Our 3rd visit to this hotel, which must say something! Staff are very helpful and efficient. Rooms are good size, well maintained. Tip: Go for a room with a pool view and you can't really go wrong! Rooms on the "east wing" get the afternoon sun, the ones on the "west wing" get the morning sun. Dont go for one facing tennis courts...more ». Hotel is very clean, pool area is continuosly being swept. Choice of food and quality is excellent. Clientelle tend to be in the 40+ age group. There are activities going on (staff not pushy) and there is a small play area (being re furbished when we were there) but probably not the ideal choice for young families. Evening entertainment was usual hotel standard! A quiet hotel with lovely tree filled pool area so plenty of shady spots if you want. Large beach across the road. Beach sunbeds 10 euros a pair including brolly. Road is not that busy and noise is not a problem. Airport is 10 minute taxi ride. Aircraft noise not a problem despite being quite near. Hotel does have free Wifi but this only really works in the reception area.

Room Tip: Pool view is nest

Booked a v last-minute trip here for 4 nights in April. Hotel is lovely- spacious and spotlessly clean and just across the road from the beach. We stayed All-Inc and really couldn't fault it. So much food and all of it lovely! Drinks were fine too.

Rooms were the only real down-side. We had twin beds with separate bedding- hardly romantic! Also there was no air-con, so we had to keep the balcony door open to let cool air in (when reporting to reception the rather nonchalant response was "the air con is broken. Yes, it is hot isn't it"!!) That's the only downside though.

Great for a short, quiet break. The other reviews are right about the older clientele, but being much much younger didn't bother us- we went for peace and quiet and that's exactly what we got!

Stayed here in October 2011. Just me and the wife. A nice relaxing hotel, stayed all inc and wasn't disappointed. Good selection of food and cooked to perfection. We have stayed at Hipotels before and have never been disappointed. The entertainment was a bit naff but was better than nothing. I would recommend this hotel if you want relaxing.

Just returned from a mini break which was a last minute booking. I would agree with the previous review that the hotel is not 4 star due to the lack of service and the room facilities let this place down, just a TV and empty fridge, toiletry's in the bathroom were a let down only a sower gel dispenser, small bar of soap and a comb, no tea/coffee facillities ( had to wait till resturant opened to get a morning cuppa.) even Travel lodge offer more than this. though this can be looked over by bringing a travel kettle. the best part about the room was that the shower was really powerfull and easily adjusted. the hotel were accomadating on our request for a double and got a king size (great). the room was on the 3rd floor, the view of the pool was good and you could just see the sea through the Palm trees.
I found the resturant buffet offered a good selection of food at every meal time, the choice of meats offered Beef, Pork, lamb, Chicken, Turkey, duck and various fish gave everyone a choice. The food was fresh and the resturant spotless.
The Bar menue for All/inc was Ok even had San Miguel on tap but the cocktails were a let down, these were produced out of sight, not from fresh fruit juices and very little alcohol.
The Pool area kept very clean and tidy, ample sun loungers, pool/beach towels ten euro deposit.
Overall i found the hotel to be spotlessly clean and comfortable. It was also very quiet, maybe due to the time of year (felt like i was on a SAGA holiday). For the price i paid, can't complain, the best deal i've had for All/inc.
Would i return ? Yes, but with a travel kettle lol.

Room Tip: Want a sea view ? go for top floor.

We are a family in late 30's with a 4 year old daughter and feel the hotel is aimed at 60 + age group. There was nothing for children to do. No mini disco or games to join in with. The hotel is lovely and clean with generous size rooms. The maid came into room on a daily basis and made beds and changed towels ect. The food in restuarant was ok but very repetative like most hotels. the desets were very good with lots of choice. They closed one side down so we were crammed in like chickens and was very hot and no air con. We went all inclusive and felt very let down with the choice in drinks, you were only allowed 5 cocktails from the list and were the worst cocktails I have ever tasted, being all inclusive we could only order small beers and if a paying guest was at the bar at the same time however we were first but had to wait. We were made to feel second rate being all inclusive. They were very tight on the drinks side. The bar and waiting on staff need to smile and me more helpful. The hotel had no atmospher at all and the entertainment was shocking, it was on for 45 mins to an hour an evening from 9pm till 10pm, a saxphone player one night, 2 flamenco shows, two singers and a Robbie Williams tribute act and a magic act. We only stayed for a week and it was enough It as boring. We spent alot of time out of the hotel. I would not return to this hotel which is a shame as its a lovely hotel and could offer so much more.

Room Tip: Room 309 shoud of been sea view which would of been if not for palm trees. quiet room.

We have just returned from our holiday at La Geria and we were very impressed with the hotel. Upon arriving at the airport, it was only 12 euros in a cab as it is very close to the airport and the transfer time was 10 mins, but didnt hear many planes as the hotel isnt over the flight path so another plus.
When we arrived at the hotel, the check in was very quick and efficeint and the reception staff were very friendly and informative.
The hotel was very clean and great decor.
The rooms were clean and all had a seaview which was great, only negative i could possibly say about the room was 2 single bedds pushed together with seperate bedding, which we didnt like too much, but this was the only negative we could possibly say about the whole holiday!
The pool was a bit chilly but tolerable, plenty of sunbeds available, the location was lovely, right next to the beach and shopping.
The resort was nice and quiet for this time of year, there was an animaton team and entertainment each night which was fine.
The food was excellent, we have been on several all inclusive holidays and this was the best, full english breakkie, cereals, croissants, fruit, omelletes made to order, lunch and dinner was something different each day, deserts were impressive. Icecreams available throughout the day and snacks. You would never go hungry!
Aday the bar tender was especially great, after the first night we ordered our drink from him and had friendly interaction, each night from then, he would bring us over drinks to our table without even asking, what exceptional service. All the staff were so friendly and helpful.
Overall it was a great holiday, nice and relaxing. If your after a nice peaceful stress free holiday then this is definately for you. Were hoping to go back for another trip at the end of the year, just wonderful.
Thanks La Geria for a great holiday!!

having read some good reviews we were happy to book this hotel. having visited Lanzarote numerous times and staying in properties ranging from Balcon Del Mar to The Fariones i had high expectations for this 4star hotel. after my trip i don't feel this is a 4star property.
the location across the road from the Pocillos area beach is lovely but having been in email contact with reception staff the week before my trip we had hoped for a sea view room with balcony sun as requested. half of the hotel rooms get no balcony sun - morning or evening so this was disappointing even through reception staff has said they would try and facilitate our request. the hotel is a good walk from the centre of Peurto Del Carmen but as we wanted a relaxing holiday this walk in the evening was nice.
the pool area is nice. plenty of sun chairs and just across the road to the beach. we noticied many guests opted for All Inclusive. after the first morning we were glad we were just B&B board. the breakfast had a good choice but the sausages and bacon did not look edible so we stuck to omlettes and fried eggs. there is a great variety of breads and the fresh fruit was nice but one gets bored of the same options each day. breakfast in the local restaurants is just €3 so we took a break from the hotel some days. i would recommend La Posada (Irish Cafe) up by Los Jameos PLaya hops/restaurant area for coffee/breakfast/lunch - freshly made, very good quality food and friendly staff.
we had an evening flight home so needed to shower and change before the airport and were disappointed to be told the shower area was the public toilet/shower room in the gym/spa. spa patrons were knocking on the door to use the facilities whilst we were showering. most other hotels allow you use a non occupied hotel room so i found this very odd as this area of the hotel is accessed by walking outside of the main hotel, down by the pool and sunchairs and down a stairs. the gym/fitness room itself was very very basis. one or two machines and very few weights - no wonder there is no photographs on any booking website !!
overall we had a nice stay but if you are English speaking bring a laptop for dvds as the only tv channels in english were BBCNews and CNBC which had picture but no sound. the Disney channel would change to German at times.
if you have booked this hotel already you will have an enjoyable stay. the hotel is nice and clean, /annoying the wifi can only be accessed directly beside the reception desk) but prob would not go back again as it is not of 4star standards

Room Tip: bring a laptop or dvd player try and get a seaview room with sun no aircon so rent a fan if possi...
