“Nice clean apartment”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 1, 2013

Having been moved from the disastrous Rosamar, we were pleased to discover this very pleasant location. Apartment was clean and spacious, and well equipped. As advertised, the apartment was cleaned, thoroughly, on five of the seven days we were there, and linen was changed frequently. There is a 'mini-mart' on site and there are other supermarkets within easy reach. It is very central, so close to a good selection of restaurants and bars, as well as public transport.
We travelled with Thompsons, and their reps are also based there, so no problem contacting them should the need arise. These guys(Nathan and Bryony) deserve a special mention for sorting out the issue with the Rosamar so quickly.

Room Tip: As there is no air conditioning, some visitors might prefer an upper floor apartment where windows c...

Stayed at this hotel in the first week of September so managed to get a cheaper rate as it wasn't in the school holidays which was great. However, there still was quite a lot of children but we wasn't too fussed about them.
The room was pretty basic, was booked for a double room but was actually a twin room which was a bit strange so had to push the beds together. Kitchen, dining table, sofa bed, shower in bath and patio area as we were in a ground floor apartment. No air conditioning, could have it at a price but when we asked there was a waiting list which was more or less impossible chance of getting a unit so we just used the fan they supplied. Room was very clean on arrival and beds get made everyday however, by the end of the week the floor was really mucky and could probably have done with a mop.
The swimming pool area and facilities were nice but was hard to get a sunbed if you wasn't up early to put your towels down. Also, the pool is freezing, there is no acclimatizing to this water, you get in shivering and ten minutes later you're still shivering. So if you don't like freezing cold water hit the beach.
We had bed and breakfast which was nice but was only available between 8 and 10 if I remember correctly which was a bit annoying but we got up for it. There was both full english and continental options yet some of the english breakfast options were a bit strange. Chicken nuggets with breakfast - bit unusual. Food was average, don't think the dinner would have been very good so pleased we chose this option.
The location is brilliant, really close to the main strip of Puerto del Carmen and the beach, lots of restaurants, bars, shops and only a short walk to the Old town which is lovely. Also buses run from all round the area to different parts of Lanzarote, we went to Playa Blanca twice and was only a twenty minute journey.
Overall standard hotel, definitely get what you pay for, would recommend it to families and couples.

Stayed here in a 1 bed apt for 2 weeks. Room 2224. 1st floor in Montana overlooking pool. Morning sun on balcony until 3pm. Large apartment. Cleaned 5 times a week. Linen and towels changed regularly. Very close to Dino supermarket and Spinnakers bar/restaurant. Only small issue was you had to get your sunbed at 9am prompt but we were always awake then. Pool at Montana was freezing but main pool was much warmer. Recommend these apartments as good value, clean, safe, good location. 1st floor get much more sun than ground floor. Courtesy room for late check out. Lots of Scandinavian families and some nights the entertainment is not for English guests but so much going on locally this was not a problem. Overall I would recommend and would def consider returning.

Room Tip: Try and get a ground floor near the pool

Just returned from a ten day holiday at Cinco Plasas and would not return.Firstly, our rooms were very clean on arrival but the last five days we didnt have any new towels or cleaning in apartment so i had to go and ask for towels. On the first days the weather was cooler and the pool temp. was abso .freezing. So much so my childs lips turned blue! When the weather improved the pool was more bearable. The size of the main pool and the childrens pool being aside to it was the best feature (when the weather was hot) and the childrens pool was heated which was good.We had bed and breakfast , the breakfast was a huge let down. The quality of the food was so poor, esp. the sausages and bacon and coffee from a machine not nice.Ended up eating just croissants each day.We watched the entertainment in hotel on the first night and found the 'benidorm' style dated dance act consisting of a woman in a thong style leotard wriggling around with a 80s looking partner just very amusing and not exactly ideal for children! In our apartment, meant for family of four we had two single beds which were pushed together which i shared with my children and one very hard pull out bed my husband found pretty unbearable. Two of the pillows stank of bovril!! eughh! there was also a wonky shelf holding 3 kitchen appliances which was dangerous to boil the kettle on. thomson transfer to airport did not turn up for us and two other families!!! We had to get a cab and were very late to arrive at airport. Cinco plasas were dreadfully unhelpful with this matter .topping it off no free wifi and if you go to lanzarote must see rancho texas park and you can easily get tickets at the entrance and taxis cheaply to and from there although cinco plasas insisted we needed to pre book tickets! .Try club oceano if staying at lanzarote. Very clean and great location.cinco plasas was disappointing.

Just back from Cinco Plaza and thought the complex offered a dedent standard of accommodation. The apartment was a reasonable distance way from the pool and bar area but backed on to one of the paths around the complex so there was a bit of noise from people wandering back in from the main resort. It was also next to some kind of generator which provided a constant background hum so ear plugs were required for a decent sleep. The accommodation was a good size, large bedroom and open plan kitchen/lounge with good balcony and was kept very clean and tidy.

Good sized heated pool though it opens quite late at 10.00am and the lifeguard is stacking the sun loungers well in advance of the 6pm close. Didn't use the bar or eat here so no idea what the standard was.

The real downside is that quite a few things cost extra. You have to hire an ironing table and the telly in you room only works if you pay for it. Each room comes with a safe but you have to pay for that too-around - around 15 euros. Cushions for the sun loungers are chargeable also, but the biggesriley down is the wi-fi charge. I wanted to download a movie onto my iPad for the flight back so paid 6 euros for a day wi-fi access. After a couple of hours it became apparent that the movie was going to take several days to download at the available speeds. Went back to reception to explain and was told with a shrug that wi-fi on the island is terrible! Good advice to know before you shell out for it. However, quite a few bars offer free wi-fi and download speeds in some seemed much better than Cinco Plaza, so for the cost of a big beer (2euros) you can do in an hour what it would take a day and three times the price to do back at the apartment.

Complex location is ideal, just a short stroll down into the main strip of Puerto Del Carmen and its range of shops and bars but far enough away to avoid the noise.

I'm not sure it offers total value for money at the price we paid (over £500 for a week self catering) though that maybe has more to do with agent commission than anything else!

Room Tip: Would opt for first floor rather than ground if near the pool.
