I have been going to PDC for over 20 years and to be honest am saddened by the changes to the strip as some good restaurants have fallen by the wayside to be replaced by huge Asian restaurants (or perfume shops!) but that's life I guess. So this place was new to us and we thought we would try as the other Asian place just along the road is pretty good. First thing we noticed was its a bit more laid back, not so many manic waiters serving plates at a breakneck pace. So a good start...we ordered one of the banquets ate our starters (nice) and waited for the next course to be thrust upon us as is the case in Oriental World...it did not happen. 10 minute break and the duck arrived, and proper crispy duck as well, shredded in front of you as it should be (the other place cooks duck breasts and slices it before it comes to the table which is nice but not proper crispy duck),. Ate that, another nice break and then the mains. Sweet and sour chicken (nice but not special)and black bean prawns (outstanding) Fried rice also really nice and clearly freshly cooked. So overall, really really good. The service was great, pleasant and not rushed and the food in my opinion just beats the other big competitor down the road and it is much more relaxed. Cost about 45 euros with wine. Will go again for sure.
