“Good holiday”
Reviewed July 2, 2014 via mobile

We didn't use thomsons coach transfer we used a taxi which was less than €15.
When we arrived we were checked in by Sylvia on reception who was lovely, cheerful and helpful as I found out were all staff on reception. We hired a safe which was €30 for 2 weeks with a €5 deposit
Our apartment was on the 1st floor (which I had requested via email) overlooking the main pool close to reception. The apartment had 2 balconys one off the bedroom overlooking the street and one off the living room overlooking the pool. It had a microwave, 2 ring hob and a coffee maker and all the usual cooking utensils
Tv had at least 9 English speaking channels.
The sofa beds were uncomfortable and hard esp the lower one. The twin beds in bedroom were very comfortable. The safe is located in the wardrobe of the bedroom and we found that both wardrobes to have ample room for the four of us
Pool sunbeds were unlocked at 9am and lifeguards started work at 10am. There were plenty of sunbeds but not enough parasols. We found the lifeguards to be very friendly and always alert to what was happening in the pool. The poolside entertainment was very hit and miss while the entertainer was a lovely friendly person she didn't seem to put much effort into it eg. daytime activites on the board in reception mostly didn't happen. My two children who are 12 and 13 enjoyed the activites when they were on 3/4 days out of 14. The pool area was spotless with people always cleaning
My children are too old to avail of the children's club but the children who were in it seemed to have fun
Poolside bar was ok for chips or pizza €2.50 for chips and roughly €6/€7 for pizza. Most people brought their own drinks to the pool
We only went to the evening entertainment one night (a drag act) while I would not have paid to see it I have to say it was entertaining.
There is a small shop on site but there's a larger one just next door which is very reasonably priced
We ate out every night in various restaurants or brought back takeaway from nicos 2 mins walk away (food is fab and is the best value for breakfast €4.50 for 2 sausages 2 eggs 2 pieces of back bacon beans hash brown and tomato included in the price is a choice of juice and a tea/coffee which most others places charge extra for)
We found the apartment complex and our apartment to be spotless.
Taxis are cheap and readily available
The only negative that I can say we found was the lack/half hearted day time entertainment
As we didn't stay out late I can't comment about how lively the resort is but I am a light sleeper and I was not woken once because of noise. The location of the apartments are perfect for the beach and main strip.
If anyone has any questions feel free to message me and I will try to answer them.

Apartments were fab, had everything you needed and more, the woman at the desk was so polite and helpful, when the man was on though he was quite rude, like a pig actually, didn't ruin our stay tho! Very convenient location, 2 mins walk to the strip!

We went on June with our 4yr old boy and my in-laws. The Cinco Plaza Apartments are brilliant for the price we paid. We stayed in a one bed room apartment, which was on the ground floor by the main pool. Nice little apartment. Plenty of room for our son to pay with his toys on the floor. Kitchen with two hobs n microwave. No dishwasher though.
We had a brilliant stay and tried to book for next year summer but had already sold out of all the free child places. There is an on site so supermarket, as well as one down over the road. If you've rented a car, there is a Spar around the back.
To the beach front is all down hill. A taxi back for two cost us 4Euro.
The staff are brilliant.
During the day it gets very noisy sure kids playing, so not great if your going for a chilled poolside relaxation holiday, but awesome for kids.
We had a similar experience to one of the reviewers. And on a couple of nights there are a handful of people out in the main area talking very loudly, unfortunately, the sofa bed is in the front of the apartment, which meant our son didn't get to sleep until well after 2am on that night.
As said, overall it was brilliant, and Thomson were very good. Will try and go again another year!

We stayed for a week, the appts were very spacious. Kitchen was well equipped they even supplied you with dishwashing liquid! They are very central but you do have a steep hill to climb up and down... Sylvia on reception is very helpful and will do anything for you... Bar staff could cheer up a little! Go for an upper floor if you want a sunny balcony the lower ones can be a bit shaded... We went to a great Chinese restaurant called the Oriental world - Fabulous!

Room Tip: Go for an upper floor in the red block...

We went on our first Trip to Cinco Plazas with our three and half year old daughter, and we were very very happy indeed, The staff are so nice and make you welcome from the moment you arrive,
We had it in our head what we were looking for, Security, Lifeguards around the pools and easy access to the main town and shopping area, It checked all the boxes for us here.
They have two security guards on at night that sit out by the main Pool, and don't take any messing at all.
Life Guards are fantastic, always looking out for the kids.

One down side to the pool area is that there is a 40 min time limit on your towels, so if you go for breakfast down town after queuing up in the morning and getting your umbrella for your children, they will remove your towels and give the seats away, I understand why, but when you have kids and you need to keep them out of the sun, they should be more understanding.

Also the restaurants in the area are great, But the biggest surprise was the hotel its self, The bellybuster Breakfast cost a little under €4.00 with a tea or coffee and it tastes really nice, when we priced around the Irish Bar next door has the same breakfast, with no tea/coffee with a drink of coke cost €11.00, so it pays to look around, Also the Buffet in the hotel, is a really nice meal and very cheap for all you can eat, i think it was €6.00 for adults and €3.00 for kids, we loved the food, every night its a different country, Italian, Mexican, French, Spanish......

The biggest thing for us,Was the kids club, we said from the first day we would not put her in, because we were on holiday with her, but after we found out it was run by Thomson themselves and are vetted through the UK, we were very happy to let her go for two hours in the afternoon if she wanted, and she did, with her little friends she made when she was there.
Kate and they other Thomson girls were fantastic and our little one, had a fab Holiday.

Every-night had a night for the kids, Magic shows and Irish Dancers and lots lots more
here is one of the magic show audience members brought up to the stage.

We met lovely people around the Pool and would definitely recommend too people to Book here,
We have already booked another trip here next year, and cant wait to go again.
