“Relaxing stay”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

Just arrived back from a weeks stay at hotel la geria and had a fantastic time. The hotel itself is very nice and clean and the rooms are modern with a view of the pool and of the sea which is literally just across the road from the hotel. Pool area was lovely and always sun beds as you were not allowed to reserve them with towels or they would be removed. Pool cleaned every night. Food was nice especially the show cooking pasta which was delicious. The cocktails on all inclusive we're lovely. Evening entertainment was really good for a hotel we saw flamenco dancers and opera singers. Not really a family hotel more for couples and older people, quite a quiet resort. Would have liked music around the pool but overall I would definitely return again. Me and my fiancé had an excellent holiday here and the staff were lovely.

Just spent two weeks at this hotel and i was very pleased with all aspects of my holiday. I booked it only a week before and was a bit wary but there was no need. The twin room was spotless and modern with air con and maid service daily. View from massive balcony of pool and sea. The beach is just across the road and the sea has lovely clear water. The pool area is very popular but always sunbeds available at all times and has a very nice pool bar with friendly staff. The restaurant was buffet service and as expected decent food and variation. Staff very busy but helpful and cheerful. My only groan was the evening entertainment, which was not that good but if you want nightlife then this is not for you. The previous reviews regarding unfair service to all inclusive did not happen to me and i didnt witness any problems, also the reviews about rude Germans, well i didnt see any of that. Everyone appeared to be enjoying their holidays and soaking up the very hot sun. I would agree though that there were a high number of elderly people so if you want a noisy disco atmosphere dont come here. All in all a quiet and relaxing hotel that i would love to visit again.

Room Tip: The pool trees are very high so if you want a sea view then the higher floors would be best, 3rd or...

Just returned from a fantastic break at La Geria. We wanted quiet and to be away from the madness of resorts. We definitely got that, with the added bonus of being able to get a short taxi ride into the resort and nightlife if we felt the urge. Staff were amazing, hotel spotless, food lovely and rooms ideal for a stay involving sleeping by the pool all day. This is very much an international hotel, lots of Spanish (which backs up my point about cleanliness and good food) and there's no screaming kids. If you want a family hotel with discos and lots of entertainment then this isn't the hotel for you. The Animation team have a schedule of volleyball, aqua aerobics, archery, etc, etc during the day but at night there's only one show and then most people go to bed. This suited us perfectly. Would highly recommend this hotel and we will be returning. Top tips : 4th floor rooms and go see Paloma for a massage

Room Tip: 4th floor 450 onwards for best views and evening sunshine

Couldn't fault anything. Was impressed as soon as I walked in the large open reception area. Greeted by friendly receptionists. Room was spacious, very clean, with a balcony and a lovely modern bathroom. Pool was lovely and surrounding area was lovely. The food is great, a buffet with loads of choice! Waiters were funny and friendly. It backs on to the beach which is brilliant, a few shops a small walk left and right of the back gate. Just remember you're in Lanzarote which is known for being windy. Despite being very windy, it was still hot and we had a great time.

I've just returned from a week in lanzarote, 20th to 27th june. I was in room 138, on the ground floor. It is a lovely spacious hotel, very clean, well maintained. I would recommend it it to anyone who wants a classy, fairly quiet holiday. It seems to attract a mix of european guests, non of whom are the vest and tattoo type. There were younger people there but mostly young couples. There was entertainment poolside and in the evening, but there was lots of fun and no oafish behaviour. The staff are very professional and every staff member I had anything to do with impressed me. There was a delightful lady at reception, whose name could be Rita who should be running the European Union!
There is a lovely pool area which is very clean and well maintained, with a good pool bar. The hotel is a fair walk from Puerto del Carmen but you can get several buses along. The bus fare is 1.30 euros. Taxis are very cheap. I'm not sure about Lanzarote, but if I did go back, I would certainly go back to this hotel.

Room Tip: ground floor rooms were very good

Hello,
we just can't agree that the Germans were very rude to the staff. we have been there 6 times and saw nothing of that nature.
A lot of German guests go to the hotel but everyone seems ultra- relaxed and in good form.

No , we genuinely didn't see that---maybe because everyone in the hotel , reception, room maids and especially the waiters really try hard to make us confortable. ! !
