My views are based on an ALL INCLUSIVE 10 night stay (school holidays) in a one bedroom apartment at the beginning of April which cost my wife and I a total of £57 per night. Pleased with that and feel that we had value for money.

This is a well documented THREE STAR complex and be under no doubts that is exactly what you are going to get. That is not a negative statement as we enjoyed our stay but is just intended to clarify things for future travellers.

On a steep hill and quite a few steps within the complex but this did not seem to bother most people. However, if you do struggle with walking it might pose some people problems.

The apartments are BRIGHT and CLEAN but as in most places they are furnished in Canarian style which makes them look a little tired. The maid service is good with a regular change of towels.

The main pool area is nicely set out and has a very warm friendly feel to it.

The daytime entertainment is good with the 2 girl animacion team giving the children and adults plenty to do or think about. (one girl leaving as we did so not sure what impact that will have as she was very good) . The evening entertainment on the whole was QUITE GOOD for HOLIDAY ENTERTAINMENT as in general it is usually pretty appalling. The bar service was good although for some strange reason the all inclusive residents had to drink from plastic beakers unless we were in the restaurant. Not really a problem if you are drinking beer but wine just does not taste the same from a 1/2 pint beaker.

The restaurant is nice but can get very busy at times although the staff are very efficient and do to move things along quite quickly, without ever rushing you. You never have to wait very long, if at all, for a table.

The food, now this is going to sound very contradictive. On offer is a choice of salads, pasta, rice, your usual cold meats and various veg dishes etc. The main meats during our stay consisted of fish, rabbit, goat, veal, pork, chicken, meat balls, turkey and beef which is a good selection in anyones eyes and was not a problem. The problem being not the SELECTION but the QUALITY of the food, with a lot of it being TASTELESS and BLAND. We also experienced some very strange combinations as well. Example : One evening we had a choice of chicken, beef or pork with the only veg available being peas or tinned carrots and the ONLY form of potato on offer was CHIPS ! This was a constant problem throughout our stay but even so you will not go hungry.

So just to reiterate, this is a THREE STAR budget hotel which in our opinion is offering good value for money at the prices that WE paid. YOU ONLY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR springs to mind.

Room Tip: Avoid the front of the hotel as otherwise you will be subjected to quite alot of road noise. All the...

I stopped here for 7 nights all inclusive, staff seemed nice and helpful, I stopped in the main part right next to the pool and across from the bar and had no problems, was quiet noisy untill 10pm ish with the entertainment but it didn't bother me :)

Now, the beer was weak and tasted crap and the food wasn't brill either, a local barmen said the meat was all boiled so I'll deffo be coming back self catering, there's plenty of place to eat tho within walking difference.

There was a couple cats walking about but it wasn't a problem and they didn't bother you.

Overall a nice place and I will be coming back again soon with the family.

I paid €370 at the reception without booking for 7 nights all inc

Just returned from a week all inclusive at the THB Flora .Hotel very clean rooms were a good size breakfast and lunch were okay food at dinner time was some nights very poor .Again in lanzarote I encountered the blue tumblers which are exclusive to all inclusive residents All drinks served in these ghastly things unless you paid for a drink which you got in a glass day and night at the pool side There are two parts to this hotel one side very quiet the other a bit more lively Hotel was busy but no problem with sunbeds Staff were pleasant although at the bar on some occasions you did get ignored Ask for a room with a sea view the view is spectacular .The hotel is situated on top of a steep hill ten minute walk to the old town or harbour taxi available outside the hotel and so were buses .All in all I enjoyed my stay at the Flora good value for money but would prefer my drinks in adult glasses

After a very unsettling start to our holiday things got sorted out first thing in morning and all was well from them on. We arrived around 8pm in evening and checked in ok, were given keys to two apartments but when opening up we were met with fausty, smoky smells - very disappointing. We went to reception to complain and were told to come back in morning so we went to bar to eat but were met with a stag party (or similar) all with tatoos, smoking and swearing and this was the last straw. Next morning we went to reception and were offered two apartments on the other side of the road away from the bar area - these were so much better and so much quieter. The pool was really nice and everything seemed so much more relaxing! The staff were excellent and couldnt do enough for us. The apartments are very dated and basic but perfectly adequate for a self catering holiday and certainly clean. THB Flora is up quite a steep hill and pavements are rather uneven for walking (certainly not a time for high heels!!) but only about 15 mins from lively centre - taxis are cheap enough if you dont feel like walking. We didnt eat at the Flora as we had booked self catering but had some wonderful meals in Puerto del Carmen and lovely breakfast at the Purple Turtle. Would certainly return to Puerto Del Carmen but although the Flora was clean and well maintained, we would like a little more comfort as we are ladies of a certain age!! Dont be put off by this though cos for a family self catering holiday it would be great and not too expensive.

Room Tip: The apartments are divided by a road with the bar, pool and other facilities on the one side and jus...

Returned from a week self catering at the Flora. Excellent value for money. Stayed in the apartments across the road from the main complex which was connected by a safe private subway. Very impressed and pleased to be "across the road" in the quieter complex. The apartment had plenty of equipment at no extra charge. Abundance of hot water and comfortable. There were plenty of sunbeds and no crowding! The apartment overlooked the lovely pool and very pleasant surroundings. This is the second visit to the Flora and wound recommend it for a holiday complex. Well located for the bars and restaurants in the old town which is down the hill, would recommend a taxi for the return journey as the hill is quite steep.

Room Tip: Complex across the road, overlooking the pool.

Booked this hotel last minute, and got a pretty good deal for a last minute Easter break. Check in was fast and friendly, allocated rooms as we requested, to be next door to our friends and a sea / pool view. The all inclusive food is not the best we have had but not the worst either. Breakfast and lunch were better than dinner although there was always something to eat. Drinks were fine, good enough choice, never had a problem with the bar staff, only encountered queues one night but this was a five minute queue. Hotel was clean, staff always working hard to try keep it clean. Certainly didn't see any cockroaches at all. Entertainment staff tried really hard to get everyone involved and always had a smile on their face. All in all, we had a great break and a lot of laughs. We went out a few nights, yes there is a hill, but it really isn't as bad as some make out. Only complaint I could make is you get your drinks in plastic tumblers day and night if you are all inclusive, but paying guests get served in glasses day and night.

I spent a week at this place. Television in every room, unfortunately you can't watch it unless you pay 14 Euros a week. kitchen, but no kettle unless you pay 5 Euros a week plus 8 Euros deposit. WIFI throughout the complex but you can't log on unless you pay 25 Euros a week. You can rent an iron 5 Euros plus 8 deposit per week. I was all inclusive and the bar staff somehow for some reason treat you as if you were responsible for the deaths of their entire family. One barman who has probably worked there for about 25 years didn't know what lemon was. After mouthing the word lemon in as many different accents as i could muster I still couldn't make him understand. You have to point and pronounce it leeeeemon. I was sat with some people who were not all inclusive so I paid for them to have a drink. Unfortunately the barman thinks that a Bacardi and coke is 5 Euros when in actual fact it is only 3.50. When I pointed this out to him the next day he just shrugged and walked away.

I have to commend the cleaning lady of my room who was charming and polite and an absolute hero when confronted by giant cockroaches that infested my room. If you are over 50 you need adequate health insurance if the food don’t get you the hill will. If you take on the challenge of walking up the hill without an independent supply of liquid oxygen you’re a better man than I am. If you get a taxi up the hill the taxi driver will practically burst into tears because you are only going up the hill. A cheap tacky complex that is just going through the motions of pretending that it is a holiday complex. There are some great places to stay in Puerto Del Carmen. Trust me, this isn’t one of them.

We are glad you did choose THB FLORA to rest during your well deserved holidays. We are sorry to hear you were disappointed. Our TVs do have some free channels but not all, and the Wi-Fi is pre pay as it is shown in the websites.
We do also apologize for the misunderstanding at the pool bar; the price differs between house drinks and branded drinks. Rum from a local brand costs €3.5 and a branded one like Bacardi does cost €4.5. About the insects, we hire a firm o avoid any kind of insects due o the weather in the Canary Islands.

We feel sorry about your decision but still we hope to see you again here.
