“Excellent Holiday”

Visited this hotel with 3 other adult friends for a 2 week holiday (Oct11 - 25th 2012) with Low Cost Holidays. We had a great time. Good clean rooms, good food with plenty of choice, would go back again. The only small criticism was the quality of the entertainment was not 4* rating.

Room Tip: We asked for, and had rooms away from the pool and bar area (the sea side of the hotel). These we th...

We stayed for 14 nights from 25th October at this very nice hotel, lovely quiet room with great sea views, food drink and staff excellent, holiday completely ruined 2nd week due to behaviour of 2 british lager louts. The hotel was very remiss in continuing to serve them alcohol for the first two days when obviously continually drunk and abusive.I soke to reception 3 times eventually police were called, and had to attend twice.I spoke to the manager also who said said all the staff had been instructed not to serve them alcohol, this was a little late in the day.I told him they should have been kicked out,he said he could not do this!!!!!! why not their constant foul language in front of small children was unacceptable. In all not dealt with soon enough by the hotel.

Dear clients,
Thank you for your visit in our hotel, and for writing a review. We would like to comment on the incident with the 2 guests that you mention. They were behaving very badly the first 2 nights of their stay. After that they were not served any more alcoholic drinks for the rest of the week , which resulted in a quiet a normal behavior. Fortunately this type of incidents are really rare, and we take the opportunity to inform that our hotel has a tranquil atmosphere, it is not a party hotel.
We are glad you otherwise did enjoy the nice room, the good food and the service of our staff.
And it will please us if you would consider staying here again some other time.

Kind regards,
the Lanzarote Village Team.

My husband and I have just returned from the Lanazarote Hotel Village and was extremely disappointed. The beds were so hard we had to sleep in the sofa bed! The food was cold, no taste, certain foods for example the bacon were stuck to the tray it had been left so long (wished I had taken a photo). The staff in the restaurant, with the exception of a girl who had just started named zui zui (I think thats how you pronouce it) should go on a course of how to be pleasant at the very least have a smile on their face. The entertainment was poor. After going to a 4* hotel in June this doesn't come close. I'm afraid apart from the building which was clean, modern and bright this hotel should be a 3*. I must just add that the girls on reception were very nice and friendly (Hannah and Mayo). It makes me wonder who put the wonderful reviews as most people we spoke to agreed with us, the conversation I might add was not started by us.

Dear clients.
Thank you for taking time in writing a review. We will take in consideration your opinion in our next
management meeting. We are sorry that our hotel did not meet your expectation, but glad that the members of our female staff that you mention were nice and helpful.
We do feel that all the good reviews we get ,are rightfully so, but are also aware of the impossibility to please absolutely everybody.

This was our first time to Lanzarote but it won't be the last. The hotel is in a great location, not too big and is low level which gives it a nice personal feel. We were sitiuated on the ground floor and had a nice sea view, which was great. The rooms were lovely, well furnished, extremely clean, comfortable and modern..and also very quiet, which was good. We were all inclusive and this was great as we had three children; As much ice cream as they could eat, snacks if they wanted them and drinks coning out of their ears. I must say that I thought the food was excellent considering it was a buffet style, some of the best I have had of this type. Everyone was catered for from kids right up to the fussy eater. As mentioned on other reviews, all the inclusive drinks are local brands but this didn't seem to matter as they all hit the spot...especially with the size of the measures. This is the only holiday I have had to ask for smaller measures. For those of you that, like me, are sad enough to use the gym when you are on holiday this one was adequate and had good quality, servicable equipment. A mixture of resistance and cv but could have been more freeweights. Overall, an excellent hotel with a friendly atmosphere, yes there were quite a lot of nationalities, but thankfully, from previous experiences, not a lot of Russians. Incidently the only bad bit behaviour I witnessed was from two English idiots, and thankfully this was dealt with promptly. (too much all inclusive drinking). Overall an excellent hotel, in an excellent location and one I would be glad to return to. Incidently it has a sister hotel over the road that looks equally as nice but the name escapes me, sorry.

Room Tip: Our room was at the opposite side to the restaurant. These are ground level, nice and quiet with goo...

We had a great time at the hotel, it's in a great location and the staff were all polite and happy. The food was okay we always found something to eat. Our only grip was a big one! on our last but one night at the hotel it rained and water came through the ceiling onto our bed....more » The maintenance man was there in 5 minutes with towels and a bucket, we had to sleep with our beds away from the wall, Pillows slipping onto the floor and with the water dripping into the bucket, not a good nights sleep! I understand that it was late at night and there was no quick fix to the leak. However what I can't understand from a 4* Hotel is that we had no apology, I had to check with reception that it was fixed and would not happen again. It was brushed under the carpet. I was very disappointed. Would I stay again....... maybe but not in a top floor room

Room Tip: Not on the top floor and if sharing with kids you need a suite

We visit the Canary Islands every year in October, usually holidaying on the Island of Fuerteventura. This time around we decided, for a couple of reasons, to look at Puerto Del Carmen in Lanzarote. After much deliberation and investigation we plumped for the Lanzarote Village Hotel and we were not disappointed.
The Hotel is in fantastic Location, approximately 1 minutes walk to Pocillos Beech and about 10mins from the beginning of the very long Del Carmen Strip. We chose to go fully inclusive and the food was what you would expect of a 4 start hotel, the choice was varied and there is something to suit everybody, even the fussy people among you. The Pool Bar also serves freshly good burgers and toasties etc etc . The staff were excellent and the room were spacious and very well looked after, the maid showed her face every single day on our 11 day holiday.
The Hotel is bout 60% German, but don’t let that put you off, no-one is allowed to really book the sun beds ( quite amazing isn’t it) and to be fair no-one did, you just wandered down to the pool when you were ready and hey presto, sun beds would be available. The Pool and Jacuzzi are superb. All the Hotel entertainment is in English, although when you get to 46 years old, some of it might not interest you.
As stated we went on an all inclusive package but we wish we hadn’t. Lanzarote was so cheap I couldn’t believe it. You can pick up a very good English breakfast for 2 euro at multiple locations along the strip; you don’t have to walk or look far to get it. And the San Miguel beer is on average about 2 Euros a pint, bottled beer is always dearer, but I like draft. We eat out 9 of the 11 nights at various restaurants, not a bad meal had, and with gifts purchased etc we still managed to spend under £1000. The average price to dine out would be about 25 euro per head and that is with a beer thrown in, which is cheaper than Bulgaria. All in all we had a great holiday at a great Hotel, we’ll be going back that is for sure.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 1228, which had a pool view from the terrace, i would ask for an upgrade if by cha...

Recently returned from a week's stay at this hotel and the feedback from all 3 couples was very favourable. As all 6 of us are now very much in the senior class we felt the all inclusive nature of this hotel suited us all to a tee.It meant that we did not have to be rushing out in the evening for food and drink but could relax in the hotel surroundings and enjoy the sea views from the restaurent and lounges. The food itself while not haute cuisine was none the less quite varied and acceptable (the cooks in our group felt that the cooks in the hotel were far too liberal in there use of salt). The drinks available as part of the all inclusive package were fairly comphensible and a good variety. The only fault really was that the wine available as part of the all inclusive package was not great and when you opted for a better quality wine there was no allowance against your A/I rate,However overall we really enjoyed our stay as we felt that all the staff were welcoming and pleasent. All 3 of our rooms were sea view and we all felt stringly that the extra few Euro for this upgrade was very much worthwhile. We also made use of the facilities at the hotel which were again varied and comprehensive with no shortage of staff to assist when required. If I were to nitpick I would have to say that personally I felt very annoyed that one particular young lad was using the heated jacuzzi all the time as his personal swimming pool which was discontcerting for others trying to use this facility.I realise his parents (instead of actively encouraging him)should have stopped him but when they failed to do so the security staff at the hotel should have insisted on it.I again realise that this is only a minor item and as i said earlier the hotel itself was in pristine condition and the bedrooms etc were spotlessly clean and were kept so ,(thanks to an excellent housekeeping staff)through out our stay.It is cetainly our intention to return.

Room Tip: Sea view room on a high floor is worthwhile.

Dear guest

thank you for your lovely comment on our hotel. We are delighted that you had such a great holiday here and almost everything was to your satisfaction.

Most of your clients like the sea view rooms. That's one of the reasons why those rooms are easily booked up.

We have a wide range of food to chose from to try to please the different wishes of our guests. So we are happy that you liked the variety.

We are looking forward to welcome you again in our hotel.

Kind regards,
The Lanzarote Village Team
