“Great!!!!”

We stayed for a week in these apartments and I would definately go back.

The rooms had all the basic requirements and were cleaned on a regular basis. I had read in previous reviews that some parties had been broken into, however thankfully we did not experience this and I felt that the rooms were very secure.

The apartments are in a fantastic location, with both the new and old towns being only a short distance away. The hill down to the new town is quite steep but manageable although I wouldn't recommend that you attempt it wearing heels.

The staff in Lomo Blanco couldn't have been more accomodating and the atmosphere around the pool is relaxed and family orientated. It really is an enjoyable place to stay.

july O8 , lomo blanco was not bad but would NOT recomend it. sunbeds wer scarce if you were'nt up by 7:30am forget it ! rooms were very poor both our parties broken into twice in 2 weeks. recpetion was no help atall , not a great deal for teenagers , pool side very bland and boring , evening entertainment was repetive, slightly far away from main resort , long walks or taxi's to this area. beach was down hill all the way , very steep walk back up , not good in the heat. some good bars and restaurants along the sea front though.

The location of Lomo Blanco is excellent, its around a 5-10 minute taxi journey from the main night life. This is good because its such a short journey away to night life but still is in a quiet location which means you can get a great nights sleep and relax as you much as you desire!

As you go in, Lomo Blanco has a small but friendly looking reception area. If you carry on down there lobby there is an inside bar and a TV which has English showings.

Outside the reception, there is the first pool, this is the largest pool and is where most people, particularly families tend to go. It has a friendly atmosphere but is not particularly relaxing.

The hotel grounds are covered with pretty flowers, If you carry on walking you then come to the 2nd pool, this is where we enjoyed spending our time as it was a bit more relaxed, although a fair bit smaller. Its perfect for couples.

Our room was over looking the pool so this was an excellent location for us, The rooms were very clean and spacious. The living room had a TV, coffee table, sofa and arm chair. There was also a fridge, cooker and small dining area which was nice.

The bedroom was well designed. They have large wardrobes and the beds are overall very comfy.

The bathroom was fine, had a nice shower, clean toilet and sink. It also had a large mirror for getting ready with great lighting!

To be honest, I do not remeber seeing much of the staff at all in these appartments, except obviously the bar staff.

There is also a fantastic little supermarket round the corner from Lomo Blanco, this sold everything from news papers, sun cream, rubber rings to walkers crisps!

The beach was lovely and was within a five minute walking distance.

This appartment for me was excellent value, I had a pleasant stay and do not have any negative comments! I would recommend it to families, couples or friends.

Stay at the Lomo Blanco the first week of May, and had visited due to my brother getting maried out there. Did hear alot of good things about this apartments but i was still not excepting it to be as great as it was to be honest. When we arrived in Lanzarote we decided to get a taxi rather than the bus and it cost about €13 for 3 of us, on check in at the apartments we had received a room with pool view as requested but i had also reaquested a refurbished room and had aksed if this was one and was told the pool apartments were not refurbished yet but they did have one available at the back of the complex, but we decided without seeing either room that we would stick with the pool view. Very inpressed with the apartment we got, basic but nice size and spotless clean i must say. The pool area was get and my son is 12 years and was very happy with it also. We didn't eat the the complex but i must say our stay was an all over fantasic stay here and i would return again. There is alot for kids in Lanzarote if they are at a young age but my 12 year old seem to be happy on nights out with a pool table and his cousins with him so i would recommend the Lomo Blanco for a basic but clean apartment in a fantastic location between the old town and the new town which was perfect and i would recommend eating in the old twon over looking the sea as the seafood and steaks are a must.

We also visited the volcano's and hired a car to get for €30 for the day which was great and the jet ski's are also a must do at only €50 for a half hour well worth it as you will see and say when you try.

Just got back from Lomo Blanco. The situation of these apartments is absolutely perfect. They really are in the best spot. Coming out of the apartments they look like they are in the middle of nowhere but once you walk a little you find everything. Going right brings you to New town and going left takes you down the strip or new town as they call it. You will need to get proper directions from reception.

The two reception girls look very moody but honestly they are fine once you speak to them.

The apartments are ok. We stayed in block b as they were newly decorated. They are a 3 min walk from reception but if you prefer to be close to bar and food etc then go for block A. They are not as new as block b but beside the large pool. If you have difficulty walking I would suggest you request a ground floor flat. There is a lift but it is really old.

The maid service is not great but then again these are only 2 star. Towels do get changed but they are old and well worn, however this is a very silly gripe i know. Beds not changed during the week but on arrival the apartments were very very clean and they provide toilet paper and a few toiletries, which I thought was a lovely touch. You have to pay for use of tv. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom and everything else you need in the kitchen.

All in all I would say they are in a great location but we travelled from the UK and they were not the cheap option so for that I was a little disappointed. We did not eat or drink here to cannot comment.

The pools were very clean as was the whole apartment block. Spotless!!

The shops are really expensive for basics so it was nearly cheaper to eat out.
I would say that if you are travelling to Peurto del Carmen and have some money to spent stay at the FARIONES hotel and apartments. They are fabulous. Really great.

The Lomo Blanco had the basic cheap sun beds and most people ended up taking the pillows from the bedrooms out to lie on as they were so uncomfortable.

To finish I would recommend for those not worried about luxury on their holiday and just want somewhere to lay their heads. Great location, cannot be beaten for that.

3 of us stayed here in mid March, the resort of Puerto del Carmen is really nice and the apartments are in a perfect spot between the Old Town (great for restaurants) and the New Town (great for night time). The complex is nice but the apartment we were staying in could have done with a lick of paint to say the least. We asked to be moved to the new block which we also requested when booking but we were told flat out that that wouldn't be possible. The reception staff were very rude, we asked for clean towels one evening and you'd swear I'd asked them to move the island the made such a fuss over it, all 3 people we met on reception were rude and could do with a crash course in customer service. Also the night porter spent the entire time smoking & watching TV and when we called the reception at night because of a disturbance outside the calls went ignored! Other than the staff issues the apartments were fine, basic but clean and like I said they are in a great location - Cardiac Hill is not that bad!

Just had week here - luckily it was hot and sunny every day! Apartment had trees outside so no sun at all on terrace. Location very good - the hill IS NOT a problem if you walk up from the Biosfera commercial centre instead of the more direct vertical climb. We bought excellent food from the Spar on the main road behind the complex. Breakfast fine - no variety but cooked to order. Be there early if you want croissants. The bar was expensive - £8 for 2 Bacardi breezers that were £1.75 each in the Spar. The eagle show is brilliant, reptile show good, parrots had had a busy day and were off form. We found the reception staff very helpful, as were the maids. All in all we were quite happy - don't let other reviews put you off.
