“Once bitten!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2014

Got talked in by the tout outside on first night of our hols! Very poor quality food compared with other steakhouses we tried during our stay in Lanzarote. service was ok. Would never go back here.

“Overpriced rubbish”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2014

As a UK guy living in the Netherlands, I have a certain understanding for Dutch food. I was quite surprised with this place. We were enticed in by a smooth talk northern man out on the street, which was no problem as that's his job. We took a table and noticed the high prices on the Menu (€6.95 for Chicken burger) for example (It's Lanzarote, not Amsterdam!). We ordered and were shocked. The chicken burger wasn't actually a burger but some thin slices of undercooked chicken in a cheap bun and about a dozen chips. My girlfriend had a Dutch sausage which was equally as bad. We were charged €12 or a jug of Sangria which was nothing special and left feeling very very disappointed (We spent about €25 for a Sangria, chicken burger and Dutch hot dog. For the same money in PDC, you can get a Sirloin steak and Lasagne meal with bottle of Spanish red wine! Enough said!!!). The only positive was the friendly waitress who was laughing and joking. Change the chef and lower the prices by a couple of Euros!!!! We are returning to Lanzarote in 3 weeks and WILL NOT be back here!!!

“Great food & service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 18, 2013

Our experience of The Flying Dutchman was really very good, we were pleasantly surprised.

The steak was done to perfection and was amazing value at just €8.95.
Chocolate cake for Desert was to die for.

The staff was very friendly and efficient so I really don't have any complaints except I'm sorry I didn't find this restaurant earlier on in my holiday!

“ok”

The meal was fine and good value but the tinned mushrooms left a sour note with me.I am probably being a bit picky as everything else was grand and the staff were great.
