Just back from a week's Half Board at the Le Geria. The room we had had on arriaval we didnt like (get what you pay for around the back no real view!!) Went to reception and were moved to a better room an extra 15euros a nite but worth it. The Hotel is immaculate the staff are always on the go and maintaning the hotel. Poolside always being swept and pool very clean.Food is very good always found something that we wanted and plenty of choice ,Staff attentive and helpful.Themed evenings and show cooking were great. We arnt ones for the entertainment but did watch a couple of the shows and they were a better quality than normal.Great having the beach opposite the hotel.Buses were also not far and very interesting ( we got lost!!) All the staff were just so helpful and fun,we are going back hopefully in Feb.Weather was a bit iffy but for a 4 hour flight and pretty good weather with such fantastic service we cannot rate it higher.

my wife and i spent a week at la geria all inclusive . we found the hotel to be spotlessly clean and the food was good . the wine maybe not so good -but we managed to buy a decent bottle or two of red wine (hardys for about 5 euros) from the local spar just outside the hotel , we were very impressed with the extra touches -on arrival wine and fruit was sent up to our room and the biggest surprise was having a bottle of cava complete with ice bucket and glasses arrive at 9.30 in the morning for my birthday,we hadnt told the hotel, they must have checked our passports.you could only get wifi at reception which was a pain.as you can see from the photos we had a large balcony probably the biggest one in the hotel ,we asked for it by e mail before we left (room 407 if your interested) overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Room Tip: room 407 has the sun all day

The summer was awful for us weatherwise and health-wise so a return to La Geria was a blessing indeed.
We were comfortable and felt genuinely welcome and can confirm that the atmosphere is far removed from some large Canaries hotels which even though they are fine, can be wholly impersonal.

The restaurant waiters were all great and we were sorry to learn that Roberto had been ill during most of our stay. Entertainment was better ( day & night ) than in previous years.

We were gald to see that the steps at main enterance had been repaired since outr last visit in February , when my wife fell.
The dinners were just great . The only slight change were the breakfasts which had less fish and choice than in recent years, but were still good.
In short we can't wait to retuen in 2013, God willing.

Room Tip: Just ask the wonderful Rita at reception !

My husband and I spent 3 week half board from 9/10/2012 - 30/10/2012 at the La Geria and have to say this is the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. In fact we found all of Lanzarote
very clean. Our room choice was given to us and all the staff were very polite and helpful and seem to take pride in their hotel.
The restaurant could do with more waiters to help the over worked ones that were there so guests did not have to wait so long for a table but the food was well cooked and great choice.
Loved the food cooked, at your request, on the hot plates especially the bacon, omeletes and pancakes for breakfast. The pasta cooked to your choice at dinner was good.Lovely deserts.

Pool area and gardens were well kept and there is a gate out to the road and the beach.
We are cat lovers so we were so please to see the cats at this hotel were well fed and contented so they did not bother the guests for food.

We did the Grand Tour and really enjoyed it, this is a must.
The rest we saw by bus, a lot cheaper and easy to do.

Would just like to mention Mohamed in the restaurant the two ladies who cooked the omelette's
and the life guard, they were all very friendly.

This was our first time in Lanzarote and we will return so well done La Geria we were impressed.

Room Tip: high floor

Just back having spent a week at this hotel our first visit food was good with a lot of choice though not always hot .All staff from Andreu at reception to Jorge and Mohamed in the restaurant and bar were very helpful and kind.this is a lovely hotel very clean and well maintained so I was surprised when we found cockroaches in our room then followed by ants which the cleaning staff dealt with we didn't see anymore ants but alas we still saw cockroaches I've stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels in Tenerife , Thailand , the Caribbean and Spain and have never had these in the room. We stayed all inclusive and we could only get glasses of water if we wanted bottles we had to pay and we had a very small cocktail list to chose from .We did have a lovely stay and really enjoyed the entertainment .

Room Tip: I requested a twin room which was two single beds but they were pushed together so when we split the...

Stayed in La Geria for 10 days in november. The hotel is a bit out of reach for some people if they struggle with walking far,but this should not put anyone off as the hotel well suited for middle aged and older aged who prefer a nice quiet peaceful time. All the staff are very pleasant and polite,as good as i have seen in spanish hotels. My only gripe with La Geria is that at busy periods they seem to be under staffed in the restaurant on an evening, struggling to accomodate peoples needs, but this is not due to the staff on duty they do their utmost to help. The bar area service is slow for the same reason, but in both areas service is good enough when not over worked.Ihad a complaint at 1 evening meal and reported it to the staff, the problem was not repeated again during our stay so they acted on it to my satisfaction. The food seems to go cool quickley but is of good quality and varied enough for most tastes.
The hotel seems to be mainly german occupied with a few english but caters for everyone.
Night time entertainment is only about an hour at most with reasonable acts apart from one duo called 'Alisios',simply the worst i have ever seen or heard!
The pool area seemed to be bothered with quite a lot of flies which got on your nerves after a while, really annoying when trying to have a siesta!
All in all though a good hotel with nice helpful staff from the receptionists to the maids and life guard on pool duty.Would return if going to lanzarote.
