanca if you want to do some shopping . It has to have the best entertainment programme in any resort I've ever stayed at. It has its one dome on site just a short stroll away yet still onsite.

Arrived 09 November 2012, first the good points,

1- check in fast and friendly
2-Rooms clean although a little confusing regarding the number sequence in finding room
3-General area and surrounds of hotel were very clean
4-Pool enclosed with glass barrier so child friendly for safety
5-General friendliest of the staff.

Now the downfall
this hotel caters mainly for all inclusive guests,as a result in my personal view the standard of food drops,we found the selection of food very bland and cold, also at breakfast there was many problems like not enough untencils ,tea pots glasses, cereal bowls etc. this really let the hotel down.
Overall it is a nice hotel but really needs to try that bit harder to be recognized as a 4 star hotel

Visited this hotel with 3 other adult friends for a 2 week holiday (Oct11 - 25th 2012) with Low Cost Holidays. We had a great time. Good clean rooms, good food with plenty of choice, would go back again. The only small criticism was the quality of the entertainment was not 4* rating.

Room Tip: We asked for, and had rooms away from the pool and bar area (the sea side of the hotel). These we th...

We stayed for 14 nights from 25th October at this very nice hotel, lovely quiet room with great sea views, food drink and staff excellent, holiday completely ruined 2nd week due to behaviour of 2 british lager louts. The hotel was very remiss in continuing to serve them alcohol for the first two days when obviously continually drunk and abusive.I soke to reception 3 times eventually police were called, and had to attend twice.I spoke to the manager also who said said all the staff had been instructed not to serve them alcohol, this was a little late in the day.I told him they should have been kicked out,he said he could not do this!!!!!! why not their constant foul language in front of small children was unacceptable. In all not dealt with soon enough by the hotel.

Dear clients,
Thank you for your visit in our hotel, and for writing a review. We would like to comment on the incident with the 2 guests that you mention. They were behaving very badly the first 2 nights of their stay. After that they were not served any more alcoholic drinks for the rest of the week , which resulted in a quiet a normal behavior. Fortunately this type of incidents are really rare, and we take the opportunity to inform that our hotel has a tranquil atmosphere, it is not a party hotel.
We are glad you otherwise did enjoy the nice room, the good food and the service of our staff.
And it will please us if you would consider staying here again some other time.

Kind regards,
the Lanzarote Village Team.

My husband and I have just returned from the Lanazarote Hotel Village and was extremely disappointed. The beds were so hard we had to sleep in the sofa bed! The food was cold, no taste, certain foods for example the bacon were stuck to the tray it had been left so long (wished I had taken a photo). The staff in the restaurant, with the exception of a girl who had just started named zui zui (I think thats how you pronouce it) should go on a course of how to be pleasant at the very least have a smile on their face. The entertainment was poor. After going to a 4* hotel in June this doesn't come close. I'm afraid apart from the building which was clean, modern and bright this hotel should be a 3*. I must just add that the girls on reception were very nice and friendly (Hannah and Mayo). It makes me wonder who put the wonderful reviews as most people we spoke to agreed with us, the conversation I might add was not started by us.

Dear clients.
Thank you for taking time in writing a review. We will take in consideration your opinion in our next
management meeting. We are sorry that our hotel did not meet your expectation, but glad that the members of our female staff that you mention were nice and helpful.
We do feel that all the good reviews we get ,are rightfully so, but are also aware of the impossibility to please absolutely everybody.
